  • ((11 am EDT would be a good start time for me on Sunday.))

  • Shesarai is back in town and should be able to make it Sunday. 1500 GMT is 1100 EDT for me. Because of summer choir schedule, I actually can make that if it starts that early. I should be good for the rest of the day too.

  • The goblin borderlands are a sea of enemies. The great tribe rose from their caves and quickly became the dominant force of the Rawlinwoods through sheer numbers. No force of the forest could slow their expansion and it seems to be reaching a critical mass. Perhaps something could have been done long ago to stop, or at least slow the savage army's growth. But now nothing short of a miracle can save the forests and town that now sit helplessly in the shadow of the looming tide of destruction.

  • María had been locked in her Tower for quite some days, only to get out to wipe the goblins and beetles that may had tried to assault her keep. Whatever she was doing in there, is a mistery to everyone. But now she's out and wiling to help the rest of adventurers in defeating the goblin and bug menace…

((stupid work has kept me away from this for too long!

  • One morning several days after the fall of the Silver Valley, General Theaon was seen speaking with the hin refugees. Soon after the demoralized hins were seen gathering what they could and heading north under the escort of the Troff Legion General and Adelie.

  • _A number of adventurers fought a seemingly endless onslaught of goblins and beetles in a last ditch effort to drive the hoards out of the Silver Valley, the numbers were overwhelmingly against them and they began to feel the weight of the foes as they closed in for the kills.

The battle went from a fight to save the hin folk to a fight for survival when suddenly huge clouds of red gasses erupted from deep within the ranks of the enemies all over the fields and above the cliffs. In an instant hundreds of the vermin fell over dead and the goblins grasped at their throats as blood spewed forth from their eyes, ears and noses as they fall over dead.
In a panic more and more goblins tried to push out of the gas before they too succumbed to the vapors and fell over dead.
As groups of reinforcements came to take their places more and more red clouds sprung forth ripping the life from anything that was unfortunate enough to be within the cloud of gas as well as any that dare attempt to enter it or flee through it.

The heroes now had the few remaining enemies trapped between themselves and a cloud of death, their spirits renewed they continued the fight until every last greenskin and bug lay dead.

After the battle as all fell silent a ghoulish looking woman with black eyes, garbed in pale white robes was seen walking among the mountains of corpses, a twisted grin on her face._

  • Not very far from the Silver Valley, an unusually furious forest witch spent a large part of the time fencing off large waves of goblins and bugs near the Misty Pond area mostly on her own, much as a territorial beast would do. Her shadowy figure crowned by two red glittering eyes of fury more to the likeness of a vengeful wraith than the amicable, beautiful half elf most people have known. Jab after jab she fought hand to hand using her spear until exhaustion. When eventually the party that was escaping from the Silver Valley found her, they joined forces to deliver a last strike in their retreat, removing another few dozen vermin and greenskins from the forest as they sought shelter within the walls of Norwick.

  • The huge goblin and bug assault on Silver Valley initially looked like it was headed to Norwick. A Norwick scout rushed to South Gate and proclaimed that an army of hundreds, even thousands, of goblins and bugs was headed that way. Defenders gathered at the gates, fire bolts were hastily supplied to the ballistas on the hilltops. A champion of Helm placed two small action figures just outside the gates, shouting that Benji and Ronan would protect us.

But as the defenders waited tensely, the huge army of goblins and bugs turned west to the Misty Pond, heading for Silver Valley instead. Ranger Rasuil shouted a warning and Legan, Nica, and Adelie ran to the west to aid the hin folk. Rasuil and Shesarai, who were manning the ballistas, took some time to put down their weapons and bolts and run to the west as well. Unfortunately, their path was blocked by several large beetles and they returned to South Gate.

As the booms from explosions and screams from the west increased, Elaine, Rasuil and Shesarai attempted to join them again. But even more beetles blocked the entrance to the woods and Shesarai turned back once more. Rasuil and Elaine managed to slip past and join the fight.

Finally the dwarf Legan, leading a number of hin refugees, escaped from the woods and berated the Norwick defenders. Several heroes ran from the gates into the woods, where the blocking beetles had now withdrawn. But a huge fight with dozens of beetles and many dozens of goblins eventually forced them back to Norwick's gates.

Beetles and bugs poured from the woods to assault the town. But the defenders, joined by some of the hin folk, were resolute and stood their ground. Ballistas shot fire bolts into their ranks and the tiny figures of Benji and Ronan gave the defenders courage. The assault was repulsed (though admittedly it was much smaller than the attack on Silver Valley).

The Norwick heroes then charged to the west to rescue what was left of Silver Valley. Led by the dwarf Legan, they rushed into battle and gradually cleared all the screaming bugs and goblins from the town. It was too late, however, to save the tiny settlement. But some solace was gained from this late foray. A small girl was rescued and Rasuil was seen riding on the back of a pig that he managed to liberate, steering it to safety back in Norwick, which opened its gates to all the hin survivors.

  • _Tragedy strikes the Silver Valley as the goblin horde and their vicious beetles descend upon the smallfolk in full force, in hundreds upon hundreds, slashing, tearing, rending. A series of thundering explosions echo all the way to Norwick as the suicide beetles reach their destination, detonating keg after keg. Screams of pain soon follow, audible even over the din of battle.

Rumour has it only three adventurers were quick enough to get through the mass of goblins swarming in the Misty Pond area to help with the first assault - a fearless dwarven Legionaire, a Peltarch Defender and an unarmed fighter in green.

The latter two made it into the Valley proper, faced with scenes of sheer carnage as panicking halflings and gnomes attempted to flee scorching fire, blades, arrows and tearing beetle jaws. Fighting desperately, the two long-legged women managed to clear the throng, joined at the last moment by well-known wily ranger Rasuil.

But the armies of the enemy seem all but endless. Goblins and beetles of all kinds kept coming, pouring out of the woods in wave after wave, screeching and howling. Only the arrival of more adventurers, finally managing to cut through to the isolated few in front, saw the tide of battle halted, if not turned, after hard and heavy fighting.

As bodies piled thick on the grasses near the Misty Pond, however, the invaders made their way back inside the Silver Valley, now bereft of anything near a defence. The persuing adventurers were met with gleeful taunts, though the greenskins inside may soon have regretted it as the dwarven Legionaire amongst them cursed and stormed inside, followed by the rest.

The all but suicidal charge saw the last few survivors rescued from the Valley, the refugees now huddled inside Norwick's walls while smoke rises from the distant Silver Valley, along with the victorious cheers and shouts of hundreds of goblin voices…_
