Jiyyd Rumors
-
Word spreads of a war machine that killed a few people in the night.
-
General Theaon can be seen on the eastern outskirts of the Jiyyd farmland directing the workers and showing them various blueprints. Legion troops are also seen proving protection for the workers as they do their job.
-
General Lyte is seen leading a largish group of workers with a wagon of supplies of tools eastward. They return several days later looking dusty, tired, but satisfied.
-
A strange hooded man has been noticed wandering around town of late. He is seen to frequent the Regal Whore and Laus's arcane goods shop, but apart from those facts, his origins… and intentions... are unknown.
-
((Rumor has it that the rumor thread is for rumors and not for roleplaying an argument, thus, word around the Regal Whore is that the blah blah blah about Rando has been moved to another thread.
Thank you, come again. ))

While many believe that it is just their eyes and ears playing tricks on them the ghost a dwarf resembling Glebur the Gray has been seen around the Four Winds Monastery and Jiyyd areas. He has just been seen wandering, rambling about Ohgma and some sort of return…

On a visit to Jiyyd, Sabre saunters into the inn and orders a drink, discreetly slipping the barmaid a rather hefty tip to spread the word of an upcoming event in Peltarch.
"Oi, ye remember that fella Gargothis, doncha hun? He was here not two months ago, beatin' everyone o' Jiyyd's able-bodied fighters silly down in tha basement. Mm.. aye, tha's tha fella, arrogant as hells, but he sure knows how ta swing that axe o' his. Anyway, anyone wishin' ta reclaim their honour from before; anyone wantin' ta take a chance at winnin' themselves fame an' riches would do well ta visit tha Lucky Ferret in Peltarch. There's bound ta be some decent entertainment, even fer those not actually fightin' themselves."
//Gargothis the Undefeated awaits a fresh set of challengers in the pit of the Lucky Ferret Inn, Sunday 3/6 at 8 in the evening, GMT. Come one, come all!

The guards in Jiyyd speaks of some woman in a full plate speaking with a hooded man about a bottle. According to some the hooded man "blasted the benches" with strange magics. There is word about a half-orc that almost got hit by one of these "blasts" as well. Some say the bottle was destroyed somehow others say it was just some ale that the half-orc drank.

An odd dwarf in a blue robe is seen chopping wood all day in the forests to the west of Jiyyd. He tied all the logs together and dragged them into town and disappeared in the crafting hall, reappearing empty handed a short time later.
((Klandun dumped 69 deadwood logs in the Jiyyd craft hall. There was a note attached to the logs which were tied carefully together, it simply said "Z" in a childs handwriting))
Update: The blue robed dwarf is seen dragging another stack of logs, tied together with rope, into the Jiyyd Union Hall. ((another 31 logs to make an even 100))

People speak of a curious occurance in the swamps. Some say a young child was seen running into the swamps, chasing after what she thought was a friendly whisp. Several members of the Sisterhood, along with Yu, Thorn and Rhyn, were seen rushing in to find the little girl, only to return a few hours later reporting they had seen a vampire. Actually a cloaker to be precise. Rumor spreads that the creature was swiftly destroyed, but a request was made that if any other citizens encountered such a creature to report it to the guards immediately.

Travelers to and from Jiyyd notice late one night some odd letters formed into the field near the road sign of the Long Road. The letters spell out "SAYLA", whatever that means. Blackened earth form each letter, the vegetation within the word is dead and grey. Curious sorts remark on how the letters feel cold to the touch, not just lack of heat, but a foreboding feeling.
After a day or so, the letters fade as earth looks normal again. Another day or so later some vegetation appears to be growing again, erasing most trace of the letters.

Rumour has it Gargothis, a travelling professional pit fighter, recently graced the Regal Whore with his illustrious presence, readily beating several of the local fighters brave enough to step into the ring with him. After the beatings were over and done with the spectators scattered, some to continue the nights festivities with drinks upstairs. Word is that the victorious fighter will next visit Peltarch for another round of challengers.
//Kudos to Eoden for a fun little event!
(Edited the fighters name)

enjoying the time of relative peace, Amy is seen going around and advertising for the Rats and Bats Restaurant. Just the other day she brought all her friends and Horbag gave them a tour.
-
With the war ended and things going back to their usual ways, Dentin has begun hiring workers, stonemasons, carpenters and miners for a construction project, that will apparantly take place in the Ridge area.
-
Parties of legion soldiers clad in workclothes are seen west of Jiyyd, cleaning up the now quiet battlefield. Broken weapons are picked up, debris carried away.
It's a big job, as the war lasted many months, and there is much to do.
-
Frost giants still menace the ruins of Ormpur, as reported by a handful of adventurers returning from the east. Their hasty retreat to Jiyyd also seemed to stir up the wolf population somewhat, nearly killing the elven scout known as Thorn.
-
_Zoma was last seen leaving Jiyyd in a caravan with a hooded woman heading out to the crossroad, and then northwards.
It seems to be the last time anyone has seen Zoma again, the reason for his leaving from Narfell forever unknown._

With the war now over, the orcs defeated and their fortress sacked, the Chessentan Sentinels leave the region, one of them activating the portal in the Ridge and the whole group moving trough, taking their equipment with them. It seems that the three carts loaded with a special weapon remained unused, though this does not seem to bother any of them. Apparantly it is an expensive thing to use.
