Jiyyd Rumors

  • Rumors are heard throughout Jiyyd that the former Banite was killed by a Dire-Bear while out on a patrol in the Mintas Forest, His patrol mates returned to jiyyd shortly after and brought him to Vroka in an effort to raise him from death, however it seemed his Soul unable or unwilling to return to the material Plane, perhaps maybe Draihken found a place were he could finally rest peacefully or perhaps something more foul has transpired

  • Council of Moradin

    Rumors spread that a dwarf has returned from a long time at war. The priests in the dwarven temple are all excited and the word Kaxanar is heard now and then. The women of jiyyd start talking about this dwarf and a secret relationship with a elfprist long ago.

  • _There have been complaints of robberies throughout the long road and in Jiyyd itself. Travelers relate that a man wearing the blackest of robes used deception, trickery, or just threats to rob his victims.

    There is one report that a man was robbed in the bat cave and the guards searched for the criminal, but couldnt come up with anything accept a vague description: He wears black robes and is human. His other physical features were not seen._

  • It seems that some dwarves have finished a project of sorts and a cunningly named floaty suit of armour was seen being taken on a field test. Some say its a great weapon, others believe it an automatic ale dispenser..who knows…well the dwarves of course.

  • There's a huge tale being retold quite often and full of enthusiasmn. It involves a huge and epic battle between Nicahh and a terribly old and evil entity that was in the process of taking over Norwick. It seems Nicahh had acquired various tools from her (male?) friends that allowed her to ward against all the foul attacks from the monster and defeat it in a battle that is rumored to have lasted three full days and nights. There's even the occasional mention of a halfling master thief who might have taken all the loot and escaped with it, or who might have supplied the essential weapon by stealing it right from under the eye-monster.

  • Lilly is seen once again walking around with her daughter, Serenity, in tow. Where the little girl has been these months few know, but Lilly has never seemed happier and the tension seems to have eased in her.

  • Draihken has been patrolling the Nars as of late aiding and escorting adventurers protecting them from any Hob-goblin ambushes

    Draihken has also left word at the Regal Whore Inn that he is looking for anyone capable of forging weapons and armor and asks the barkeep to send any interested crafters to the Temple of Helm to talk about some items

  • Some people claim that a hin was seen riding through town on an umber hulk. He seemed to be used to riding by his relaxed manner as he glances around to the people in town. It is not known why he was riding, some think they have heard him talk about riding before and assume he was just bored. But no one seems to know for sure.

  • It is rumored that the Talosian that had been tormenting the local farmers and citizens of Jiyyd has fallen. Many locals seems to be praising some members of the Sisterhood for their efforts in defeating the man. Gifts of flowers, food, toys and wooden trinkets are seen laid outside the doors of the Sisterhood. Nicahh seems slightly uncomfortable with all the praise surrounding the event, and insist that without the help of the Helmite lady, Clara, and her accurate shootings, then they may not have been able to defeat the man. She often attepts, as politely as she can, to pawn the farmers onto Clara, telling her to tell what all happened before quietly slipping away.

  • _:: Rumor spreads that a wagon was found in the plains, burnt, it's drivers massacred, and anything of cargo taken. Tracks lead nowhere.

    "Orcs…" is mumbled. ::_

    @05d3dddede=Gobbletom:

    By Order of the town Council, preaching, teaching or speaking the names
    of known Evil Gods shall NOT be permitted within the walls of Jiyyd. Those
    who do not heed this town ordinance shall be banned from the town of Jiyyd. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    Those who worship in silence and not within the walls of Jiyyd are still welcome to spend time here if you so choose, as long as you can obey the Ordinance. The Council will not address your concerns regarding
    this matter so do not attempt to seek council. Their is enough evil
    within the lands of Narfell and Jiyyd will not fall prey to those with evil
    intent.

    Our children will not be corrupted or influenced by such individuals.
    There are exceptions with regard to education but if you are a follower and believer to a God of evil intent, then your words are not welcome.

    Furthermore from this point on all Banites to be banned fomr town due
    to some of their factions attacks on our city.

  • A pair of brothers, probably mages, were run out of Jiyyd last night by William Morrison and a Helmite Knight, as one of them is an admitted Banite, and called on his God after being warned that it was against Jiyyd Law to do so.

    The Fool saved their lives by taking them as Minions and sending them off on a task, when they refused to leave Jiyyd of their own accord.

    //Does the Jiyyd Law post need to be updated? A certain DM possessed Helmite knight was saying the Jiyyd Council had banned all Banites from Jiyyd on pain of death, but the Jiyyd Law post does not reflect that.//

  • _The Helmite guards accept neither food nor ale…. especially not the ale.

    "Vigilance...General. Surely I doubt that a beverage clouding the mind during duty would serve to that purpose. "_

  • Legion

    *With many rumors flying amazingly enough The General can be seen greeting any helmite with a smile and a nod along with offfering of ales and any aid they may need while adjusting to the new life in Jiyyd " best ales in de land! Here ye go solda.. blessed be the triad" grins and stands guard a bit before going out for apatrol

  • A young man with lavendar eyes and a friendly smile sits down at the Regal Whore. His clothes are finely made, as though he comes from a well off family, but with none of the haughtiness one might expect from one of such breeding.

    He finds one of the commonfolk who were present when Dwin asked the Helmites for help in putting together a militia, and asks him what he thinks about it all.

    Does he think they are actually there to help? Or does he think Mr. Dolvak will have to see to their security on his own?

    And didn't he think Mr. Dolvak was right as rain about them bein in the same boat, Norwick and Jiyyd. And wouldn't they be stronger working together.

    Seems like them Helmites and Legion folks is just gonna stand around yappin about who cares more, but when someone like Mr. Dolvak actually comes askin for help to actually get folks workin together to get stuff done…

    Well thats just why folks should put more stock in what Mr. Dolvak says, since he don't care one way or another whether the Helmites got more power than the Legion or visa versa. He just doin what needs to be done to keep them and their families safe.

    He then buys everyone in the whore another round.

  • A group of people can been heard in the Regal Whore relaxing from that days activities. Among the other things heard this one statment was quite vivid.

    Helmed man) Well I guess that Dolvak is not a bad fellow. A tad to swing happy if ye ask me though all the same he gets things done while the others sit by and argu about whats the action they should take then take their sweet time on acting upon what they decided. He nea afraid to get his hands dirty either. Heh I guess it be the dwarf in him. Tis a shame he does not pull more weight on the council as he does much more for the towns than the ones that have more power.

  • Some people may have noticed that a tall and muscular redhead spoke quietly with the soldier beforehand, and also handed her a potion. Some rumors suggest that potion enabled her to spot the demon, others may say it's the redhead's fault the soldier was seeing demons to begin with.

  • A small, mousish human male with beady lavendar eyes and thin balding hair pauses in his tirade about how much better things would be if only Mr. Dolvak were accorded the authority necessary to make the changes what needed to be made…

    He briefly wonders how anyone can "spot" and invisible demon.

    He returns to his political machinations.

  • A Helmite Stationed outside the sisterhood was seen running into town screaming shortly after sunset, after only a few hours stationed outside ((I think >_>))

    Lilin came into town and conversed with the Solider briefly before sending her off to get some sleep.

    Later, in a completely unrelated event, a package of fresh vension in a box packed with snow ((for freshness ;))) appeared outside the helmet temple, with a Note, which read, in a barely readable scribble:
    @bb2d16a86a:

    Clara-
    Sorry

    • Not to scale

    ((Thanks Attentus 🙂 ))
