Jiyyd Rumors
-
_It seems that not only women have an effect on men, as one day, aging mage Attentus makes his way into town, accompanied by three young women. They cluster about the charismatic sorceror and the small group sets off for a quiet stroll into the muddy bog that Jiyyd calls a swamp. When they return in smaller groups, they bear ill news, though. Claiming that they were there to look for trolls, or at least kill the food supply of the trolls, they mention they found orcs hidden away in a cave in the swamp. As prove of this they bear barbed axes and awful looking leather armors that still stink of their previous owners.
One of the young women can be heard to comment:_
"Oh, Attentus was like so great! You see, there was this place in the cave where the orcs were like holding some dark ritual. Like praying to their evil gods or stuff and they had like piles of human skulls! That's sooo bad! Anyway, there were like really lots there, but Attentus just waved his hands and then they like all burned and screamed and it was like they were in the hell already where they should be like proper!"

Villagers outside the eastern walls of Jiyyd reported recent sitings of frost goblin scouts venturing close to town, and the farmers witnessed a group of mixed adventurers routing these goblins back towards old Ormpur's ruins.
Thereafter, apparently reinforced with some legion folk, the adventurers which included Norwickians and Silver Valley citizens, pushed forward, driving said frosty goblins back into the mountains whence they came.
On an unrelated note, townspeople about Jiyyd noted the charismatic woman General and councilperson of Jiyyd, Lyte, walking out of town westward in a very fancy, and revealing blue gown.
Those manfolk of the village who stared at her exit dropped their various
ale mugs and smoke-pipes at the rare sighting, only to be bludgeoned about their heads by their various wives and girlfriends with pots and butter churns to return their attentions where they ought to be.No serious injuries were reported.

The town is abuzz…demons attacked Jiyyd late one night; rumour says they followed Aramuil Holimion, Thorn, Lilia the Pixie and the man known as "Griff". Though others say they simply happened to show up at the time; the daemonic force was relatively small, however, and was easily defeated.

_A black faced-half orc in a cheap green cloak is wanted in connection with the murders of Farmer Biswan and another (as yet unidentified) local of Jiyyd.
A badly wounded halfer believed to be him was seen shortly after, wearing a stag helm, running into Norwick from the north._
-
During the latest evening of trouble with "The Night" the man rumored to be behind the attacks on Legionnaires, several of them were set upon, and then met up with by a local druid with red hair.
At some point, the western gate leading to Jiyyd was barred somehow, and despite two fireballs beign thrown at it, held fast.
That is, until that red haired druid fella called a tremendous bolt of lightning down on it, and blew it to pieces.
No word yet on whether the town will charge him for the expense….

Rumor has it Lieutenant General Theaon has suspended all routine Legion patrols, or at least nightly ones for the time being.
-
(( since the PCs aren't positng))
:: rumor has it over the last few days a Shadowy figure has killed over 30 Legionnaires, others say 50. All that truely is known is Legionnaires are getting nervous and the blood stains in the ground are getting bigger.::
-
Vroka can be heard muttering about the lack of her boarder "how difficult can it be to get some reeds?"
-
After a long quiet season of no interesting rumours, the Regal Whore is finally abuzz with talk of Rubo, Caric, Ah'Ria and Lowys discovering a den of undead and Cyricists in a cave close to Jiyyd. The adventuring quartet killed the threat and re-apportioned the spoils.
-
_After hearing about the drow, General Theaon can be seen ordering some Legion troops to stand guard near the swamp entrance over the next few days.
"Keep alert troops, these bastards tend to pop up just about anywhere."_
-
Rumors fly around Jyiid that several Drow warriors have been seen in the swamp. It was witnessed by a group of adventurers that wen to rescue a fallen adventurer, but not only they found the body of the fallen one but few hours later they also came across agroup of heavly armed Drow. before the obvious number inferiority, the group of brave men and woman had to retreat to jyiid and stood fast by the swamp entrance.

_As the darkness of the previous night begins to lift, a figure can be seen on the southern hill overlooking the town, with a loose shirt, simple cloth breeches and a hand and a half sword in her hand. As the morning moves on, the red headed woman continues her training regime with the large looking sword ; ducking, dodging and weaving an intricate dance of death against the imaginary training foes.
Only when the sun rises fully into the morning sky, does she stop and then subsequently retire to the campfire nearby to offer morning prayers.
Whatever the cause, the woman appears to be quite relaxed afterwards._
-
_Theaon can be seen speaking to a group of numerous watchmen
"Rando is not to be allowed within Jiyyd. You are all well aware of the reasons so there is no need to explain them again."_
-
After what happend in Rando trial, Major KULL was heard barking at his men to close the gate and open it after the traveler that wishes to enter identify him/her self. An increase of solders is seen behind all 3 gates in jyiid, two guards both sides of the gate

a week has passed since Major Kull was arrested under the acusation of insubordination. He steps out of the Legion dungen, heads to his room to grab his equipment, stop by the mess area, eats and drinks and steps out of the Legion front gate making his way out of jyiid and starts another patrol along the nars, like nothing happend

_Among the first to meet the real threat, back on that bad day, was a small group of Sails. Perhaps because they suspected a deception, perhaps because they aren't known to risk their necks in bad odds. Whatever the reasons, the four lend their arms to driving the kobolds all the way back to Ormpur and beyond.
Now, as things settle down, Pavel can be found showing any and all interested people how to use a staff with lethal intent. He makes no difference between ages, teaching young boys as willingly as old maids._

_In what spare time Celestria might have, she offers her aid in cleaning up rubble, preparing to rebuild, acting as watch, giving away food and offering words of encouragement as well as tending to any wounded who wish Torm's healings. She offers her help to General Grag and the Legion in whatever way they may need her while she is there.
When the opportunity arises, she spends time with the children ((provided there are any)) easing their fears, having story times, making games out of the clean up and speaking to them of Torm and how his followers slay evils that do things like this._

Dwin leaves word with Grag and the rest that whatever remains of his farm can be used as a headquarters of sorts, as long as it remains somewhat defended.
He also asks that people not tread to heavily on the floor planks near the center of his living room. Grag and the others of the Legion will no doubt remember what's under there…

Ivor can be seen entering the town one day, inspecting the damage, rubbing the stubble under his chin thoughtfully. He seems to observe the non-adventuring residents, noting their condition. Afterward, he is seen talking quietly with some of them, ocassionally handing a meat pie to some of the very destitute ones…

Once word of the attack reaches the camp, a tall blonde warrioress sets off towards Jiyyd with long, easy strides. Ragnhild soon arrives at the Guardian Sanctuary east of Jiyyd and frowns, inspecting the damage to buildings and lands. She kindly hands out her own coal-coated cooking to any farmers desperate enough to accept such offerings, and leaves word with the Legion that she will be staying at the sanctuary for the time being, aiding in the defense of the town.
