Tavern Rumors of Peltarch

  • ICC

An half-Orc with the Iron Chain Clan insignias on his armor, can be seen leaving Peltarch prison, after being held there for a fair ammount of days. This half-orc names gos about by Arak´Hur, the current leader of the Iron Chain Clan. He seems pleased to leave prison

  • @4a7a981d2b=Kayleb:

A loud commotion was heard at the west gate as two guards were brutally slain by orcish magic. As the defenders rushed to their post, Sergeant Marie Scuttlestone and Senator Martoushca Leaffal rushed out and gave chase to the orcish mage who had launched the attack. Anyone watching from the tower or hearing the rumor would know that Senator Leaffall was pinned down by archer fire as Marie sprinted after the mage into an ambush. After the melee Senator Leaffall was seen marching sadly through town with a defender escort, Marie’s limp body draped over her shoulder.

…This was followed by a concerted Orcish attack on the west gate. The Orcs first tried ladders, but were unsuccessful and driven back. Later, they came back with a covered battering ram, and forced the gates open.

Several citizens helped defend the gates with the defenders. Several of the defenders fell, and Sergeant Yana of the guard was briefly put in charge of the citizens and a contingent of defenders. Again the Orcs were driven back, decimated in great numbers by archers on the wall and footmen defending the gate.

  • Two adventurers were seen coming back form the orc lands claiming the head of Elfslayer, slung onto the pack of the human. They both seemed very proud of themselves

  • Tibido Tyrnannia lingers in taverns of various levels of shadiness (from light gray to darker gray, to be inexact). His conversations always seem to somehow drift towards vampires and cults residing in the sewers. He mentions them here or there, almost as if a slip of the tongue. "Oops, I shouldn't have mentioned that - Might scare the locals," he'll say, for instance.

And then he'll listen to anyone's responses, or assess their reactions visually.

((Any responses welcome in PM form or here if that's not against the rules. Tibido's trying to gather information about the vampires and cultists in the sewers for a friend.))

  • When off duty, Yana can be seen wearing the colors of the Divine Shield

A half-orc carrying insignia of Iron Chain Clan can be seen entering Peltarch jail. Emerging shortly after heading toward gates and Iron Chain Clan home cave beyond

  • "Vanderkaus listens to the small talk and remembers a certain day in the woods. Looking confused, drinks some ale and mind his own business"

  • Dev

Victor Duhrumm is seen perhaps the first time in the tavern. He smells of sewage and death and has an unhappy expression on his face of loss.

//sorry, was just trying to make it more colorful

  • Ferdinand Locke passes word that he seeks a crafter who can make a Steel Helm of Great quality

  • Word spreads that Hammerhand is looking to buy a high-quality suit of fullplate armor.

    @79ff0641a5=hepphep:

Rumors tell of new adventurer in city. Apparently he is known as Mepholus the Magnificient and has been spending lots of gold in taverns, bragging of the gigantic spider of the woods that was slain by himself alone. To prove his words he shows a huge spider leg as a proof. He also claims that the nest provided to be quite a source of wealth both in coins and in useful items.

Marty just smiles when she overhears the tales, taking another draw of her pipe

  • Tibido Tyrnannia slides over to a table that Mepholus the Magnificant sits. He places two large mugs of ale, slips one over to Meph, and eases himself into a free seat opposite of him. He grins friendily, but slyly: "I hear you've got yourself quite the spider trophy, Mister Magnificant. I'd love to hear how you got it." Tibido chats with him to try and figure out where the 'source of wealth' is.

((OOC: We can meet up in game rather than clut this thread if you prefer, Meph.))

  • An undead monster was rumored to have been hunting those who would hunt orcs. Rumors of it being linked to a Peltarch women also were spoken throughout the last few nights.

  • _Rumours spread that every person in Peltarch mysteriously had a plate of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy appear in front of them one evening. There is also a sense of peace all over the city, the sick suddenly getting well, those with worries suddenly forgetting them, like a burden was removed from them.

In the commons, lights shine and white stags and ethereal bunnies run around merrily, a goblin snowman positioned by a never ending keg of hot wine. The blessing of the god-child Leanna was seen by most of the city before the nights end, as she appears to them and hands out presents for the Winter Solstice. The next few days after, there is no rain, white fluffy snow covering the Commerce District instead._

  • Word spreads that visitors are being allowed in to see the prisoners of the Three Legged Mule incident now, by order of Magistrate Borodin.

  • Marshal thanks the guard for the quick response that yes in fact the Oscuran Noble Vladimir Kursk is being held, by order of the Magistrate Vlana Borodin and is seen quickly leaving the guard at the gaol. He makes no attempts to enter the jail aside from speaking with the guard. He is seen leaving Peltarch via boat later that day, a broad smile on his face and now more easily approached and by the look in a much better mood…

  • It is made known that Vladimir Kursk is being held within the prison, visitors are being denied by order of Magistrate Vlana Borodin. Any who attempt to go in the prison to see him, or those who are involved in his possible crimes, are turned back immediately.

  • Not long after Mr. Locke's arrival in Peltarch, the man known as Marshal also appears in the city looking for the Oscuran Noble Vladimir Kursk. He does not seem in a good mood and people shy away from him, he is seen arriving at the Gaol and inquiring if Vladimir was one of the individuals arrested for questioning in relation to the brawl at the tavern.
