The Dread Pirate Dirago

As heard from a Bard in the Waterdeep Dock District
Sit right back, and I will spin you a tale… a tale of one, that while small in stature has truly accomplished big things. Naturally friends, I speak of the famed Gnomish-Pirate... Dirago Three-Beard; The Dread Pirate Dirago; Scourge of the Sword Coast. Truly friends, their is no port along the Sword Coast that he hasn't sacked; no damsels heart he hasn't swooned.
However, this dashing, bucanneer, rogue of a Gnome wasn't always a pirate. Nay, he stems from humble beginings indeed. Alas, his early years were rough. Sired in a Waterdeep alley, by a travelling Gnome Tinker named Bideroo, and mothered by a Gnomish dock-whore named Chloe, in what was less a night of passion, and more a business transaction. The cards were stacked against this one from the begining. It is with a heavy heart I tell you that young Dirago became nothing more than common dock-trash, falling in with the rougher crowds of the shipping district.
Reassures the "crowd" that things are going to pick up for "our hero".
Yes, it was here that Dirago, (while attempting to relieve a rather fat nobleman, of a very fat purse) was apprehended by the city guard. Tried almost immediately for his crimes, Dirago was pressed into "service" (23hr. days shackled to a sweep aboard the Sea Nymph) in the Waterhavian Merchant Militia. Luckily, for our hero, his captors hadn't encountered many Gnomes before him, let alone design a shackle to hold him. Early into his first "voyage" Dirago slipped from his shackles and "overpowered" the watch commander. Next, our hero deftly used his newly "acquired" keys to free the others in his section. From here they moved quickly to liberate the other "volunteers" on the Sea Nymph.
When the swath of mayhem and destruction cleared our "friend" Dirago was named the new Captain of the "Crimson Cutter" (previously the Sea Nymph). Dirago "the Democratic", benevolently gave any skeptics or naysayers a choice... join the crew... or swing from the yard-arms.
This brings us to where we first met, dear friends... The Dread Pirate Dirago... Scourge of the Sword Coast...
