Notable Citizens of Peltarch
-
Talgrath
This massive warrior entered Peltarch almost two decades ago. Since then he has joined the Defenders and risen to the rank of captain. Though some people affectionately (or tauntingly) call him "grumpy" others simply call him stoic or a jackass. Talgrath is respected, if not without reservations, by his fellow Defenders and is a known veteran of many battles; including the recent Peltarch Civil War. Talgrath is beginning to get on in age, he is in his thirties and his face is beginning to show it, his hair is now peppered with gray hairs and his muscles, according to some, are beginning to atrophy. He has gained in wisdom and social skills however, and that is probably part of why he was given the position of captain; aside from his demonstrations of physical (and occasional mental) prowess.
Talgrath is an almost fanatical follower of Tyr, though he has no official rank within the church nor is he granted (as far as people know) any powers by Tyr.
Talgrath likes to keep his family life out of the spotlight. He has two children, a daughter named Abiie (though rumours speak of her being his stepdaughter) who has been absent from Peltarch for some time, a son named Lucian who is a priest of Tyr and a wife named Merydian. During the wedding ceremony, supposedly many infamouse notables showed up, including Atol, the Dark Enchantress, and a lich as well; though this might be because other notable heroes showed up, such as Kanen Hightower and Mariston Thel. Talgrath's ex-wife, Doran, was rumoured to be an Eastlander; and according to some they parted on bad terms.

The Fool
Crazy little gnome. Everyone knows his face, and no one knows his name. Children try to get closer to see what he will do next, and parents try to pull them away, afraid of what he will do next. Even more afraid that their children will start singing the badger song, and they will never get it out of their heads.

Gildor
_A simple bar wench and manager of the Lucky Ferret, she has a half-elf son and lives in a two floor house close to the jail house
There isn't much to say about her, she has been around Peltarch for years, but has never really been known for anything exceptional or spectacular.
Some says she is a bit insane, that once she was to be married to some lord, that she messed around with some forces a bit too great for herself, but if there is truth to these stories or they are just drunken tales is irrelevant, she is mostly retired now.
Gildor is friendly to those she meet and is only really seen cleaning the tables at the tavern, or buying the shopping down in the market, else then that, she keeps herself away._

Zyphlin Re'cual
The blue bard has become a mainstay of Peltarch over the past decade. Originally arriving supposidly from Waterdeep, he came to Peltarch first as the Ambassador to the city from Norwick. Soon after he rose through the political ranks, becoming advisor to the late Senator Ayanie and attaining the position of Junior Magistrate along side Aspera Chillwind for near a decade. He was a stones throw away from a senatorial seat when he abruptly vanished, naming a possible successor for his seat as Magistrate and being unseen for nearly a year within the city.
Since his return he has regain his seat, becoming Co-Magistrate with Barrim, as well as becoming the Headmaster of the famous Peltarchan Bardic College and can usually be seen looking for new bards and giving a friendly tip to performers.
A perrenial hit with the ladies…though as of late this has died down with the threats of fireballs looming from his fiance, founder of and former Knight of the Cerulean Star Skyla Vea'draeven...he is generally well liked by the populace, if seen a bit as more of a loveable figure then an actual respectable one. He is generally found in his glowing blue tunic, looking barely over the age of 20 still after all this time, and in good spirits as he talks with those that come through the commons, noble or commoner.

Chaevre' Vaelen
A merchant from the southern town of Norwick, she came to live among the city dwellers in search of greater business, also to take her position as a Knight of the Cerulean stars.
In the eyes of many she is all but a business women that will do what it takes to turn a profit, although she has many allies and partners she is mistrusted and even loathed by just as many.
Ill rumors take off throughout narfell concerning her methods of business saying she consorts and does business with the very enemies she fights as a Cerulean Knight, wether these rumors are true or not very few know, most of those who are aware of her dark secrets choose not to let it out into the light for reasons that are their own, one thing is for certain she will go the extra mile to further her business, and to go even further to establish herself as a figure to be feared and loved.

Sir Nathen Wingates of the Cerulean Knights
_His usual modest, polite and reserved smile seems to please the eye for one reason or another. He has a calm demeanor. His eyes hide a mental discipline and will to fight for what he believes in without regret or hesitation. This bard isn't older than his early twenties. His hair is a light orange, some claim it pink. His body, although not intimidating, is very well toned and muscled. There is a certain grace, almost un-noticible unless he is in a sparring match against one of his friends or moving around in combat. Most would remember him for his play, "The Legacy of Rath Ashald," in which he wrote and performed in. Others would remember him for the many arcane duels he's faught over his two years of service and citizenship of Peltarch._

_Deacon Sterr
What is left to tell about this loud, rough, and seemingly careless individual? He is reputed to have his hand in many illegal dealings, but has never been convicted for anything serious yet.
He clearly has a uneducated past, and even if he is raised, it was done poorly. His gold is his foremost love, followed closely by his love for women, of all sorts.
By most considered a pirate, or even crime king, few actually will dare say so in his presence, as he is known as being violent if he has a bad day, especially when one is a direct threat to him, his crew or his many businesses.
Deacon Sterr, Misunderstood sailor, or crime king?.._

Lady Aspera Chillwind
_A longterm, if somewhat shadowy resident of the region, rumoured to have first arrived in Narfell in the south, in the barbarian town of Norwick.
Notable in her position as Magistrate, first junior, and advancing to the senior position thereafter, her rulings were often considered harsh, even malicious in some circumstances, laying fown the letter of the law with the aid of a whip, a sword, or prison if necessary. Notworthy was the public flogging of the notable Half Orc Sam of Sam's Hill fame.
Of her past, little is said, but those leaned in the lore of the land, or who lived through it, will remember suspicious tales of the bloody death of a young paladin, but the name of Diams, and even accusations of poisoning in the far south. Public relations between many of the venerable figures of the land seem equally cool. The holy warrior, Kanen Hightower, is said once to have killed her, only to have her reappear in flesh once again, and the bard Meril is even whispered to have shared the pleasures of the darkly beautiful aristocrat.
Yet that all said, Aspera remains a formidable, noble presence, her manner waspish, but her mind focussed up the value of authority and discipline. When confronted with the lawful exterior, it may become easy to forget the whispers of dealings with Ashan Nottiams, a priest of Bane known for numerous rampages about the south. It may be easy to dismiss the strikingly beautiful, but strikingly sharp woman as just another bitter noble, intent on making the lives of her supposed lessers more uncomfortable.
But whatever she truly is, one thing is certain, the dark lady of ice and magic is not one to be trifled with idly. Bandy bitter words with the pale beauty if you will, but she is not without power, and not without malice._
