Knight of Bane / Lealac Coldwrath

  • Entry 1

_Finally in Narfell. The journey has been long and dangerous. But I am sure it will become more dangerous here. I arrived at the big city called Peltarch. True, it's not much compared to Zhentil Keep's glory. But it's something atleast. I needed to gather some information, so I searched some jobs and spoke with my employers.

I also met rather blunt person, both by her personality and mind. This captain with an eyepatch covering his right eye, Deacon, has obviously had lousy history with banites. Some smooth talk, and he was dealt with. People should know better than oppose the emissary of Bane._

    Entry 2

Today I went to Oscura, to pay respect at the altar of Bane. After that, my way went down south, all the way to Jiyyd. The fight at the road near the town was intense, but after a while, Bane's superiority over hobgoblins was obvious. However, I got hit a numerous times. I need rest.

    Entry 3

_I woke up. Every place in my body was sore. Looking at my mirror was dreadful, the sight meeting my eyes almost like Talona herself. I needed fresh air to my bloodfilled lungs however, and went out.

A good coincidence.. I met a druid who offered me healing potions after I turned down his first healing offer. I think he, like most of the people, found it odd that I only accept healing from Bane.

He also complimented me of it, saying I am more devout than Zanetar. This Zanetar, I have heard, is some kind of a leader of banites. He is said to live in Peltarch.

With the help of the potions, I managed to move on. I walked to Oscura, to pray some. There I met some other banites as well. I can see why I was sent in Narfell. There is no discipline among the ranks of banites. Even my question for a rank and name of one of the males I saw remained unanswered. I swear, there will be order._

  • Entry 6

_Zanetar. That name always brings chaos to my mind. I was punished by him twice today, for pointing out errors in his action. Yet slightly after that, he showed me something truely grand. I know not what to think of him.

I also spent some time with an elf who is as strong as an orc. During the time I spent with her, I felt a new sensation in my mind. An empty space of green light in the corner of my eye. I touched it, and for the briefest of moments, I saw Bane himself. I then woke up to reality again, and found my wounds sealed. Most odd._

  • Somewhere east of Jiyyd, nestled into his bedroll in a dug out, nest-like structure, Oreth is kept from sleep for several hours, wondering if helping a dying banite survive her journey was as good a deed as he thought. He wonders if it would have been a better thing to simply let her die. Troubled, he sinks into slumber.

  • Entry 5

_Tormite here, tormite there. I so hate that faith. And they seem to hate me…

Shortly after I left my application to the Peltarch guards, I was stopped at the commons. I couldn't figure out what it was for, but they did ask everything of me. My name, where I had visited, my faith.. Other than the fact that I'm banite, they seemed to pay great attention to the fact that I had visited Norwick. It must be because of these crystals I saw there.

But the day wasn't all bad. I managed to buy enchanted banite leathers from this hin called Gonnar. He was surrounded by people that were acting like children, saying "If you sell them to her, you will be banite yourself". Like we had that low standards.

I was also appointed to new position in Oscura. I shall be taking care of the slave trade. Quite risky, I admit. But someone has to do the job, for the greater good of the church. Once I have proven Zanetar that it's not that risky, I'll let him handle it while I move on to more rewarding duties.

I have suggested some new ideas to Zanetar. Ideas, that I will not tell here, in fear of having the book get lost in some bards hands._

  • Entry 4

_The day has been very busy. I met a Loviatar following man in the morning. I am sure I will manage to convert him some day near. He is not only strong, but also well equipped.

After that, I spent time with Allannon. An orc called Grag beat us down near Peltarch, saying people from Jiyyd had been attacked by banites. That's when I recalled seeing some banite equipment in Perin's shop in Peltarch.

We managed to convince Perin to keep the armors for us. The we proceeded to walk out and get some goldd out of lizards. I don't remember much, other than having a bolt go through my heart.

I woke up in Oscura, near our temple. Lord Gedder was there, with some others. We discussed many a plans to come, and after Gedder had left, I started my preaching on Zanetar. I let him know most of his flaws.

He is a tough one. He is powerful, wise.. but he can not see what are the faults in himself._

  • Zanetar scoffed as she left the temple after talking with him.

    "Some young upstart…"

    But he admired her passion.
