The Ballad of Chapped Lips Calhoun
A country songIt was back in 1149, At the Arabel Golden Nugget Mine
That my great-grandma Dolores saved the day.
When she propped the shaft and saved the lives,
Of the other forty Arabel wives,
When all ma grandpa's buddies ran away. The menfolk found their women scary..'Cause they were so big and hairy..
They thought of powderkegs to seal them in.Gramps was known as 'Chapped Lips Calhoun',he was in the local saloon..
In came Billy-Joe Walton through the door.
He said "They're blown the Golden Nugget!"
My grandaddy said "Oh, darn it! You've buried my Dolores, my sweet little golden 'ore"(Spoken)
Now my grandaddy jumped up from his table.. finished his jug..
And he got up to that mine just as lickety-darn-split as he could,
Stopped off to fetch a shovel.. feed the dogs.. Brush his teeth.. Clean the John..
and give his horse one final rubdown.(Melody resumes)
Cause a rider's life ain't easy and a rider's life is hard.
You can take him from the saddle, but he'll be forever scarred.
Cos my grandpa was a man in love, called Dolores his 'prairie dove',
And he told her that he loved her with every sigh.
Cos she never once forgave him, even underneath the cave-in..
But he knew she would forgive him, in that goldmine in the sky

A kiss to build a dream on
A slow, somewhat older melody. Quiet and relaxed. The lyrics have been written smoothly, as if they have been copied from another book._Give me a kiss to build a dream on..
And my imagination, will thrive upon that kiss.
Sweetheart, I ask no more than this..
A Kiss to build a dream on.Give me a kiss before you leave me..
and my imagination…will feed my hungry heart.
Leave me one thing before we part..
A kiss to build a dream on.When I'm alone with my fancies.. I'll be with you.
Weaving romances.. making believe they're trueOh, give me your lips for just a moment..
And my imagination, will make that moment live.
Give me what you alone can give...
A kiss to build a dream on!_

Peltarch
A ballad_In the north of the Nar,
from Waterdeep quite far
lies the Jewel of the 'Lace
On a stone and lawful base. With the College and the bards
With the Mermaid to play cards
It is quite a busy town
Filled with heroes of reknown.Where just everything can be bought
Where great battles have been fought
Where the dock holds many a boat
Where the sailors find the GoatOften beset by men of evil mind
And on her lands time is not kind
But still Peltarch is standing proud
And so of her I now sing loud_

Highway to 'Fell II
_Nico Black, merchant man.
Eluriel is on the hunting trail.
Wizard Tolin, arcane beard!
With Mariston Thel you just can't fail.
Dancing Clandra, makes you purr.
Anakore is our knight in blue.
Mingal Kross, super priest..
These people 're gonna be there too…I'm on the highway to 'fell! (x4)
No goblins, no bandits..Nobody's gonna slow me down.
From the Nars pass, to Pel' city...Nobody's gonna turn me 'round.
Hey Sune, payin' my dues...Playing in a bardic troupe.
Hey ladies, look at me... I'm on my way to the promised land.I'm on the highway to 'fell! (x4)_

Lone Warrior
A marching song_In shadow of the ruins, of the tower on the hill
Stands a lone warrior, in the fresh morning snow.
The echoes of warcries, he can hear them still.
And he can see the enemy, marching below. He is now alone, the last of his side
The city had fallen, to the green tide
Soon they would find him, to finish the fight
The battle that did rage, troughout the nightThe red on his sword, is the trophy of war
A crimson reminder, of both side's paid cost
Into his great shield, stick arrows shot far.
And his eyes are heavy, with the friends that he lostHe is now alone, the last of his side
The city had fallen, to the green tide
Soon they would find him, to finish the fight
The battle that did rage, troughout the nightThe green tide did flow, across the green plain
The soldiers stood bravely, together shield to shield
They knew what was coming, was coming was pain
But they stood together, and they'd never yield. He is now alone, the last of his side
The city had fallen, to the green tide
Soon they would find him, to finish the fight
The battle that did rage, troughout the night_

Aelthas' Lullaby
For Lilin_The moon is rising above the sea,
and stars float high above.
I wonder what tomorrow will be,
what it will bring for my love.Over the mountain and the hill,
trough the plains and valley
Around the temple and the old mill,
together always we will be.So go to sleep now little boy,
lay down your head and dream.
Tomorrow will be filled with joy,
When you wake from sun's gleam. With the pass of every night,
we grow a little stronger.
And I do welcome that sight,
When we're together one day longer._

Another one casts a spell
_Evendur walks warily down the street, With the brim pulled way down low.
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet, His spells all ready to go.
Are you ready, Are you ready for this. Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
From his hands the magic flies, For with his foes to beatDum-Dum-Dum… Another one casts a spell
Dum-Dum-Dum... Another one casts a spell
And another bolt here, and another ray there. Another one casts a spell!
Hey, I'm gonna buff you too! Another one casts a spell! How do you think you're going to get along, When all your spells are gone!?
You cast every spell that you had, And now you're on own!
Are you happy, are you satisfied. How long can you stand the heat?!
You've nothing left but your staff, For with your foes to beat!Dum-Dum-Dum... Another one casts a spell
Dum-Dum-Dum... Another one casts a spell
And another bolt here, and another ray there. Another one casts a spell!
Hey, I'm gonna buff you too! Another one casts a spell!_

