Proposal: Public Notice: Tomb of the Unknown Warrior
-
The Magistrate, some say after some considerable reflection since his time spent with Eowien Amasheren and Lady Magistrate Anna Sigerlson has come up with a suggestion passed by General Lavindo, General Dunderstone and Captain Anakore and Direct to the Senate for consideration.
:: In a rare but not uncompromising display of populist appeal, the Magistrate Barrim posts the following open letter in poster form around the city in a dozen places ::
People of Peltarch
I would like to propose a tomb to be erected perhaps close to the Peltarch Defenders HQ in a public area close to the Temple of Tyr for a fine creation of sombre stoneworking a tombstone to cover the remains of an intentionally unnamed Warrior of Peltarch to symbolise all those who are lost without a name being known in service of the Jewel that is Peltarch.
On the Tombstone i propose an inscription, one i have given much thought to the words… as follows.
Tomb of the Unknown Warrior
Beneath this stone lies the body of a Peltarch warrior
Unknown by name or rank
Brought from whence it fell to lay among
the most illustrious city of this land
Buried here on the anniversary of our victory over
the traitors of the civil war of Peltarch, and in commemoration
of the victory over the Eastlander threat.
Buried in the presence of the Honoured Senate, Magistrates
and armed forces of our land.
Thus are commemorated the many who give their lives
for their families and comrades homes and lives.
For the sacred cause of justice and order.

Having not yet received any formal offers of funding assistance for this tribute the Magsitrate Barrim goes to ask those he knows well in the Phoenix Guild to see if they would support such an endeavour.
He is heard to still be awaiting Senate approval on this proposal.

Elissa seeks out Barrim and compliments him on the fine idea and also asks if there is something needed to erect that monument. She also says that the church of Beshaba would be willing to support such a monument, financially as well as other ways.

Upon reading the poster Gorin, the Paladin of Silverbeard, nearly drops his pipe. Dis be un grand ting he states and whipes something from his left eye. He then again fine reads the poster to se if fundings are needed…

Upon reading the poster Mariston nods solemnly and looks very impressed and touched by the thought
