Gypsy Gossip

  • The Halfling Defence League

Fadia has been seen making more trips into the hidden pass of late, only not for her usual reasons of spider-extermination and helping Rary open cocoons. Instead, she seems to be searching for something….

  • Raryldor continues his work in the forest, slicing open cocoons containing dead humanoids and giving them proper burials, consecrating a good deal of ground in hidden "graveyards" throughout the hidden pass.

  • ::whispers around the camp can be heard of the elders gathering together for days to discuss the undead surrounding the camp. When the elders finally break, dark expressions can be seen on their faces. Katya was seen carrying 2 books and a scroll case. A look of concern hardly ever seen on Katya's face is described in rumors by all who saw her walking back to her cave::

  • _Klaz kicks a roll of turf, with hands in his pockets seeming annoyed and distraught with different assortments of problems. He mentions a ring quite a lot. The books, the note being translated. Also another private matter.

    Waiting, just waiting._

  • A small elf has been seen lingering around the fires more often, stealing glances to Katya's tree off and on. Wrapped in his cloak, the hood down as often as up now, he seems eager to hear some word as to the next action to take to make the camp safer…

  • _Nearly four months after their departure…. The five travellers, Arandor, Klaz, Yuna, Sy'wynn, and Fadien return to the camp safely. A little sore and weary from their experiences, but quite happy to be home nonetheless. They waste no time and head straight for Katya's tree to recount their journey.

Not long after they are seen exiting the tree, upon being asked what they have found out they say only one thing. That they are waiting on word from Katya, she will decide who needs to know what.

Arandor spends the next few days sharing drinks and stories with his friends and family. His young daughter Sarah'linae clings to him wherever he goes, as happy to see her father as he is to see her. He steals a moment whenever possible to go and speak with Katya in his own attempts to find out what he risked his life for. As the days go by he seems more and more frustrated, but brightens when he sees his daughter. He stacks blocks for her to knock down and laughs when she does, his mind relieved of the things that seem to stress him._

  • After Katya nursed Cotton back to health, all that week Cotton was seen talking with those close to her. They speak of this Arwen person and explain all that they saw and understood. Cotton at first seemed to not understand any of it, getting violently ill at the thought of another woman and running off into the camp to think and be alone.

Now, any time that Arwen/Yurana is brought up she instantly gets furious and will gladly explain that is she ever finds this blood sucking fark, she will kill her. If pressed for any information, she can only share what others have spoken, her memories seemingly washed of it all.

As of late Cotton has been spending most of her time with Ohtar'a, Tala and Kaona. Sitting around the camp's main fires and patrolling the spider forest.

  • Canceled.

  • A small elf in a tattered, oft mended cloak has been seen next to the watch fire to the entrance of the Gypsy Pass in deep prayer, his hood pulled low. Any who have stopped and greeted him have been greeted with a slight nod, but no words returned. A fully laden pack sits close to his side, green and bronze plate mail neatly stacked on top, and bow near to hand, sword sheathed across his knees. Though he has not moved from his position, all who have seen him get the feeling that he is ready to travel at a moments notice.

  • Those who sleep in the communal shack may have noticed that Oreth has stopped sleeping there. Oddly, he's started climbing onto the roof, and unrolling his bedroll there. If anyone doesn't know why, and bothers to ask, he usually just shrugs and mutters something about the stars.

  • Alvar reads the note and looks almost angry. He feels that his brother and sister are falling under the influence of outsiders who may not have the best interests of the family in mind. Annoyed he goes to see if they have left yet.

  • After gathering what supplies needed for the journey. Elrin spends the next few days at home with his family, Tala and young daughter Sarah'linae, as well as his best of friends Cotton and Kaona. He keeps a happy face, a jovial demeanor… cracking jokes as normal... But those closest to him see how pained he is to leave them all behind. He sleeps very little, wandering out of his tent in the middle of the night to sit and stare at the fire, smoking from a long-stemmed, wooden pipe...

  • Lugging around a large sack filled with camping supplies, Fadien is seen scurring around camp asking if anybody has seen her brother Alvar or any other members of the Blackwood family. Always reminding everyone she speaks to that she hasn't much time before her trip to find them. After having no luck she sets down writing two letters. Handing them to Tara, she asks her to give one to Alvar and the other one to Bow.

" <e>Tell them I love them and Sy and me come back as soon as we can."

Daria Arndon - A sweet little bard
    Nicahh -
Fadien Blackwood - Baby sister of the Blackwood Family</e>

  • With a skull under his arm, Klaz and others including Elrin, Yuna, Sy'wyn and Fadien have been seen gathering masses of food and equipment. Something about a trip to take place.

  • Yeveath was seen carried out from the forest by a recently arrived oath taker…his clothes torn in many places and with numerous bites dripping poison as he drew the attention of a group of spiders in order to make an escape route for the newcomer.
after crossing the gates he says "at ....least...you got...out...well" and faints.
after taking a good rest sets out to clear the area before the gates of the remaining spiders...and finds none there.

he mentions to Mallan " warn thegali that the spiders to the south have gotten much stronger...and are growing in numbers. I am rather worried, I notice the signs of an invasion from those vermin, we shall keep our eyes open"

  • Sy'wyn is seen stumbling back into camp from the woods, his tattered cloak pulled tight around him, with new holes torn in it. His feverish look matched the occasional shake and cough coming from him, and as he stumbles on to towards the gates, you hear him mumbling "e: spiders… have gotten... trickier....."

  • The spiders of the Hidden Pass must have found a better source of food. The latest brood seems particularly strong.

  • Mists and hazy formations have been seen to be gathering in a secluded corner of the encampment. During parts of the daytime while Klaz awaits word from Katya he is tries to capture images or sounds using pieces of particular decomposed parts as links. Goblins, spiders, a skulleton skull and rags covered in blood. He encircles the selected items carefully manipulating them.

Mostly failure finds him. But he seems intent for searching on.

  • _::rumors around camp have been heard that the one called goblin Icky Icky was struck down and his still alive unconcious body was carried down into the earth by what some have called a shade. A very powerful creature of undead nature::

::Undead are seen almost every night once the sun goes down and seem to sprout up out of the earth right beneath folks feet as they walk through the hidden pass::

::A ghostly image seems to appear though rarely and those who have seen this image have been scared to the point of running for thier lives back to the camp::

::goblins seen in the caverns below the hidden pass?? Cannot be true. Bad enough the dead are coming back to walk among the living::

::The King, when asked about the undead being seen in the woods, Says "yes I saw them but with all the ale I was drinking. They could have been just shadows in the dark playing tricks on me with the good spirits I was drinking".::_

  • _As daybreak approached, six warriors emerged from the Hidden Pass. There was fear in their eyes, that was certain, and before they could utter a word, there were already rumors of what they saw in the Hidden Pass. The most popular of the rumors speak of goblin-raised elf Goblingrin sinking deep within the earth, carried by the hideous dark ghost that had been plaguing the Hidden Pass and Cove the last few weeks with his undead army.

Moreso, many of the Romani are beginning to blame Goblingrin for the latest goblin infestation within the Hidden Pass, and since the goblins are thought to be in league with the undead, the search party for Goblingrin rarely functions._
