Where are all the Oscura players?
-
Keira is a citizen, and is usually happy to escort people to the oathtaker.
After all, if you break the oath, she and they can always find you…
-
Yes, as he said, I play Senria Rydralon in game. I have been working for the past few hours, and the first level of the Crypt is almost done. There are some things I need to change and adjust, but does anyone know which script to use for accessing a conversation screen and running a conversation?

@31b9bd1230=Teringer:
PM Senria in game.
Apparently s/he plays Senria
-
What character do you play?
-
If the contest is still open I will take a shot at it. Also, I am trying to become an Oscura Citizen, and there is never anyone on that knows pcs who are citizens, and would be willing to RP with me into getting citizenship. PM Senria in game and let me know if you are an Oscrua Cit. who can help. Thanks.

There is crafting in Narfell. Its a great way to meet other pcs too.
As for the dificulty, yes it is hard to survive here. That is the main reason I stayed. For me, its a challenge. But to each his own. I hope you find happiness in an easier place.

Well I probably won't be playing on the server much anymore if at all. It was fun for a bit but it really iritates me to no end that I feel like I am getting no where or for that matter even to find any gold to actually buy some buffs so you can somewhat survive an attack.
I mean I don't mean to be rude or anything about it or complain about it that is not with what I am doing here I am stating that I am having more fun else where because I can actually do other activities like craft up things along with other fun things one can do to just pass some time.
-
Yeah, that was my plan, but alas, I received only one entry for the crypts…..I'll bump and see if anyone else wants to enter something.
-
It is and is not, much like the Gypsy Camp was. There is a portion of the city containing very little, as of yet, that is locked to those not blooded.
The majority of the city is open to all, though.
-
Wrongly or not i was under the impression that Oscura was locked if you did not have the rag to get in.
-
yeah no entries in Kuks dungeon contest, so if any of you people want to see something for Oscura your welcome to try and help out.
as for where am I, busy on the surface ruling the powerful mages guild, and gaining political recognition in peltarch

Aren't we just waiting for the graveyard and various other areas to be filled. I was under the impression that more dungeons were coming…
I think the dungeons have to be made first. The last dungeon contest had, I think, no entries.

Drelan Ashire can be seen around Oscura until he gets bored and wanders off. Wouldn't mind being pmed to see if he wanted to come to Oscura to increase the chance of running into each other for some rp. There are oscuran players but at least when I've been on they tend to wander away from Oscura because no one else around. Other Oscurans normally do log in but by that time the others that were there have wandered into some event or rp action elsewhere. But dont' give up. The things that happen in Oscura do tend to be fun =).

And while it's cool that there are some hunting grounds that are only accessible to citizens and those accompanied by them, grounds that anyone can access create a lot more incidental traffic, as people will wander over to check them out on their own, and run into an oscuran. The example of the gypsy camp with its spider woods (accessable to all) and cold caves (accessable only to Gali) comes to mind. The spider woods generated more random traffic, while the caves brought more pre-assembled adventuring groups through, and to really have a living settlement, you kindof need both.

even the hunting grounds that tend to draw people are before you get to the city gates so people just bypass it
There's an idea. Put some good whackin' BEHIND the city…
Jiyyd has wolves behind it.
Norwick has goblins behind it.
Peltarch has kobolds (and ogres and giants) and cats to either side, so you have to pass through.Passing through would generate some traffic.
That, and having all the basic necessities there. When you have to leave to get food and healers' kits and the like, it's kind of a pain to have to, again, walk all the way back.

You can PM me when you are in Oscura. I have been spending more time in there as of late, but I tend to play late at night (after midnight EST). Generally I can convince a couple people to come visit me there and we end up sitting around telling stories in the Wailing Banshee. For the most part you -have- to PM people to get them down there. Oscura is not a city that is on the way to anywhere; even the hunting grounds that tend to draw people are before you get to the city gates so people just bypass it.
And this message is for anybody, if I am not deep into some RP, I am more than happy to come to Oscura just to hang out.
-
Oh come come… Oscura's in the darkness... where people don't like to be seen... you're just not looking hard enough
-
Unlike most towns, Oscura rarely has 'sitters'. The Oscurans will likely be out on adventures or they'll be logged out. Your best bet is to make a list of the Oscuran characters and see if any are around in the player list.

Enzo is there somewhat frequently… he often meditates near the well or reads in the library. Whats you char name that you play there?
