Jing Oro

To first put things into perspective, Jing never knew his family. His name, "Jing Oro," is a thing of his imagination. And a Hin without family isn't much of a Hin. His parents had been butchered by followers of Cyric before he was even two years in age. Punk bandits instigating fear, to be only slightly more accurate. His parents and he had been on their way back to Lurien when it happened, and he had been tossed aside. Halfling luck, or something of the sort, that they hadn't bothered to stick a knife through his throat. More luck that within a tenday a wandering priest of Lathander found him. Of course, the final luck was that he didn't end up in priesthood to that same God.
The man continued on his journey away from Lurien, not bothering to try to find relatives of the child (something that wouldn't have been a hard feat.) One long month later, the "companions" came across a Monastery of the Soul Sun. They offered to take the boy in, and the Lathanderite complied after some time of thought and prayer. The man went on his way, jing fell with a touch of fate into a more proper setting, and all was right. Uneventful would be the proper word for Jing's training. He didn't love the mostly Human gathering, but he respected their teachings as theirs. Listened idly, and learned his one favored part. The martial arts, kama in particular, struck his young fancy. He studied them far more than the teachings, wanting to decide his life for himself and not wanting to be tied down as a Monk, especially not a Monk in service to some Goddess he hardly knew.
With this general course of thinking, he grew more proficient and more rebellious. The monk's philosophies had no touch on his energetic and free-spirited ways, and he slowly felt less and less wanting towards being tied down by them. All forms of teachings unfinished, he fled the monastery at 18. He had finally decided that from then on his teachings would better be done by himself, where he chose. He thanked the monks mentally and went running down the path Eastward and Northward, full enough of energy to run many miles. And run he did, training every day with kama in each hand, stopping to rest for only the bare minimum of times. His explorations took him through forests and valleys, and finally to the lands of Narfell. Hearing of their Hin community, his only apprehension is how different he might be from them. It seems he has finally found a place to stop his travelling, at least for a moment.
