  Varchess DeLeon- PRIESTESS OF WAUKEEN Physical Description: Varchess DeLeon - Is known after conversations with a few locals in Peltarch as an unusual devotee of Waukeen. She appeared quite out of the blue, and physically is not large and burly in appearance but appears to be strong in arm, being seen in light-order armour as well as heavy plate, shields of large size and only armed with hand-to-hand weapons. She always appears with a blue symbol of a crescent moon on any white background, tunic, cloak or tabard, as well as wearing a rich golden holy symbol of the Lady of Coin around her neck. Public Knowledge: All that is known about the priestess is that she hails from Telflamm and came on the request of the high priestess of Waukeen in the region after an outpouring of faith among the traders in Peltarch after numerous troubles and hampering of their daily trade. She is known to have been assisted by other friendly faiths in the region, but it is not known why this is. She has been seen in the company of messengers of the Herald of Peltarch, as well as some heavy infantry who flank her at all times when in the city. Whose company she keeps outside the city is not known. Defenders, Seafarers and Wavebreakers have all been seen very prominently at the new shrine, while many of the nearby traders are almost giddy with excitement, for however long her presence is there. She has been observed to carry herself with a degree of perhaps haughtiness, or maybe simply a degree of separation and keeping of herself apart from others, though she appears gracious in compliments and thanks, and seems highly socially adept.   THE PLAYWRIGHTS CHALLENGE PLOT The Playwright / The Yellow Cloaked Prince A powerful fey of the Unseelie Court. The Playwright, who is known to his followers as the Yellow Cloaked Prince, has spent years producing stories and plays for the enjoyment of his peers and especially his beloved Queen. With a variety of enchanted tools, the Playwright can manipulate reality, and with it he turns the lives of ordinary people into the grand (and always exclusively tragic) stories woven at his leisure. A sadist, whose favorite topic is the erosion of hope, the Playwright never plays fair, and his stories always end one way. With the hero losing. He is a patron of those who have fallen to madness or despair through their creativity, from the starving artist who cannot make ends meet, all the way to the serial killer who views his work as another form of art. All of them will, eventually, hear the whispers of the Yellow Cloaked Prince, who offers them alleviation and ascension in their work, at the cost of them becoming more puppets to play with. Of course, should they deny him... they'll find his sweet temptations are far from optional.

  Lyra, the Angel without a throat A wiry woman with silvery skin and hair, and large wings growing out of her shoulders. Her aura is unmistakably that of a celestial. A herald in the service of Milil, who quite literally crashed into the Nars from above. Weighed down in a puddle of black ooze, and cut out with a scythe. Though adventurers on the scene were able to tend to most of her wounds, her throat has been torn out of her neck in some manner of cursed injury, preventing her from singing, speaking, or casting magic. While being a celestial means she is still able to communicate with telepathy, the bubbling and wheezing noises she makes are very off-putting. Given a scarf to cover her neck, and put up in the bardic college at the moment, Lyra is seen strumming instruments, watching student performances with wonder, and sitting with the Foo Lion Sopherial, as well as the white cat Cream Cheese, left there as a therapy cat. Lyra claims that she had been searching for her dear friend she hadn’t seen in a while. Upon finding her, she was “different”, stole her throat, and escape was narrow, resulting in her being found in the Nars as such.   Mercenary Harlow Physical Description: A man in his mid-twenties, with a fair face beset by stubble as well as a disheveled mop of curly black hair. His most distinguishing feature is the clever gleam in his eye. He is otherwise muscular and carries himself as well as his blade with alacrity, and wears an assortment of chain and leather. An iron pendant in the shape of a hand dangles from a leather string around his neck. Public Knowledge: Harlow works for a mercenary outfit operating in and around the nation of Amn called the "Iron Hand." This named enterprise has been allegedly involved in the slave trade, having used prominent shipping guilds as a front. The former leader of the Iron Hand was an arena master operating in the Amnish City of Athkatla. However, that arena master is now dead, killed at the hands of a Narfellan adventuring company. Leadership of the Iron Hand has been replaced and assumed by a mysterious and unknown individual. This unknown leader prefers to work through delegation. Harlow is one such delegate. The new leadership has also apparently made major changes to the Iron Hand's operations, notably ending the alleged slavery and focusing entirely on the recovery and trade of powerful artefacts. The most notable targets of this artefact hunt are the ingredients to the all-coveted Ambrosia. Besides his professional affiliation to the Iron Hand, Mercenary Harlow is a self-proclaimed cunning battle tactician and strategist. Whether this is or isn't true remains to be seen. During a stand-off against a band of Narfellan adventurers at the Witch and Seer Inn, Harlow apparently set up a hasty ambush which was immediately critiqued by the adventurers. Harlow ordered his outfit's ballistas be set up on a peculiar hill which meant he and his band stood between its line of fire and the adventuring party - rendering the ballista useless. This blunder led to his losing the battle, and having to escape. Thematic Music: Expedient schemes.

  Tello Phire / Zeline Reeving / Rufus Roundear / Boole Tasso / Leslie Fim Physical Description: The fair-faced young Bard's eyes are a light brown shade. It matches the hue of his hair, which hangs loose. His voice is pleasant and clear. His demeanor is typically calm and relaxed. He very rarely wears anything in excess, and apparently travels light. A lyre is strapped over the shoulder of his tunic. Public Knowledge: The fellow goes by many names. He is known to the dwellers of Peltarch and the Northern Nars as Tello Phire, to the halflings and to Hinhold as Zeline Reeving, to the elves as Rufus Roundear, to the Gur wanderers as Boole Tasso, and there are likely several other names unbeknown to the public. Each of those who know him, regardless of name, praise his music and welcome his presence. He is as popular with Narsmen as he is with the Hin, the Elves, and the Gur. He typically carries his business without upfront payment, though is known to ask for gold that can be spared from those he helps or for whom he performs. He very rarely stays in the same place long, preferring instead to travel and to wander. A few - namely other Bards - claim who have held prolonged conversations with the fellow. Those conversations, it is said, were of art, of abstractions, of aesthetics, and of how to live meaningfully. More recently, it's revealed that this Bard is actually Leslie Fim, leader of the Nars Bandit Forces. Thematic Music: Raising a ruckus.

  Eastland Marauder Archmage Description A powerful and enigmatic figure, who has dedicated her life to mastering the secrets of time magic. She is intelligent but brash and impatient, possessing a deep understanding of the intricacies of time magic. Rumours and Speculation She is driven by a desire to overcome the finality of history. She is highly ambitious, and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She is feared by many, for even the great mages of yore reckoned using magic to attempt to interfere with time was to invite the wrath of higher powers. She is said to be making use of both the Menhirs dotted throughout Narfell, as well as a strange extraplanar substance which rumours suggest fuels her strange brand of arcana.