Leopard's Rake
A poem, written in blood._Pain. A gift of life.
Pain as the claw burrows itself into my flesh
rips and tears at my form
I lose part of myself. Again.Soft fur of the wild
Hypnotic gaze of golden eyes
Sleek and slender moving trough the night
Fang and Claw rush to meet me
Hunger for what I offer.
Hunger for what it only has to take.I feel. The heat of the moment.
From my chest, from the Claw
Up my back and neck, and I shiver
From shoulders to my arms, granting strength
Into my chest and into my heart,
as it screams with emotion
And I live. Happily. The dance with my guest
Who so willingly feasts upon offered flesh.
is one of life and death. Of blood and feast. And then it ends. And I stand alone.
My guest was weak and rude.
And so I took back my gift.I took too much again._

Minstrel Boy
A slow ballad_The Minstrel Boy, to the war has gone
In the ranks of death you'll find him.
His father's sword he hath girded on
and his wild harp slung behind him."Land of Song!" cried the warrior bard
"Tho' all the world betrays thee
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"The Minstrel fell! But the foeman's chain
could not bring that proud soul under.
The harp he lov'd ne'er spoke again
for he tore its chords asunder. And said "no chains shall sully thee
thou soul of love and brav'ry!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free
they shall never sound in slavery!"_

Beer Beer Beer
An upbeat drinking song_Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer
A long time ago way back in history, When all there was to drink, was nothing but cups of tea.
Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mopps, And he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops.Hey!
He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king. And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Gods Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beerThe Boarshead Inn, the Pissing Goat, the Regal Whore as well, One thing you can be sure of, it's Charlies' beer they sell.
So all ye lads and lasses at eleven o'clock ye stop. For five short seconds, remember Charlies Mopps. One,Two,Three,Four,Five…Hey!
He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king. And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Gods Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beerA barrel of malt, a bushel of hops, you stir it around with a stick. The kind of lubrication to make your engines tick.
forty pints of wallop a day will keep away the quacks. Its only eight gold hapenny, and one and six in tax. One, Two, Three, Four, Five...Hey!
He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king. And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Gods Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer. The Gods bless Charlie Mopps!_

Crimson
A poem, written for Shemaright_Blood in the snow,
defiling virginal white.
Blood on the blade,
the memory of flesh.
Blood is the hair,
flowing in the winds.
Blood is the life,
and death.The song of war
in my mind.
The grief of loss
in my heart.
The crimson call
in my soul.To herald the coming of death
at the end of cold steel
is to walk the path of lone
I wade trough tears
the river of sorrow. The fire of the day dims
leaving as all have done before
and all will do after
when death is all I bring
and pain is all I take
On the Crimson Path_

Autumn A poem
_Leaves fall
their dull green of life
turned full and warm in deathAs the sun sinks lower
As the days grow shorter
As the end draws closerI find beauty in the loss of
warmth, youth, joy
And the gain of
beauty, wisdom, ageAs the skies grows grey
As the days grow darkWe enjoy the fruits of harvest
And we feast on that which was once
young and alive. For tomorrow there will be death.
And the lands will grow cold.
The forests will be dark.
And all will be empty. But today I stand in awe
with the beauty of the coming end._

Auril's bliss
A slow melody with long pauses between verses_On his chest she lays her head
And makes of it her final bed
The flame is taking its last few breaths.
Together with them, bringing their deaths. In the streets they lie beside
The promise of life, oh how it lied.
Their ragged clothes are old and torn
Her child within will never be born.A tear is shed, it could have been
The hopes and dreams, now lost within.
They lie together in Auril's Bliss
And so he gives her one last kiss. And then the fire dies
And they close their eyes
No more life for his lass
As into darkness they will passIn morning they found two beside
That alone and poor have died
In the streets of the Old
They have fallen to the cold._

Of Narfell
Let me tell you of the land of Narfell. The end of the world, filled with danger and beauty, lone heroes, dark villains and yours truly somewhere in between. Central to the land, the winding Nars Pass, cold, windy and filled with people in silly-coloured outfits. Stretching from north to south, the Pass holds the main road of Narfell.First off all there's Norwick, the barbarian town. Trouble with the Yuanti there lately, aside from the regular attacks by undead coming from the crypts. Lots of snow, and the Rawlinswood just a few steps away. There's always something happening around Norwick.
Jiyyd used to no bigger than a hovel and two chickens, but now it's a busy town. Both the Legion, the self-proclaimed army of Narfell, and the Order of the Devine Shield, Paladins included, have their home here. Worgs to the east, orcs to the south and hobgoblins to the west.
There's always something happening around Jiyyd.Peltarch, the Jewel of the Icelace. Full of plotting, politics and bards. Anything can be bought here, if you know where to look. A busy city full of culture and history, the hub of the land.
There's always something happening around Peltarch.Oscura. For those who wish to avoid the light, or wish to be left alone. People with interesting histories live here, but you'll likely never know them.
There's always something happening around Oscura. The Gypsy Camp. In the middle of a forest canyon, with gnolls and huge spiders at the gates. Work during the day, pass out drunk by the fires at night. A simple people with a simple way of life, but one of relative freedom.
There's always something happening around the Gypsy Camp.Ormpur. Quiet.
Nothing ever happens around Ormpur.
Except for the werewolves, worgs and mysterious covens of lesbian elves, of course.
