A dying elf stumbles through the gates...

  • A dark-featured elf stumbles through the gates. His tattered clothes are bloody and sooty. He is burned and bleeding from several wounds. Behind him, plumes of smoke rise from deep in the Rawlins. The elven trading camp burns. He speaks in choked voice to those that might listen:

"Fiends! Fiends flew from the sky! They overwhelmed us… no chance, we had no chance..."

"We saw lights and fire from the grove to the West, we heard noises. The dark one... he returns..."

The elf breathes his last, and his eyes close.

((this happens right after the fiend attack in the pass))

  • Tarin hears word of his sister being involved and leading the attack, he goes out to the charred ruins, to where the elven camp used to lay and helps burry what bones remain of his dead kin. With a look of absolute exhaustion on his face, a man torn by pain, having lost a lover, one sister possessed by a demon, and the other missing for quite some time, he is not sure what is left to do. He has failed to protect either of them, and all his vows lay in tatters. He howls to the sky, clinging to the only hope of a spirit that he had heard his sister was once in some way bound with. He yells in fury and emotion, and burries his face on the ground, kneeling and sobbing that so much pain was brought to his people by his own sister, and he was not even there to try to stop her. Anyone who sees him, notices he seems a man who looks as though he has lost everything, he appears thin, and far from regular overtiredness from his long days and nights searching for his sister to not find her in time.

  • Major Lyte Bry'Gaede, daughter of Ir'yn, the Quartermaster of Arms of the Elven Camp, which now lays in charred ruins, can be seen in the company of Sy'wyn and Nalio, traveling south and through the pitiful remains of the Camp in which she grew up.

They spend a day there, with the beautiful elf spending much of her time sitting in the nearby stream nude, apparently at prayer.

Seemingly deadly serious and calm afterwards in Norwick, she can be seen asking for every detail of the events that led to this carnage, and leaves southward with Nalio with sword drawn and shield at the ready.

  • A large party is seen passing through Norwick from the north not too long after the dying elf arrives, headed for the Elven outpost. After many hours, some return telling the tale of what they encountered in the camp. Arriving at the camp, the gate was destroyed and Elven bodies lay everywhere. The only survivors found were some women and children with the few Elven defenders assigned to them, hiding in a makeshift hollowed tree. After being found and healed by the two priests of Corellon in the party, they headed south from the camp towards safety. The entire party then went about burying the fallen Elves. Due to the large number of dead and the fear of the fallen being turned into undead, mass graves were used and the area was consecrated. Such news spreads like wildfire throughout all the towns, especially between Elves.
