A Meeting in the Commons

  • _The familiar face of the canteen swigging dwarf is seen in the Peltarch commons. His face a bit more relxed than usual, as if a troublesome burden seemingly lifted from his mind.

After a few hours spent conversing with the convened folk, he spots the face of his cousin. The two nod, the red haired dwarf responding in curt, short sentences. The usual pleasantries are exchanged, and quickly they move towards their shop in the commons.

Quietly and swiftly, the tension so thick in the air, the both seem to walk with a bit more resolve to get through it. They move into the backroom of the store. The door is locked, the shopkeeper Nor keeps guard, occasionally turning his head as he tries to overhear the words exchanged.

Hours pass. Finally an audible toast is heard, and the customary sound of breaking glass, as the now empty ale bottles are tossed into the fireplace.

One dwarf looks more serene, although pensive, as he stands in the now open doorway, as he watches his cousin walk out of the shop attaching what appears to be a guild key to his full keyring._
