Happening at the Jiyyd well

[Salsadoom]

Several weeks ago a score or two of dwarves
have been seen working about the Jiyyd well.
Quickly and skillfully they set up a pulley
system and begin descending into the well
with picks and shovels in one hand a mug of ale
in the other.

For the next several weeks large amounts of
earth and rock are being removed from the well
and large amounts of lumber and greater amounts
of ale are seen going into the well.

The removed rock and earth is used to strengthen
the Jiyydian walls.

Quite often a halforc Legion officer is seen
watching the work with a broad smile. All
questions are referred to the officer.

As abruptly as the work started it ends and a
group of Legionnaires is seen descending into the
well. The officer then turns and gathers up
what Legionnaires are about and heads out
of Jiyyd.
