Maya's words by the fire

  • Tempus have given Maya many dream and vision about dogmen. All have single word in them. Word is SHOOSUVA.

First Maya see lights from sky like star that fall. When star fall on the ground is hot. SHOOSUVA is here.

Then Maya see many people, include elf girl. They are sacrifice in evil ritual by men and dogmen. All people sacrifice disappear. SHOOSUVA here too.

Many dogmen fight Gali. Last dying breath is SHOOSUVA.

Then see large evil creature. Is great sound of thunder and much light. Word SHOOSUVA fill Maya, and is much fear.

Tempus tell Maya is angry with dogmen, so pledge axe to fight and kill before dogmen bring SHOOSUVA here. Is great evil, and must be stop.

  • _A golden armored bard with orange hair, easily recognised as ex-gali Nate, is seen sitting near and speaking with Maya at the fires. He comments calmly to a few gathered, though with a frown;

"Sounds to me like the gnolls are sacrificing themselves to fuel the energies for some sort of ritual involving the possible summoning of an unknown evil creature." He takes a breath."Whatever the heck this thing is, the word SHOOSUVA is greatly associated with it, possible even it's name.

Any rituals involving sacrifice of living creatures are always, always motivated by mal-intent. I have witnessed two similar happenings in my time north, both involving human sacrifice – One was attempted by a cult of now dead necromancers. The other by a mutant lizard-woman, who leads a band of miscrients and plagues the city. Both, however, we're stopped with the aid of the Cerulean Knights."

    Clearing his throat, he continues…

"My name is Nate, I've lived with you all long ago, for five winters. 'Once a gali, always a gali,' is what I was once told by two very dear friends of mine, both ex-elders. I stand before you not as a Peltarchian nor a Cerulean knight, but as an ex-gali. I will gladly lend my knowledge of lore and the arcane as a bard, not only to aid in keeping safety within the camp, but to repay the safety you all once provided me with in my youth."

He then settles down next to Maya. He is seen playing his pipes casually and vaguely, although with a perpetual and thoughtfull frown._

  • tala murmurs to arandor

I've asked greater minds then mine if they recognized the powder. Still no word on what it might be though. I will speak to Tero as soon as I hear something.

  • Tero stares at Maya gape mouthed for a bit before wrapping both arms around himself, seeming to shiver slightly

In the name of all the gods I pray that you are wrong, lady warrior. As far as the gems…we were able to slay another one of these teleporting attack parties of the gnolls, but we did not find any gems on them.

However, the apparent leader was searching for something when we cut him down and we found this orange gem dust slightly buried in the soil very near by, apparently the same as has been found by others.

Oh and before anyone thinks to try it, I would not attempt to go into those beams of light the gnolls appear and disappear from. I sent 5 men through and none of them have returned. I think death waits for any who try.

Tero stares at the fire, shivering slightly at times, shaking his head occasionally in silence.

  • ::Arandor listens closely as Maya speaks, raising a brow as she mentions the fallings stars, mouthing something silently to himself, and seems quite interested in that… He remains quiet until she finishes.::

"Arandor is my name… I thank you, Maya, for your help against the Gnolls and sharing your visions... Baba Katya has also spoken of gems falling from the sky... But I know nothing about them.

The people sacrificed were nowhere to be found... And there is something else out there, something large and evil like you say... Let us know if you find out more."

::He nods to her and settles back against a tree, peeling back some bandages on his left arm to apply some fresh herbs, before wrapping it up again::
