Posted around the city, seemingly in borad Daylight

  • _I hate to think you’d think I’d think of fading back into the dark
With thought and wit and piercing vision I form a mental lightning spark

And for my next trick I will make
    Probably another mistake
Another risk I have to take
I’m nothing if not a daring rake.

And so, you ask, at least I hope, who will fall beneath my rapier wit
What travesty of civic duty, or citizen will the next rhyme hit.

I’m afraid I’m going to be very boring,
And probably set send each of you snoring.
And rather than give another person a goring.
I’m going to praise the city I’m adoring.

Jewel and gem and frost-rimed crowning glory of the Icelace.
Every citizen, home and building, everything is in it’s place.

And so to each of you inside
I say lift you heads, with thankful pride
Show civil war did not divide
That over hardship we can ride.

Destroyed, captured, recaptured, rebuilt this shining emblem of our hope.
Let’s lift our heads, our hands, our hearts, and fulfil it’s destiny, broaden it’s scope.

And so for now I end this rhyme.
No doubt to return another time.
    Consider this a filler line.
