Camp Bon Fire Rumors and Stories

  • A man is seen entering the Tree where Jeni has been sleeping late at night…. slipping out quietly just at dawn.

Funny, her steps seem a little lighter these days, and her smile a little brighter.

  • tala looks especially worn of late. It seems she is burning the candle at both ends. It is often hard to tell if the smudges under her eyes are darker than the smudges on the fingers on her right hand. She is often seen rubbing the hand while awake and is always drinking strong dark tea. She spends some time with the children, but often asks Star or Sarah to watch them while she naps. Most nights after putting the children to bed she can be seen leaving the camp. If asked to where she mutters something about research

  • It is said that there was a fair and honest duel between a Banite wizard and a paladin at the crossroads. The paladin died, while the Banite remained nearly unscathed.

  • Rumors spread that Penny was seen walking south toward Sam's Hill from Peltarch with a paintbrush in one hand, a bucket of paint in the other, and a smile on her face, all while singing a happy tune about days gone by.

  • _Recently, Lycka being more aware of her surroundings as she gets older, she can be seen humming the familiar tunes that Ocean had sung in the concert days ago.

Considering that Lycka has a good pair of strong lungs which is honed through screaming and crying, her joyful baby hums could be heard throughout the Gypsie camp forest._

  • As the dawn light creeps through the trees many sleepy Rom, Gali and visitors slowly make their way to their beds following a very successful Concert and Festival. Ocean is looking doubly smug, though triply tired, as her songs all went down well, and she also won the story competition. She thanks all who came, congratulates the helmed man some call Alexi and some Aris on winning the Archery contest and totters off to collapse into bed.

  • A small woman wearing black and red was ween walking in and out of Cera's Tree. She was followed both times by Alexi and Ramona. They were calling out her name… Elridith, but there was no response and the name only seemed to anger her.

  • _Of those Romani who were rescued from the Cold Caves after being ambushed by Ogres, many have taken to crafting fine looking wares within the camp itself and reworking much of what was for sell before. It is rumored that quite a few are skilled with leathers in particular though prone to odd color choices.

Though many are not sure why, tensions amongst the full blooded Romani seem to be increasing, driving a number to leave the camp entirely with little to no words said. For every one that leaves however, it seems another two come into the pass, and are willing to stick around for awhile. The late night talking sections by the fires after chores seem to be increasing more into talk of other things besides the Romani, and a lot of the Gali seem to notice that they are keeping more coin from the few card games they have been playing. Gaje of course lose as often as ever, though that appears to be because they have no more sense then ever.

Minor construction of some kind appears to be going on in three places, though the Romani are quick to shoo away onlookers. The Communal tree is gathering a large pile of dirt outside of it, as is the Earth Rammed Nook, and furniture is seen going into and then out both. Also there is some kind of work that was beginning on the north east cliff wall but that appears to be stalling as if the stone cutters are unsure if they are even supposed to be continuing on it or not.

The reported growling noises from the pass seem to be coming from a number of cats that have taken up a home in the caves there, and are multiplying in numbers from all reports, and vague rumors that the ogres have completely changed tactics and spells have many on edge as they try to figure out who has been training them lately.

A whispered name begins to be attached to the caves.. more so then the drow were before. The name.. Vaxin Roe._

  • A group returns from the cold caves with a name on their tounge

    "Vaxin Roe…"

  • Four people and a mephit go into the woods, looking for a cauldron. A while later they return sans the mephit. Three remain for a moment at the fire, talking of fate or fates and three and tests.

  • _Ever since the incident with the shadows, Zoma appears to look much more calmer, focused. He is often found meditating quietly at the fire or practicing his swordsmanship with a dummy doll whenever the camp is at its peaceful moment.

People who were familiar with Zoma in adventuring together with him would find his swordsmanship to have evolved differently. His strokes are much more tamed and calm, his swings are much more swift and elegant than one filled with brutish strength. His swordplay retains its unpredictable nature, but yet seemingly to be looking natural like it is part of nature itself.

