This little fellow the youngest in a large gnomish family and with nine siblings lived in an extremely crowded household. Right from the outset, he became the family clown, making the jokes and livening up the household. While one of his older brothers, Garl, was an excellent practical joker, he was slightly jealous of the attention that Dorlam constantly received for his clever and well timed jokes.

As the years progressed, Garl became more jealous of Dorlam, and his practical jokes began taking on a sinister twist where other gnomes began getting hurt. It was one of these practical jokes that caught and injured Dorlam quite badly. Dorlam was walking along one day, and the next he knows, and rope flies up from the floor between his legs and almost castrating him, it was this joke that gave Dorlam his high pitched voice. Needless to say, this caused him to get extremely angry, and this anger is still evident to this day, though carefully disguised, and it will take some prodding to bring it out, but ware to those who are bare the brunt of his anger.

After this accident, Dorlam became slightly more sullen and secretive, his jokes still the cause for many hours laughter, but became slightly sardonic in nature. It was around this time that he began to seek other forms of amusement. He began leaving his home at a night time, sneaking out and meeting up with secret cultists. None were to know of these meetings until it was far too late to stop him.

It was one of these meetings where Dorlam met a young hin priestess of Velsharoon. He took quite a liking to the young lass, and it was her that persuaded him to follow the lich god. While he has no intention of ever creating an undead army or anything of the like, he now has quite a morbid fascination with the undead.

Early on with the Hin lass, while he still blindly followed her, the undead army was of real interest to them both, it was not until one of her experiments summoned a giant burning skeleton upon them, ultimately causing the lass’ death, and nearly killing Dorlam in the process. It was this incident that shocked Dorlam to his core, and caused all his hair to fall out some days later.

His lack of hair has no become a source of pride to him, as if to say I survived That, I can survive anything. He now uses it as a point of conversation to get to know people, and get close to them. While he is still a nice fellow, he has some questionable morals. He has no qualms with stealing from the dead, for they have no use for them, but if he ever catches someone trying to steal from the living, he will go out of his way to kill the thief.

His foul temper comes out instantly around said thieves, but otherwise it will remain hidden away, so as not to disturb his fun loving nature. Whilst not the best looking of gnomes, he nevertheless has his eye firmly set upon any female of any race that walks on by, but especially the wee Hin lasses.

Since his family cast him out when they learnt of his meddling with the walking dead, he has been wandering for quite a while, moving from town to town, trying to fit in, trying to find somewhere or someone to settle down with. He has no aspirations to be a great hero, just a happy gnome, preferably rich, but most definitely alive.
