Glances turned to Gazings

  • Syrano pushed himself from the frozen ground in the pass; the seering cold winds burned his face. He begin his trek toward the Old Gypsy Camp; Was he crazy? No, just curious as the talk of all this Demonic Magic swept Narfell.

His trek ended at the beginnings of the forest as he hopped up into a tree, climbing higher to get a view of the terrain. He sat wedged between two branches gazing at the now desolate forest he used to call home. Gnolls passes underneath as Syrano contemplated impaling them from above. He indeed was bold, but not stupid… deciding to keep his presence unknown. As he looked around, he saw nothing but lost hope. Even if one day the forest was reclaimed, he knew that it would be forever desecrated by the destruction from the Gnolls.

    He whispered to himself...

"I shall never call this home again..."

The winds intensified as he straddled the branch, almost knocking him off balance. He kept a firm grasp, but the harder he tried to stay stabilized, the harder the wind blew. The tree branch he was clinging made a slight cracking sounds, but just enough to gain the attention of the gnolls below. He quickly dropped from the branch, and slung himself to another using it as support. He ran far out onto a branch, jumping away tumbling to the ground with grace.

The Gnolls chased him briefly yet they were no match for Syrano's speed... he easily lost them running back across the Nar's Pass toward Jiyyd.

"Never again..." He said with impunity.... "Never again....."
