  • Word has spread that a small group of Gali.. and one purple garbed Gaje watched the spirit girl in the spider pass, as she entered into the cave. Though nothing was found, afterwards Sy'wyn was seen taking Mirkali into Katya's tree, and shortly after Mirkali was escorted out. A few hours pass and Sy'wyn came out and returned Mirkali's journal. Some guess that Mirkali stumbled across something that was of use to the camp. Others talk of Mirkali proposing to Katya, and how she turned him down. Others make mention that Sy'wyn may have an answer now. None are to sure of the words that passed between Sy'wyn and Katya, but he is seen back by the fire in his usual place, and talking to a few Gali as he can.

  • If no one has noticed, Tris has not been around the camp in recent times. Having disapared, she was last seen by the camp fire at moon rise but seems to have left no trace of her sudden departure, not even a note or a letter to any of her friends or Zoma….

  • Sy'wyn has been seen at the edges of the fire's light, wrapped in his cloak, hood low. Any who watch him for long enough will notice he has his armor on, his shield unstrapped and close to hand, and his sword arm is free at all times. His eyes are a just a bit to bright as they flit here and there across the camp at the smallest motion. He is willing to share information, telling any Gali who asks that Penny is hard at work translating runes that were found on a cave wall… that druids have talked to the dryad... that even Baba Katya has been consulted and given her opinion. Everything hints to one place... a place they have searched time and again... Off and on, a Gali passing close can hear Sy'wyn mumble,

"e: the proper place, at the proper time….. patience... Sy'wyn, patience...."

  • Tarrick is seen much less often in camp. When he is there, he is not his usual joviel self. Most of the time he speaks to no one other than a quick nod or hello. The time by the fire is usually spent in prayer, causing quite a bit of singed clothing by flying sparks.

  • Cotton jumps at any opportunity to go out and search for this ring, following any clues or leads told to her.

Many know of the short time left to find this ring, others speculate its all for coin or personal gain. But the seriousness of the search is not in question, as many now who live in camp endlessly continue their hunt.

  • Erok is frequently seen returning to the camp bloodied and bruised, with occasional knuckle prints laid across his jaw-line. He always returns with a red hand-print on the front of his armor - sometimes with an extra weapon, but more often than not he walks in with one less than when he left, strapped to his pack.

  • _• The tremors that the camp folk have acclimitized themselves to over the last few months seems to come to halt… but not before huge sections of the cliff face in the Gypsy Camp come crashing down... revealing ancient mines and caverns along it's edges. Some are even nearly intacts... although empty.

    • Arandor is given permission by the King to lay claim to one of the caves for a home for himself and his family.

    • Torch Khan pays the King handsomly for the right to build a home into one of the other discovered caves.

    • The camp finally has a suitable place to store thier large store of wine casks. Babo Latco, a legendary Romani wine and brewmaster decides to set up shop and run the vineyards in the cliffs on behalf of the King.

    • Trade routes seem to have opened slightly since the Defiler's death and the first travelling merchant from Impultur travels up the Forest Blood River through the Rawlinswood and sets up shop within the camps.

    • The King grows very interested in the ancient runestones and stone carvings throughout the camp. A particularly large stone is heaved out of the chasms to the north after an expedition led by the King goes into the Cold Caves. He know works on uncovering the hidden writings within the stone.

    • Baba Katya's old friend Windsong, a forest gnome, comes for a visit and decides to stay for a while to watch over the glenn in the camp.

    • An older Rashemi man comes in and is seen talking and laughing with Swordmaster Tero. Overheard stories include adventures it seems that Tero and this man had together as youth. Afteerwards the Rashemi can be seen watching the north gate intently and has set out a tent along the northern edge of the camp. He speaks very seldomly and watches near the edges of the fires when a group gathers._

  • After spending two nights following his cousins' ghosts Llach has decided to take matters in hand. After sitting with Sy he nodded, touched a tree and waved his hands in the shape of a female form.

"You are going to talk to her?" Sy asked.

Llach nodded and went off to prepare for the trip into the spider woods. With patience and luck he would make it past the eight legged guards and to the dryad who might know more of the gypsy camp and a ring than the locals. Her tree is old, and so is she. She might have clues to the past that have been forgotten by the gypsies.

In his mind the gates opened. Is it true?

    Yes

    Is it needed?

    yes.

He would speak with her, this was important. It had been years since he last spoke, he went out into the bush and tried . . . his voice sounded raw and hoarse but it would do . . . it would have to.

  • Two ghostly forms can be seen around camp frantically searching for something. Any who are familiar with Alvar Blackwood and Pyavain Blackwood will see the resemblance in their spectral images. Both look mournful and try to get the attention of any gali they cross to aid them in their search.

