Chaevre' Vaelen for Senate

  • It seems that Chaevre' Vaelen has decided to run for senate as she intended to after the civil war, she spends some of her time in the commerce district speaking with the merchants about their businesses and about how she became successful merchant herself, giving them pointers on ways to increase profit, other times she is in the docks district speaking to the laborers about their working conditions and about their ways of life, she empathises with them and tells them of how she was forced to beg for food and money for inn rest when she first came to Narfell, telling them that she understands that it is tough to have to work long hours for little pay, but that even a little effort put in and they can become anything they want, even the Keeper of a powerful organisation of arcanists to a senator, it just takes patience and effort, she then offers some strength and endurance spells to the workers to help them through the day, she is seen also in the pubs listening to the stories people have to say often she buys the odd fellow a drink and one time she even had a drinking competetion with one of the commoners, she lost naturally but a few words of a cantrip and she was back on her chair and laughing about the whole scene. She can be seen sometimes in the covik district speaking with the nobles, though she keeps her words few and infrequent to rather let the nobles talk about how great they are, she makes an effort to listen to them, nodding and smiling a lot, if the conversation starts to drag on she politely requests to dismiss herself saying she has much paperwork and business to attend at Spellweaver Keep.
When she is in the defenders HQ she stops to listen to the guards now and then, she chooses not to talk about guard duty or battles or anything related to work but does mention that she too served in the war to help liberate the commerce district, and to mention that she is also a guard for the city, though mostly she likes to talk to them about how they feel about the Defenders and the Guard and the work involved, she makes a point to ask how they feel about their health benefits and of the benefits for their families in the case of injury that may force them to be unable to work, she asks how they feel about possible expansions to the city or of research into new forms of defence, making notes about their comments and opinions.
A large poster is put outside the brewery advertising Chaevre's election campaign and that a special brew will be released promoting her campaign, Chaevre' also makes it known to anyone that they are free to approach her if they have any questions or concerns, she makes no promises except that if elected she will do her best to do as much as she is empowered to do for the city…

  • . . .Chaevre' is seen in Peltarch lately, she is hunched over using her staff for support , she goes to city hall and informs the first person she sees that looks reasonably competent to tell whoever is in charge that she is no longer running for senate, she turns in her citizen papers at the same time and leaves the city without another word not looking back. .

  • Rumors spread like wildfire through Peltarch that the Consortium has bought off a large number of the bulk food liscences and will be importing food at a significant price drop of at least 50% in cost, Chaevre' Vaelen can be heard commenting that when she says she will try to get something done that she means it, no red tape to go through just pure hard work, as much as anyone should expect, she estimates that the common people will begin to purchase food at the new lowered rate within the week! She then reminds them that when it is time to elect a new Senator that Chaevre' Vaelen should be the right choice, strong initiative for a better future!

  • Chaevre' has been very busy of late, she seems to be going from the docks to the brewery to city hall to the office of the Consortium, back to the docks, then to the library and repeating, anyone who asks why she is running all over peltarch is told that she is learning why the costs of food is so high, and that she is planning to counter a monopoly which is the cause of the food costs, she mentions anyone willing to try and help her financially can donate as much as they are able to the Consortium as it is obvious that what she does is a huge financial risk.
