The Captain Dietrick appears one morning with a wooden signboard outside Norwick's South gates. He knocks the sign board into the ground with a hammer, and pastes a poster on it. It says: "Harvest Moon Festival! Food, games and prizes! Don't miss it!" Below the words is a drawing of a map giving directions to the silver valley. Some additional scribbling reads "keep going west"._

People have been told that they should bring one wax candle, although it is not a requirement and all are welcome to join in the long walk to show pay their respects. It is also explained that animal-fat burning candles are not appropriate to send the correct message.
