Public Notice Placed in the Crafting Hall by the Masters

  • ::chuckles and kicks up off the box, smirking::

I've heard quite the number of bard jabs and beliefs involved with dealing with them due to a few of them Sy'wyn. Same with your beliefs on the Phoenix due to how a few of them act. Don't try to play hollier than thou.

But yes. When we start talking about the "rightuflly elected senate by the people" its my time to depart. Please, all you norwickians and Jiyydians, please continue to tell Peltarch what is best for it. If the senate is stupid enough to believe you're idiotic claims I'll gladly sit back with a smirk and wait till I'm proven right like I usually am. So if people wish to throw thier arms open to the mob, so be it. It'll be fun to say I told you so.

  • @419cb25949=Rando:

    Looks over to Equinox

"Who did you ask for access to the halls in Norwick? You should have come and seen me and i would have given you a tour of the facilities. you must have asked the wrong person.

    Heh, he asked ME!

Right after he insulted all of us in the union, he asked if he could inspect our halls.

I told him that he should speak to Magistrate Barrim directly, and that if the Magistrate advised us to let him, as our competing buyer for the hall, to offer him a tour I would gladly oblige.

He then parted with some very unkind words towards me and the union.

    shrugs

  • ::looks at Dentin and shakes his head smiling::

Now Dentin want everyone be sensible.

::sighs and goes to talk to the Masters about renovations to the Hall::

  • Sighs, and rolls his eyes

Yes, Rando, because we surely didn't just spend half an hour finding new and creative ways of saying "One bad apple ruins the lot".

Then turns to Moe, and tilts his head

Interesting. Those people are in the circle now? I would think I would notice dead hins tied to trees, but if what you say is true, I should be seeking some of my brethren out and dealing with it. Because it does reflect on us, and always has.

But I certainly won't be sitting around and ignoring it. Which I suppose is the difference, aye?

Now…breaking norwick law? Couldn't care less if the circle has a reputation for that. Peltarch or Jiyyd, maybe. Peltarch and Jiyyd law have some basis in justice. But norwick? Sure. Reflect away.

Anyway, so who's doing all this hin killing? Names? Descriptions? Times?

  • Rando just smiles at Moe with a nod of approvement

" Or Oreth with all the 'good' people of the union i must be 'good' due to the company i keep within the Union. I feel so much better now that you explained it"

  • moe shrugs
I've watched circle memebrs tie hins to trees, and kill them with magic, I've watched cricle members enter Norwick, and threaten folks and thus breakinng the law, so using your way of thinking Oreth, all memebrs of the Circle must be murderers and thugs, or at least sympathisers of such people. After all the company you keep reflects on you, right Oreth?

  • Children, please. The senate will decide in due time on the ownership of the Crafting Hall. Kicking each other's shins until someone starts crying.. it is a disgrace. Prove yourself worthy of being considered sensible adults, and cease this pointless bickering. I am sure that you all have better things to do.

  • Oreth glances to Sy'wyn

Bards and druids. Interesting that you don't specify Circle members and College students, as that would actually be the analogy that would fit the situation.

And if you were? You should let it reflect on us. Keeps us honest, and gives us a reason to police ourselves.

But then, knowing the company you keep, it's quite possible you needed threatening.

    And then to Rando

You're really bad at talking. Also, thinking.

You don't need to break laws in town to be deemed amoral, worthless, vicious scum. We were discussing why people don't like or trust the Union, not assembling a court case against it. The law doesn't hide you from the ill-thought and scorn of the people, nor does it stop your bastardry….is "bastardry" a word? It should be.....nor does it stop your bastardry from reflecting on your entire organization. It is adorable to watch you flee behind its skirts every time you're questioned, though.

And we're already past the part of the conversation where Zyphlin explains that letting the Union buy the craft Hall was all part of his master plan to screw you all or whatever. Try to keep up.

