Ameng Yanlen, A Brief History

Our story begins shortly after Ameng Yanlen was born…
As her father, Ashilon, looked at his only child, he sighed sadly, for he wanted a son. His disappointment soon turned to acceptance as she showed signs of being a ranger. He took her under his wing and trained her for many years.
When the time came for her trial, Ashilon presented her with pride. Ameng did quite well in, although she felt she could do better. She happily served as a ranger of her tribe for many years until her father was killed in a peace treaty talk with a neighboring clan. She then set out to find her fathers murderer.
The search lasted 53 years 8 months 3 days. She found him at an inn in Waterdeep. When she approached him, he denied ever being near the Tethir Forest.
Ameng crept into his room during the night, and began to “question” him about her father. After several days of “questioning”, Rinhom’s heart stopped. The in keeper found the body the next day, and offered a reward for the one that killed his brother.
Ameng discovered that she had killed the wrong man, and that the one she was looking for had died years ago. Feeling little guilt, and more contentment, for what she had done, she went into hiding, changed her name, and, with the help of a mage, her appearance.
She does not like to talk about her past or herself, and gets nervous when asked to.
She is trying to make up for what she has done, but feels like it’s not working. Her last endeavor leads her to Narfell to help free Peltarch from the raiders. Unfortunately she arrived too late.
