  Been a while since I posted anything, so here's some spam! I tried to rearrange them from newest to oldest, but I don't always remember. Most are from last season, the huge beard one was this year, but I've since trimmed it down. Love my ren faire photos, and competing in the archery competitions is SO MUCH FUN. So, here's my sharing. The tiny badass is my girlfriend Andrea. Enjoy! (And yes, the bow is as big as it looks. I have a 32+ inch draw. It's ridiculous. Yes, I usually look that smug. It's just my face. And also yes, my form was terrible last year, dropping my anchor point. I'm much better this year.)

  CrossCode I've been playing the hell out of this game since I got it for Christmas. And I'm probably only a third of the way through. Absolutely love this game. Incidentally, it's a big reason why I've not been around here during my holiday break...

  Through my years playing Green and Lyte I've shed many a real tear over fantasy characters and their comings and goings, and being a creative sort of person with a very active imagination, I tend to sometimes think of the people behind the characters by their creations personas and names- I just can't help it. I interacted a lot with Summoner's two characters over the years- but seldom OC with the man behind the curtain. Even so, I got the sense that here was a very caring- a nurturing sort of human being who always took the time to think before he spoke, and who tried his best to accomodate my own characters sense of moral dignity. He was someone who would make the same effort with very young newbs as he would with old friends. You could feel his- maturity or perhaps wisdom expand in later years. Probably the knowledge of his own mortality added extra sensitivity to what are often years that are filled with a feeling of invincibilty and youth. Both Narfell and our real world are lesser places without him, though, it would seem from the wide and heartfelt response here, that our friend will never be truly gone from this little virtual world, for he has carved out a legendary place in each of our hearts. Summoner's magic was of the sort that is never extinguished.

  I welcome any comments or/and especially criticism for both books. I don't get a lot of feedback on them but there are a lot that have downloaded the first. Most of my friends that I use for reviewers think they are great with a few criticisms which I try to correct before I release the novels. Would like to make the last book the best book of the series so anything everyone thinks here I'll listen to while I take a six month break from heavy writing. Lauriella's story is of course tied to the children of hell trilogy. Her story (the here and now) takes places some 20 years after the 2nd book. There are a few minor spoilers and you can readily find the time line between the two. In book 2 Velvet is in his mid forties, Lauriella meets him in his mid 60s. Fawn is of course pretty much timeless being Irda (a high ogre of Krynn). Randyl still looks young because of something he acquired in the first book and used in the second book.