  • Master Dwin, let Zyphlin talk, more Zyphlin talk worse Zyphlin look, it does Union no good to argue with Zyphlin. The Union is here with good intentions, leave it at that. Mog sorry that some people have problem with Union, but the Union not here to run people out of business. Union is just here to invest in what it knows best.

Mog sure the Senators know best, that is why them elected in first place.

  • chuckles

_"Name me a law i have broken in this fine city? Hell i used to serve this city as a officer in the defenders. People throw words around without facts.. it get tiring.

Most people here have personal grudges which clouds their true judgement. So some of you don't like me….. well i am hurt_ said with a smirk what the union is purposing is nothing to do with members personal ideas, but as a union as a whole, even within the union we are not all 'best' friends with each other winks at Arandor

_As for the other halls, they were brought off the towns themselves and no 'strong arm' tactics were used. the towns were more than happy with the amount of money they received in payment

As for you Zyphlin you were more than willing to 'take' a cut when we tried to buy them the last time. So your views have seemed to change now that you are not going to receive any money yourself.. Funny that.

Anyway its for the Senate to decide now and i am sure they will see this as a fair and honest deal._

    Looks over to Equinox

"Who did you ask for access to the halls in Norwick? You should have come and seen me and i would have given you a tour of the facilities. you must have asked the wrong person.

  • Sy'wyn wanders through Peltarch listening to the "speeches"

And yet, I have been threatened by bards and druids myself, and do not let it reflect on their groups. You all are missing the fact that the opinion box is gone. Let your Senate vote on the matter, they were elected by you to give your voice, listen to what they choose.

  • Your company reflects on you, whether you endorse them or not.

The fact that they are still your company is all the endorsement necessary. If you disapprove of such folk so strongly as you say, cast them out, or failing that, leave yourself.

Until you do, cease the lies that you are better than they.

  • Perhaps one or two of our members might do that, but the rest of us would not tolerate that behavior, also the ones who are more likely to behave in that manner are not likely to be using the Peltarch crafting hall anyway.

  • @e76fdd9496=metagod:

Zyphlin you know as well as I do that Harrassment, be it physical or verbal, is against the Law here.

    ::looks over to Cyrian::

Harrassment and threats are illegal in this city, doesn't mean that it wouldn't happen behind closed and watched doors of an organization with such lawfully upstanding people like Rando within it. Just becuase its against the law doesn't mean it can't go on and won't get covered up. You think if 10 union members are in a crafting hall and one pulls an independent to the side and quietly threatens them that they're going to turn coat on thier partner? Somehow I doubt it.

-edit- eep, just realized that was likely Cyrian and not Chaevre speaking.

  • Really? Amazing my friends told you something I hadn't thought of until I approached you. I really must figure out what friends I have that are so clairvoyant as to see that blissfully into the future. I'm sure they must also spew rainbows and candy when they relieve themselves with such wonderous powers.

Watch. I can be you too. I knew crystals would spout up out of the ground before the first one ever did. Oh, oh. And I knew had tea with Zargothis a good year before he came around and we chatted about Asmodeous…i just didn't watn to let people know. Plus you know those time of troubles...yeah, had that planned out wayyyy in advance.

And agreeing with the words yapping out from your pubic hair looking beard and what you actually intend to do are two seperate things. Until it is in righting in the contract that a dime won't be charged to any citizen of Peltarch ever to use the crafting facilities, be in the crafting facilities, or anything relating to the normal use of the halls, lest the union immedietly forfeit thier ownership to the building back to the city, you're not going to convince me that you're not going to go back on your flimsy, worthless, word the moment its most advantageous to you. Its not hard to say things you don't really mean Dwin.

I think the Dolvak's are stand up men that have never done a shady thing in thier whole lives.

See. I can do it too.

  • I'm the fool?

ya think we didnt know yer plans the whole time! yer so-called friends told us your plan to build a second hall before you even approached me the first time, laddy. Dont get too proud o yerself.

Did ya ever think ya were gonna get one copper from me?

