'Pampering the Knife-Wielding Lizards'

  • Of late, the Rawlins have seen a marked decrease in saurial bodies, unconscious or dead, laying about in the clear. Those who bother to look for them may notice the unconscious saurial cubs, still bearing bruises from a club, concealed slightly just past the tree-line, covered in leaves and branches, their collars snapped off, and a knife tucked in each of their hands.

They seem to be grouped in clusters, possibly for the convenience of whoever dragged them there, and possibly so that they might better defend each other, and one saurial in each cluster has a small note, torn out of a book, written in several languages, sitting on its chest.

The note reads, in Common, Draconic, and Chultan:

_You are safer now than you were before, but you are still in danger. I have broken your collars, and attempted to conceal you from the eyes of your captors. Safety is near. The glenn of oak and earth will offer you sanctuary. Come to us in peace, and I will protect you.

    Oreth, Servant of Ubtao_

There is also a VERY crude map on each note…drawn perhaps in 20 seconds, at most.....illustrating the route from the position of any given cluster of unconscious saurials to the entrance of the glenn.

The druid is seen checking back on these clusters occasionally, to ensure that they have not been slaughtered in their sleep.
