Nathen and Kenton Blake are from the Thay area, though they lived two hundred hectares West of Thay. Their homeland's only way of making gold was to sell the loot from monsters to secret organizations in Thay.
This, of course, was a dangerous job. If the people of Thay caught you, you were killed or kept prisoner and slave. These two brothers used each others advantages to sneak by the guards and sell their loot, then run home.
The two brothers travelled to Narfell, ending up in Jiyyd, where Kenton Blake found his first love, Far Nilo. As for his brother Nathen, he still hasn't found his love, for he's currently trying to get into the Spellweaver Academy.
His brother Kenton is also trying to, but to join their guard, the Spellweaver Academy Guard. They both currently live in Jiyyd, though they may move elsewhere once they get the gold.
