Feste Be-Dictor

  • _The header of this small poster, hung in the Banite sanctuary in the Temple of Caverns and at the inn, reads "Festival of the Tyrant" in Infernal, pronounced Feste Be-Dictor.

The entirety of the poster is written in Infernal, and it conveys the following messages.

The location of this gathering is to be the temple at Oscura. All those faithful or prospective are welcomed to attend. The attendance of those adverse to the faith will invariably lead to their swift apprehension and subsequent use as bait in the calling forth of a great and terrible devil, so that not only will they die, but they will further contribute to the great "evil" in Narfell, so it would behoove them not to attend. The date of this gathering shall be Flamerule 3, 1468 DR at high noon. Extra-planars are welcome and encouraged to attend._

<ooc>The RL date/time for this gathering is TBA. If you think your character would like to attend and you don't have access to this forum, send me a PM.</ooc>

She continues to translate the poster for a few select others that enter the neutral alter to pray when they show a curiosity to its context. It might be noticed that while translating she stays rather nuetral, speaking not for or against the festival, but as if only there to educate those that can not read the infernal script.

  • The poster in the Banite sanctuary is reposted – someone there seems to think that the Banites ought to be able to plan their own services and ceremonies. The one in the tavern is not, however, but some of the fliers that exist in Peltarch and Norwick begin to circulate. A bit sloppy, they become; it would seem that some poor scribe's hand is getting tired.

  • Keira, who regularly prays at the 'neutral' altar of the temple, blinks at the notice with obvious lack of comprehension. She hopes that she'll notice someone she knows reading it so she can ask them what it says.

  • The Order Guards around the temple can be seen pulling down the posters and putting up a similiar one stating the same things except the comments of sacrificing of others is removed from it. If any ask them why the change was made they tell them they were ordered to change it by High Priest of Oscura, Corde
