With the reconstruction of Peltarch largely being completed, and many of the powers that be now looking outward against new external threats, Cobin Daedalus has determined now is the time for his tenure as Acting Guard General to wind down.
Daedalus had reluctantly stepped into the role at royal request, following the defection of the previous Guard General Velhar, who fled the Jewel's justice following the downfall of her erstwhile ally, Jessica Whyte.
Now, Councillor Daedalus has made it known he will bring a shortlist of candidates for the position of Guard General to the Royal Council for consideration. Expected candidates are the existing Guard Captains; Fortescue, Halbrook and Garand, but the Councillor is said to be open-minded about submissions from others who may wish to be considered. So long as they are citizens of Peltarch and have solid leadership experience, be it within the Guard, the Defenders or perhaps even other organisations, due consideration will be given.
Any citizen interested in furthering the cause of Law and Order in Peltarch is invited to recommend any appropriate candidates to Councillor Daedalus, and to attend the public meeting of the Royal Council where the shortlist will be reviewed, and a final recommendation submitted to King Thalaman.
