Gypsy Gossip

  • Rumors go around the camp quickly about the drow that has been spotted in the pass yet again. Some say that he has claimed the pass as his own personal forest and some say that he is just a figment of imaginations. Stories told to scare the camp children.

  • Those entering and leaving the camp late at night swear to hearing a soft and melancholy piping as they pass below the watch fire. Obviously lacking in practice and skill the soft notes still seem to bring tears to many eyes. Some swear to seeing a dark cloaked form huddled by the fire, though all who have gone to investigate closer have found no one.

  • The Halfling Defence League

Gears was seen stumbling out of the woods, covered in spider bites (as usual), and started muttering something about an encounter in the woods with a "winged man with a glowin' sword" to himself as he nursed his wounds.

  • Star is seen scampering around looking clean, pink and neat, smelling of roses. Currently the betting amongst the camp guards as to how long this lasts is running at between 20 minutes and 3 hours.

  • Tala speaks around the fire of some dark elf maybe a drow, a mass of spiders and a grey something that was HUGE!

"PETS what the heck does he mean by pets…." grumbles

  • Rumors spreads of a girl who was seen running through the area covered from head to toe in mud screaming "I'VE BEEN JYNXED!"

According to the rumors, she was wearing only rags and was covered so completely in mud that it was impossible to discern her facial features or hair color, or even her race, only that she was, in fact, female.

When asked what had happened she exclaims wildly:

"I've been JYNXED! I fell asleep with all my belongings. Gold, clothes, weapons, armor, everything! When I woke up I was miles from where I was camping. I awoke in a large puddle of mud. There was a man standing over me dressed in all black. I could barely see his face, but I think he had white hair."

"He said, 'FOR YOUR SINS YOU HAVE BEEN JYNXED!'. Then he disappeared into the darkness."

When asked which way and where, she she vaguely points off into the distance and then runs away. She hasn't been seen since.

  • _Another ghost was seem walking through the camp. It was followed into the forest by a female knight in blue armor, a woman in dark mail with the look and odor of death about her, and a robed Gold Elven female.

Shortly afterwards the woods were rocked by tremors, and keening howls and flashes of energy could be sighted inside.

The three reemerged from the wood, and shotly after an enormous being of undeath approached the gate. The dark-mailed woman confronted it, and the two exchanged words. It then vanished into the wood, apparently repulsed by some unseen force, or perhaps persuaded to depart.

The three limped back into the camp, badly wounded. They rested a time and then set off to the east.

It is unclear who they were. They do not appear to be Gali, but someone claims to have seen them with Elder Arandor in the Inner Camp._

  • _Rumours circulate that a rather striking and dashing gambler has taken the Oath to join the Gypsy Camp.

Other rumours seem to say that an annoying, talkative man who is always shuffling cards is being seen around the camp way too often.

The gambling Oath-Taker also speaks of starting up some sort of Gypsy Game Night, for fun and possibly profit._

  • Olivia has been seen less than usual and keeps to herself and her business even more than before… the only time outsiders can get a glimpse of her is when she buys a combat dummy from Dart and takes it out to practice with her sword ..... also, she seems less confident than ever

  • A not so heated argument broke out by the fires between the two Gali, Rolan and Oreth. Apparently Rolan has gotten quite tired of people preaching to him about his faith and so him and Oreth went to settle their differences outside the camp

Several words were passed between the two, most notably Rolan telling Oreth he shall not abandon his faith and telling Oreth if he wishes to strike him down then to do it now. Oreth was heard saying that he doesn't believe him and shall not fight him until he has proven to him that he truly follows the Black Hand. The matter seems to have been settled for the time being.

After returning to the fires Rolan was seen drinking an abundance of wine and drunkingly walked off into the woods to be by himself glaring at Oreth

  • Devath has been seen taking his belongings and leaving the camp, and hasn't been seen since. To any who made the effort to talk to him, he said that he wants to stay in the Heyokarr camp for a while, until he sorts out a few things. He doesn't know if he'll return to the gypsy camp any time soon, and wishes the Rom and Gali the best of luck.

  • Rumours fly that Oreth, Sy'wyn, and the Gaje Elf Eluriel have been ranging far and wide trying to buy a cow. The reasons why seem to have something to do with dragon feces. The Rom are as confused as you are.

  • _- Hey, you know what I saw last night?

    • What?
    • That tribal guy, Dev, dancing and chanting around a fire, just outside the camp. He wasn't wearin' too much, and he was covered in red and blue tattoos.
    • What do you think that was all about?
    • I don't know. Must be some kind of ritual or something. I watched him for a while and then left. He didn't come back until morning, when I found him sleeping it off by the camp fires.
    • Strange.. I'll keep an eye on him.
    • Yeah, let's just hope he's not preparing to hunt Rom or something._

  • The Halfling Defence League

::shortly after arthro's leaving the camp, many gali and romani alike noticed fadia, sickened and pale, leaving the camp with Sy'wyn. She returned alone, a few hours later, bloodied, haggard, and quite obviously furious, rambling something about a bear, and malarites::

  • Undead have been spotted in the woods again, and the rumors fly that a large colossal mass of undead flesh appeared shortly after an Elder of the camp showed up at the gates of the spider woods. The mass gave forth a message that it spoke for the high priest Rela, and was seeking his soul, currently in possesion of a demon. The sun rose before more could be said. The Gali were told once again to not forget… the curse is not yet broken.

  • :: it is rumored that two women Gali and a man were seen preparing for a long journey, speaking of going to some far away desert one of the women seemed adiment about going home to free those that she had left behind. It is also rumored that the women left a map to where it is that she is going, and a stone that if it stops glowing will signify that she has died ::

  • Word gets around about some Pelatrch Magistrate that was looking for Dev ((Nars Trader))… and was quite rude about it too. Some twiggy looking blond fellah with a loud mouth on him.

  • Sy'wyn can be seen seeking counsel from Tara, Katya and the King. He is holding a sheaf of papers which he ruffles through as he passes to and from each. Anyone with sharp eyes would notice that three seem to be Peltarch issued arrest warrants, one seems to be someone's oath papers that Sy'wyn has pulled, and the remainder is a long report written in Sy'wyn's own carefully penned hand. He is often heard mumbling something about a "thieves haven" and at one point stops to pen something else onto his report.

//I am on quite often.. catch me IG when you have time and i will happily sit in on an Elders meeting, or else a PM will do fine//

  • Bow can be seen around the fire rambling on about a similar winged wench explained by Elrin. Word has it that the lady peed on a few of the camp memebrs out in the woods, then flew away with an evil cackle. Some also hear about a meeting with a tree lady who appeared after a short battle with some spider-like creatures. Bow also says that the tree lady seemed pretty desperate, and Bow explains that he thinks the driders are moving closer into town, endangering the inhabitants.

  • Since Kaona left Anakore he has not been seen as often in the Camp as before, anymore, yet he still is a common sight at the fires during his off hours from his job in the city. When he show's up, he seems joyous, eager to share a tale or even a song with the locals. It seems life is treating him well.
