@1b938d000b=Rith:
Survival guide against shadow creatures and variants.
1. Assembling for combat. When the threat is recognized as one or several shadow creatures, immediately assemble in phalanx formation. Ideally, the formation should be circular, covering both flanks and rearguard. Shadow creatures have the power to manifest anywhere where there are natural shadows. They can also produce magical shadows to manifest theirselves, and so no linear structure is safe from being approached from the rearguard.
2. Never, EVER leave the formation. If the shadow creatures lure one person away, it doesn't only open a break in the formation and exposes the weaker members of the defending team, but you risk your very life. A dozen of them can jump out of nowhere suddenly, delivering quick death to cautiousless stray defenders. It is possible that some shades may be forced to flee by experienced priests. If so, switch to ranged weapons, and take them down. Do not follow them.
3. Fear. Shades are monstruous creatures that resemble suffering and pain. Try to carry with you some protection versus fear else you'll be likely forced out of the formation, prey of the panic.
4. Undead. Save rare exceptions, Shadows and Shades are undead apparitions, and as such, share strong and weak points with other undead. Curative powers will hurt them in proportion, and the Faithful word of a priest can force them to flee, or even banish them instantly. Shades are specially resistant to this however, so it's not adviced to attempt it unless the faithful has a deep bond with their gods.
5. Concealment. Shadow creatures conceal theirselves into both magical and natural shadows and are translucid per se, very hard to hit by physical attacks. Magic or divine powers are adviced to deal with them. Their concealment advantage can be partially denied by dragging them into plain sight, so attempt this whenever possible. Their concealment can be further negated by making use of the spell or prayer "True Seeing".
These are the 5 main steps to take into account when dealing with an attack by shadow creatures. Note that due to their ability to manifest theirselves at will from any magical or even natural shadow, nobody is safe from an ambush attack. If you are not part of the main formation, attempt to place yourself in a well illuminated field with several escape routes and if possible with a lit torch. Should you notice magical shadows crawling towards you, run out of them as soon as possible. A lit torch won't stop that.
May Lathander shine upon you.

A symbol of an eight-pointed star is drawn on a parchment, with a note underneath.
"If you know this symbol and the one who used it, please seek me out.
~Kara Willendt"
The notice is placed by a red-haired woman who's robe bears the markings of Mystra. She of course pays 20 gold to the Militia when she places it.
-
The Herald announces that, by order of Commander Albryanna, the bounty for Jaelle has been removed, and she is no longer wanted for her crimes.
-
to the surprise of the citizens of the Realm of Norwick, in as little as a month another announcement from the herald comes
"For the most heinous crime of murder of a militia trainee, Jaelle is declared to be wanted by the Realm of Norwick! A bounty of 2,000 gold is also placed upon her head! Citizens should regard Jay, Jack and Jaelle to be armed and extremely dangerous and should alert the militia if they see them!"
-
Telli grins from ear to ear at the decree, simply gripping her wooden stump of a club etched with "Norwicks Protector, Chauntea's Wrath" on the side and heads out the gates Northbound. If asked where she's waddling off to in such a hurry her reply is simple and direct.
"Ta repay a Brothers in arms miss handle… and ta showedededs folks who puttededs Norwicks farmers in harms way deys gonna gets a big farkings stump ta der shin and toes afore Telli shovededs its ups der rump..."
-
The town herald, announces loudly in the square the following notice, which is then posted:
@1df812adfe=Message:
"For their most heinous crimes of murder and violent assault, Jay of the Black Sails and Jack the Umberlite Priestess are wanted by the Realm of Norwick! Furthermore, a price is placed on their heads of 2,000 gold each dead or alive! The Realm of Norwick will not tolerate such barbarity! If brought in dead, their bodies must be entirely one piece!"

@0751392e7d:
The Narfell Bardic Society Charter
The Narfell Bardic Society is the foremost home of the performing arts in the Realm of Narfell. Our home is in Peltarch, the College and Theatre being the heart of our organisation, the centre from which we work outwards. Together, we aim to advance the cause of beauty and joy in this often bleak landscape, to gather knowledge and items of beauty, and to share the gifts we have with all.
Membership in the Bardic Society is by means of admission to the College. Whilst there are no monetary fees associated with this, there is an expectation that all members will participate in performances, whether planned or spontaneous, to showcase their talents to others, and in doing so, to further our name. We will all work together to improve ourselves, and one another, so that we may build up, rather than destroy.
We believe in the freedom of expression, that no man has the right to deny free speech, nor truth in action. Our members are welcome to make their home in any town of the realm, but they will always have a place to stay within our walls. Political allegiances are to be left at the door, for our art is what binds us together, not our citizenship or membership in other groups.
We're currently seeking new members who have an interest in the fine arts. If you wish to work with other like minded individuals, seek out Master Val Kyrie or Master Elidur Ginen, or leave your name at the Peltarch Theatre.
