Red-Haired Warrior

Character Name: Red-Haired Warrior
Login: v.BlackOnce upon a time there was a soul, a tormented soul and a shining example of goodness, too. But the soul had been trained by a fallen paladin, a paladin who had given in to his greatest weakness, his compassion. Thus the soul had no god to take it in, no one to protect it when it was finally lost to death, in a sacrifice to save its friends. Murdered and given to a foul, evil entity it seemed that there was only eternal suffering for this soul. But then the eyes of a goddess took note of this soul and she pitied it. With the wave of a hand she changed the fate of the soul, showed it a way back and offered it a new chance at a new life.
Whether this is more than a mere rumor, more than a fancy fantasy tale, one can only wonder. What is known for certain about this redhead is quickly told. She was found without any memory, wearing but rags shivering in a cold winter's night. Aside from a Z-shaped amulet there was no sign to whom or to where she belonged. Luckily for her, the peasants that found her, were kind people and they took her in as one of their own. For a couple years she stayed with Erik and Gudrun, who became her foster parents. Even though, she didn't seem to be able to talk properly in any language, she proved intelligent and quickly learnt to talk and even read and write. Pleased by the strength she displayed, her foster parents taught her the hard work of a peasant and a smith. They loved her as dearly as their own son, offering her a welcoming home. For lack of a name, they gave her the first name they could think of that started with Z, so they named her Zani.
If not for the nightmares that sometimes plagued her at night, Zani might have become a good wife and a wonderful smith. But one day, her foster parents deemed her old enough to know the truth, so they decided to tell her about how they found her with only the amulet. With a sigh they gave her the amulet and let her leave, thinking that her parents had been adventurers, knowing that eventually it would have come to this, hoping that one day Zani would find the answers she's looking for, and wishing that the past she'd likely find would let her return home. Having but this amulet and some coins Zani made her way to the region of Narfell, where she felt oddly in place. There she began her quest to find out about adventures and about her real family.