Anyway, as we all agree, yer opinion means nothin here, except when you are agreein with us, of course. Your last statement:

    @7e0869da14=tiny:

The best thing for the citizens of Peltarch is for a full, and open, crafting hall to be within our city to promote trade and craftsman who are beholden to nothing but thier love of their hobby or livelihood.

..tis EXACTLY what we are promotin' here… I appreciate the support.

  • Zyphlin you know as well as I do that Harrassment, be it physical or verbal, is against the Law here.

  • Ah Dwin, my fine beard-headed friend, I didn't exactly expect you to understand that not everything is done for why it seems. Yes, I had begun to work with you on a wonderful plan to buy the crafting hall. It would've been wonderful if it had gone through, but sadly things blocked it up. The most beautiful part of the plan however was that you were to much of a dunce to see the reality of it. The money I was going to have you shill over to the city was going to be more than enough for the city to build its own second crafting hall that was even nicer than our current one, open to everyone once again, and all on the Union dime. I thought it was rather ingenous actually…let you all have your own place to lock up real tight and walk around smug going "hahaha, only we can use this becuase we're so great" while normal people could actually...you know...enjoy having a hobby perhaps or crafting without being in league with demogauges like Rando or swindler's like yourself.

All things havn't been settled Arandor. There is nothing I've heard or seen gaurunteeing that the crafting hall has to stay open and free to all Peltarch citizens or the Union will immedietly forfiet the premises. There is nothing i've seen that will guaruntee that the idiots and bullies within your organization won't stand in there and harass, insult, and threaten every non-union member that goes in. There is nothing I've seen that will gauruntee this won't cause an increase of the "pull off to the side and 'gently' persuade" tactic I've seen employed for years and years by different members still in your organization.

The best thing for the citizens of Peltarch is for a full, and open, crafting hall to be within our city to promote trade and craftsman who are beholden to nothing but thier love of their hobby or livelihood.

  • Oreth chimes in once more from his corner, between stitches

You know, you union types bring this sort of thing on yourselves, by refusing to clean house…..

You could have the purest intentions in the world, but because you continue to keep such....questionable company, you will always be doubted and mistrusted, and you have no one to blame but yourselves.

And before you condemn me for being "biased" against the union (and what is so wrong with a bias, if that bias is based on observation and experience, and restricted to the situation in which it was formed?), know this: So long as I have a place to work, I care not who claims ownership of it. I am merely making an observation.

  • During a brief visit to check up on the tanning station and supplies, Arandor comments on all the recent commotion.

"It seems to me that this protest is no longer concerned citizens speaking out in the best interest of the city… It is now purely slander by people who obviously have their own personal bias and agenda against the Union. It has been explained over and over just how and why this is going to be a good thing for all, yet people refuse to listen... Plans for expansions are being made, meaning more forges and supplies to work with, new dyes will be imported, a small fee implemented with the intention of basic upkeep... How is this a bad thing?

All the 'real' concerns have been addressed... The Union has no intention to close the hall off, that is simply bad for business. It will remain open to citizens and all willing to pay the small fee. This has even been written into the contract has it not?

Equinox... With all due respect. I know you are a good man, but you have been reclusive and unheard of for a long, long time. Your opinion of the Union is greatly dated at best, and it seems to me very poor form to jump into the middle of this debate because of a very old, and very obvious personal grudge.

Beyond that... The only other reason I can see for those against the Union, is you don't like Rando. Well, guess what... Neither do I. It may or may not suprise you to learn that Rando's word holds no more sway then Tala, Ginger, Khaya, or even myself...

You are not acting in the best interest of the city, lie to yourselves about that, not everyone else. It is quite obvious that certain individuals simply do not like the Union... And that is their reason for speaking out against this. Such opinions will never change, no matter the benefit and amount of good that it could, and will, bring.

I think that now, everyone should be quiet... Enough shite has been flung. Let this be resolved through the proper channels, as I doubt anyone has anything new to add."
