    So you want to know about me? Not much to tell stranger, but I will tell you what I can. I was born to a farmer near the town of Jiyyd. My da' was a good fellow. Did everything he could to raise me even though my ma' never made it through the birthing. I think my da' wanted me to settle down and run the farm once I came of age… but that was never for me. My da' used to tell me stories of his old adventuring days, before he met my ma'. Those are the footsteps I wanted to follow. It took some convincing, and a lot of chores, but eventually my da' agreed to teach me how to use the shield and sword. Every morning, after I had finished the morning chores, and before I had to get started on the evening chores, he would spar with me, training me. So I've finally reached my coming of age, and here I am, sitting at this fire, warming my hands, hoping my da’ isn’t worrying too much, and talking to you... so what about you, what brought you into this cold corner of the world with naught but your arms and armor?