Zoma seems to be taking a different route of swordsmanship than many had taken in the land of Narfell._

  • _Just recently, a violent battle had taken place in the inner part of the camp between a group of Guardians and Sisterhood members against a peculiar powerful mage in the mining caves of the camp.

It happened while the Guardians and the Sisterhood were busy aiding the camp in providing the much needed security by patrolling and guarding'objects of importance', whatever they may be protecting within the cave. The mage was assumed to be attempting to steal that particular object in the cave.

The commotion in the cave eventually shifts its place outside, a massive battle taking place nearby the bridge that led to the gnoll territory. Gali guards witnessed the scene of the mage attempting to flee to the gnoll lands but only to be subdued by a swordswoman, Sara before he could escape.

Later, people witnessed the mage being bounded with all of his fingers dislocated and tied around the human face rock dislocated being questioned by Jonni.

Not long after, another round of commotion occured leaving a group of severely injured Guardians and Sisters lying around the dead mage.

The body of the mage was last seen being beheaded and disposed of down the deep rifts of the camp by one of the Gali guards._

  • _At times, Arandor can be seen seeking whatever escape from the babies as he can, usually sneaking off to Star's tent to get a quiet moment away from it all. Taking a little 'too' long in collecting firewood and hunting food for his family, other times joining campers in their patrols, as well as the Guardians, whoever seems to not mind his company…

It isn't long before he's caught and ushered back home by his daughter Sarah, time and time again, but not before making him feel a little guilty for it._

  • Upon seeing Zoma and Ragnhild with their baby in the camp often staying in tents, Tala offers them use of one of the cave rooms for awhile. Rumor has it a tired looking Tala said, "Whats one more sqwalling baby." Star and Sarah are more often found sleeping in Star's tent.

  • _A bit of an incident occured right in the middle of the camp, near the fires. Shadows appeared from apparently nowhere. Three adventurers, and one known Gali defended the camp from them. Though one of these adventurers, known as Zoma, seemed to be out of it. Each shadow that seemed to be struck down, Zoma winced in pain. He was blabbering strange nonsense as the other three fought off the shadows. Lightning came down often, striking the shadows and clearing them out, but they continued to come.

The brave Gypsy guards defended the camp as well, nearly having their lives taken by the onslaught of darkness. The crazed Zoma ran off into the woods, the three others followed. Eventually, he was seen been carried by the Gali druid, Zoma's severed arm carried by another in the group. He was taken to Jeni's, then shortly was seen being carried out of the camp by the group._

  • With the advent of Tala's new twins Star spends most nights in her own tent now, though she goes back for meals since her cooking is now almost legendary and her "Burnt black on the outside but still bleeding inside Chunks of some kind of beast Flesh" is sought throughout the land by people suffering from constipation.
Tala's natural daughter Sarah'linae spend many nights in Star's tent too on impromptu sleepovers eating cookies Star also didn't cook herself. Apparently babies are lovely when you can give them back, but horrible when you're a pre-teen and trying to sleep.

  • _Zoma can be seen looking in dilema and worried in the camp whenever night falls. A black mark with an unfamiliar art can be seen across his palm for those perceptive enough.

Rumours begins to spread that Zoma might have been haunted by some spirits as the Galis begin to speculate the mark on his hand and his unusually look of discomfort on his face, and the scream of horror he had made just days ago may be all related to his current uncomfortable state. Thus, many Galis begin to avoid associating with him and the children even more fearful of him.

At night, whispers from the darkness and shadows seems to haunt the camp._

  • The swordswoman most know as Sara has also been patrolling the Camp and the inner cave area's. She returns daily to Cera's tree though and is sometimes absent for periods of time, when she departs following a still furious looking pink haired bard around.

  • Belade lends a hand with the moving, often casting Bull's Strength on herself beforehand (when no one else is close to her)