  • At the urging of Sy'wyn and others after the increased seriousness of the situation with the undead and the ring, Penny describes some runes that were found on a pillar in the goblin cave during an expedition she took with Sul'lina, Elrin, and Bow, which led them into a cave accessed by a staircase beneath the water. Penny recounts the runes very clearly: the stone was bitterly cold to the touch, and while she could not read the runes inscribed on it, they left her with an unusually familiar feeling. She has begun to transfer them from memory to a sheet of parchment she holds very close to herself at all times. She says she hopes they can be translated, perhaps with help from the library in the Bardic College. She does not appear concerned that she did not write them down earlier, indicating that something that leaves such an impression in your mind is not easily forgotten…

((Sorry for not posting this earlier when it happened... If this part of the plot is a useful clue, I'd be open to having Penny work through a translation IG with some DM guidance. :)))

  • Erok speaks with his usual serious tone, while sitting around the camp's fires.

She was not happy with going into the gypsy pass. Her mother had told her again and again not to walk here, but Nadia had almost as little regard for her mother as did for the Gali. Besides her sister was here, as well as her niece and she looked forward to speaking with Tala after so long. A smile crossed nadias face…momentairly, quickly ....and unknowinly for the last time.
The day she arrived was also a happy day for the Gali, two of thier own would be joined. Nadia ventured over to the crowd that had gathered, but hurried away seeing that bride and groom were of different races. She struggled to control her revulsion even if her own sister was half elven it troubled her to see such a union.
Waiting near the fires for the cermoney to finish she tried to calm herself, remembering her time with her mother these past 5 years. Though defiant to the lifeshapers authority Nadia found herself slowing sliping back into her old ways. Once she would not even let the non-elven males approach her, but her time away from the camp, and more importantly the time with her sister and her lover Arandor had soften.....almost eliminated those feelings. But now, 5 years later the old arrogance had returned. She sat in disgust awaiting her sisters arrival.
Upon seeing Tala she felt her heart soar.......tightly they embraced and kissed. The conversation was light and joy full, until Arandor approached holding his and Tala's child Sarah'linae. Nadia did not know, could not have explained what happened next but somehow the child....filled her with anger. The angry words rose easilly to her mouth striking out at all around her, Tala, Arandor, any who would disagree with her views on other races.....she had become obsessed with getting her sister away form here. Better to leave the bastard child with Arandor both would be old long before Tala was old, and the only thing Nadia could value at this moment was her pride, which she would salvage by taking her sister far from these mongrals.
Stung by her words Tala and Arandor went to speak with Tara, the camps servant of selune. Nadia was outraged...charged after them ....and into her ultimate fate....

  • Sy'wyn has been asking any Druids in the camp to try and speak to the dryad in the pass… He mentions that since she has been there for a long time, she may know more about the ring and the recent spirit then any others....

  • Talk still continues of the group that went out to clear a cave, and returned badly beaten…. After only a short rest, many were witness to the ground opening, and Umber Hulks, Beetles, and Fire Lizards crawling out and attacking those by the fire. This continued until the holes closed and a voice echoed out over the Gypsy Camp..."

    Three… months....

" Numerous Gali have been frantically searching for a ring….

  • Murmurs, murmurs spread through camp of the cave and some little bone critter that hardly could be harmed by sword or bow. Hulks are said to have been spotted along with this critter and flaming creatures of some sort.

Are they still searching for something? Is there going ons in the Gremlin cave that needs investigating? Many share their woes and curiosities of the matter.

  • _::Camp folks begin to whisper among themselves about a ghostly female being seen around the woods::

::Fear among the camp about the Undead and their growing numbers both in quanity and strength, "did ya here about the cave recently?" asks one. Another was overheard saying, "some ghastly undead creature with no head was seen and is said to have the strength of 10. If this is a sign of things to come. I may have to move my family on sooner then planned".::

::The name Sinti can be heard being whispered in almost every conversation when the dead are mentioned. "I do hope the King and the elders figure out the way to remove the curse from the dead. Before Sinti has his way with us"::_

  • Some undead had attacked a few days ago. Most surprising of all, a werecat appeared in the chaos of the battle and aided in fighting against the undead. Many were wary of the beast, though some of the older gali calmed the rest by assuring the werecat was an ally. Those that paid particular attention in the battle would have noticed that a blond half-elf wearing black and green was the person who became the beast.

  • Word spreads that Daria is seen around camp looking very very ill. Sticking as close to her husband for as long as he has free time, she is seen each morning snuggled up in his arms sitting close to the fire. The only thing that truly seems unusual is her constant running into the woods, promptly followed by her husband carrying her out of the woods and back to the shanty to rest.

  • A few representitives of the Legion greeted the campers one evening… As the Romani would overhear, a meeting will be taking place at the Legion Hall in Jiyyd within a weeks time, and the Gali Elders are to attend. Something to do with the Orcs and Undead? Time will tell...
