Jiyyd Rumors
-
Amith has been seen wandering through Jiyyd in all sorts of odd hours when she is not wandering the Pass or Orc plains searching for her husband and son. When asked she says they were due back from a trip a month ago.
-
Rumor has it that Penny, when not focused on the Eastlander war, can be seen wandering around aimlessly with a look on her face as though she were fighting some internal horror. Those who know her well might fear that she is destabilizing again. Rumor also has it that her erratic behavior seems to have begun sometime after her recent soulbonding.
-
As days go by, there appears to be a gradual shift in Meril's demeanor. He is often absent for far, far longer than is usual, returning exausted and spent. He appears to be searching for something or someone, with a look of concern bordering on, in his worse moments, desperation. When not absent in his searching, he is rumoured to have spent most of his time skirmishing in the frontlines of the Eastlander conflict.

After numerous days of being seen hauling ore, lumber, and meat into the Legion hall, Sy'wyn is seen stumbling through the gates, thin and pale after the push that got the Defenders into the pass. Limping his way by, quite a few would see small tears to the back of his cloak, and a number of char marks on his armor, and his face looking to have been burned. He was seen almost collapsing into the Legion hall, and has not been seen since.

Some crafters re-entered town with some common folks and their ox-lead caravan of goods. The carts were piled high with sacks of copper ore, and the oxen were clearly not happy with what they had assumed would be an easy day of carting home-goods to and fro Ormpur.
The Crafters, lead by one dashing dwarf in silver armor, seemed only mildly concerned with the fact that they were saving Grag's hide with almost 200 large rocks full of copper ore.
Once they unloaded their goods, they started discussing the scene in Ormpur, and the night they spent with the merchants held up in a barn. It seems that once again the inhabitants of Ormpur have disappeared, and left nothing to show for themselves but some still-warm puddles of blood.
While inside the barn throughout the night, they were surrounded and had to defend themselves against what sounded like a large pack of wolves. On several occassions the 'canines' broke through the walls, but they were held back. No one ever saw enough of one to identify them as worg, whitewolf, or even werewolves.
By the next morning, they were left in peace…all that remained was the bloodstained ground, several tufts of fur, and a barn that was barely standing.
Travellers heading east to Ormpur should do so with great care.

A bard was seen telling a tale of Chaevre the dark enchantress in Jiyyd today… whether or not this tale had any truth remains to be seen... but it was no doubt a good story.
-
A ghostly figure stood in the center of town and chatted with adventurers for awhile. He seemed to be very concerned about some evil brewing in Narfell.
-
The two farmers lean on shovels in an age old fashion and chat, watching the sun set.
"Ya know who I ain't seen hide nor hair of in a while."Says the older, nodding towards the sun as it dips to the horizon.
"Yup, seen his wife though."
"Comes in after sunset, don't she?"
"Ah think she's out listenen for him. Iffen he is in the naighborhood, you knew it come sun down"
"Or sunup. He was regular, weren't he?"
"Yup"

A woman of the planes is rumored to appear in Jiyyd. Dark, hairless wings arch from her back and she carries a whip and scimitar of flame. It is said she has appeared at least twice in town, both times she has harassed Evia the mercenary. The last time was near the Jiyyd fire, where she gave Evia an ominous warning that only a few days remained.

A somewhat odd bard has been seen in jiyyd a lot recently, calling himself "Vittorio"

*A large caravan of experianced and well known adventurers including Sy'wyn and Alvar Blackwood, Legioneers Lyte, Lilin and White Lotus, and valiant adventurers Pete, Cike, Hedia, Penny, Lilly and Star are seen dragging sacks and bundles of pine logs and copper ore, advancing through Jiyyd towards the Legion Hall, for some mysterious enterprise.
Rumors circulate of a gigantic copper sheathed pine throne that Major General Grag has ordered built.
Other's speculate it may be some sort of Legion Armory weapon project.
Still others suspect siege engines for an all out attack against the orcs.
Whatever the case, massive amounts of materials are gathered, and other expeditions seem to be mounting in pursuit of some secret scheme.

_The elf known as Syrano and the half orc known as Wog headed off to the swamp looking bored. An hour or so after they came running out of the swamp, Wog covered in alot of blood, some of it seeming troll and a large amount his own, Syrano seemed fairly unharmed. THey where being chased by a gigantic troll. They ran to the gaurds seeking aid in felling it. After a long long fight it finally felll. It seemed to be trying to get some fresh food. It seemed they ahd ran into a colany of trolls in the cave in the swamp. Having killed around 5 trolls they came across the cheiften and after a fight they had fled to Jiyyd.
Another elf, Nako, joined them in heading back in to the swamps to clear out the rest of the cave from trolls and to agther any bodys left there. Another hour or so later they returned. The two elfs seeming unscarthed again and the half orc/elf seeming to be bloodyed again, half of it his own, the rest being troll and maybe some of the small chunks from the disinbowled human body over his shoulder. As they left it seemed to be heard mutterings, mainly from wog about a ghoul also down there._
// TY Salsa! was really really fun

A red mage was seen attacking a bard around the fire in jiyyd. The guards stepped in and the mage promptly left.
the bard is fine, and fiesty as ever.
-
The statue of Meril Tolin took to Jiyyd was so extraordinarily lifelike that it's rumoured that Tolin may in fact be Narfell's premier sculptor.
-
Lyte of the Legion can be heard asking for volunteers to form "resource gathering parties" to acquire raw meat, copper ore and pine logs for some vast Legion enterprise.
She sends Legion members along with any volunteers who go to protect them from trouble, and hires some wagons, sledges, porters if they are needed.
She produces some seedlings to be planted for any trees that are felled, even if they are dead ones, and offers to pay any who replant the small trees a small stipend for thier kind efforts.
//a dm can feel free to remove a couple hundred coin from Lyte to simulate this, if they wish.

A Group of adventurer's gathered around the cook pot of Jiyyd could not help but suddenly get a chill down thier back and a few compelled by a dark feeling of fear and someting ominous watching over them run every which way they could to escape it.
Knowing full well the sensation Melanie Stern runs out of Jiyyd acompanied by many of those gathered, and screams of fear and shouts are heard to the west of Jiyyd.
The Black Dragon appears again.
The group Returned Battered and Brused but no deaths thankfully this time.
