Those investigating the situation more thoroughly and talking to a number of witnesses will uncover the following:
A great deal of commotion ensued when the veiled woman known as "Seer" was accused of hiding a toe bone, in order to prevent the curse victims from gathering all of the bones.
Later, the necromancer's advice led to the re-consecration of the entire camp as a precaution against what might happen when the lich's bones were gathered together in one place.
The missing toe bone was found, and following a great deal of commotion, the bones were carried out of the camp in a large procession, the curse victims carrying most of the bones, and Lilin carrying the missing toe bone, at a good distance. They were brought to the temple of Kelemvor and reassembled without further incident.
More meticulous fact-checkers will find out that the necromancer is widely believed to be a horrible person, and that the blue bard wasn't actually in the camp for most of the discussions.
