Jiyyd Rumors

  • rumours spread about one of helmite guards spotting invisible demon near sisterhood

  • Dwin casually looks through the deed and the other documents to see if he can ascertain a fair market price for the land, based on current market values and the overall good condition of the property.

  • _The paladin is seen entering her home, still charred from the Orc's assault several weeks ago.

A short while later, she leaves again, carrying a few small possessions, and heads towards the Council building with several parchments in hand.

Rumor has it that she relinquished the deed to the land back to Jiyyd, asking for no coin in return, and has taken up permanent lodgings within the Temple's barracks, merely asking that the town seek a useful purpose for the grounds._

  • Shortly after receiving a tidy sum of gold from a fat dwarf in a robe, concerning a very special trashcan, Drudo the innkeeper is heard cursing loudly shortly after a autonomously flying gnomish pie was seen going into the regal whore

  • Hints of an icy chill sweep through Jiyyd..

  • Legion

General Grag is seen saluting NYda with a pat on the shoulder handing her a well deserved gnomish pie

  • Rumours spread that the Sergeant Nyda of the Legion has outdone herself in her most recent exploit. Upon finding a magical circle surrounded by staked corpses in the Pass, next to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, she and a member of the black sails were confronted by a being that radiated pure malevolance and power. Laughing at their insignificance the being summoned a powerful creature to go and destroy Norwick. Giving chase they were joined by others and destroyed the beast just outside Norwick. The being, whose power felt to be that of a deity, summoned another that was slain just inside Jiyyd. After much taunting and argument with the deity, who was revealed to be Bane, or at least claimed to be and had the power to back it up, summoned a third more powerful version that slew a pair of helmites in Jiyyd before being slain.

Bane caused great wounds on several of the people around the Circle during this, though seemed unable to hurt Nyda when he tried. They spoke in both common and infernal, though none of Nyda's answers seemed to please the self-proclaimed Dark Lord until she threatened to put him over her knee and spank some sense into him. This amused him and he took her away for a private chat. Whatever the result of this he then left for good the magic circle fading. Throughout she denied his right to take anyones free will, and refused repeatedly to bow or kneel to him.

Though he did appear to her again outside Jiyyd and confirm that his thrice refused offer to her stood if she ever tired of mortal men.

  • _When hearing talk about the Talosian, Dentin simply shrugs.

"No Stormcaller can stand against Creation. Let him send his dogs. Every time he flees is yet more proof of his own weakness, and cowardice."_

  • When asked about the Talosian by Fadia Juster gets quiet a moment then begins to talk.

He controls the weather. He brings in very large storms and caused lightning to rain down all over. He also is in charge of wolves it seems. He sends worgs and bigger wolves, along with winters and even some of those huge ones seen only in the forest by mintas to do his fighting for him. He is a skilled caster, but refused to fight hand to hand. When people are able to get to him he quickly casts a spell and is gone. Gone from hearing, gone from everything. Even a spell to see invisable things was not able to reveal him. Perhaps someone with better magic then me, which isn't hard to accomplish at all, would be able to see him, but i couldn't see him, or hear the footsteps that so many invisable people forget to silence. I believe he also is able to call lightning from the sky. But since he is usually out of sight, perhaps the biggest danger is the wolves.

he then shrugs lightly and walks off no longer wanting to think about it

  • Dwin sarcastically mentions to several of his local followers that he is "glad that the folks of Jiyyd can follow directions so well."

  • Rumours say that a few corpses along with a few notes written in orcish saying that unless attacks against the orcs stop they will execute more prisoners. It's also said that shortly afterwards a group of adventurers ventured into the orc-plains and painted the plains red with orcish blood

  • The Ex-banite Draihken was found on the outskirts of Jiyyd this day by a Sunite women, Draihken appeared unharmed but seemed to be rather disoriented and confused about the entire ordeal, he was then helped back to the Town were he is now safely resting

  • The Halfling Defence League

_Fadia, as usual tightly wrapped in her hooded cloak, is seen dashing to and fro about town, asking all she meets of their knowledge of the talosian

Has anyone considered that this may be the same one from a few years ago? Or…or maybe even just related to it? Anything's possible....either way, let me know if anything happens...I'd love to help bring down another of these._

  • Another attack of the Talosian druid or cleric happened. The town was first covered in a powerful storm, lightning setting small patches of grass alight. Soon after, worgs attacked the east gates, and a group, made up primarily of Helmites set out to find the Talosian. They battled trough groups of worgs, before reaching a hill where the Talosian stood and commanded the group to kneel. They would have non of that, however, and as they charged up the hill, the stormcaller vanished, yet not before calling down a pillar of fire upon the brave defenders.

  • _Idle gossip circulates about an incident at the west gate, where a pair of elves and a human were splashed and burnt by an alchemical bomb hurled by a Narswoman. This led to a heated exchange of insults and veiled threats; thankfully for Jiyyd, however, no further violence ensued.

The fact that there were no guards at the gate to put a stop to the affair, which left an ugly burnt patch in the fields, is seen by some as proof that the militia recruitment is long overdue. Others are of the opinion that the last thing Jiyyd needs is to PAY troublemakers with swords to hang around and cause trouble._

  • Draihken was seen by the campsite of Jiyyd talking with a Paladin of Helm, the paladin told Draihken of the virtues and code in which he lives by and asked Draihken what he would strive for, With so many thoughts going through his head and unable to come to any definite conclusion he retired to the Temple in hopes of clearing his thoughts, he spent the remainder of the evening praying to helm and sitting in quiet contemplation that every action he takes from this day forth will be disected by others and that if he is to stay on his long road to redemption he must begin setting goals for himself so that he does not stray

  • Within minutes Dwin hears about Mecizq's whining from a few of his local faithful followers

If that lad has a problem, he best address me directly. I hear shiite like that I might start to think he's tossin' shiite. The only way to stop someone from tossin shiite is to cut their farkin head off. 'Least thats what me Pa used to tell me.

"Which town I owe allegiance to?" He farkin kiddin me? I own parcels all over this land. Just because I run the Militia of the Southern Nars don't mean I am banished within the walls o Norwick!

All the thanks I get fer savin this place from ruin… ya know, I think some folks are just plain jealous.

Remind me to ask him how he likes bein' a crafter in my Union next time I see him. chuckles Maybe he thinks its a farkin "conflict" too.

Dwin walks off and buys the closest commoner an ale or two. Dwin never pays much attention, but he is starting to think that Jiyyd water makes peoples' eyes turn lavendar.

  • "Jiyyd has done admirably well in the past by itself, and will surely continue to do so. I am sure that every man and woman that lives here, can contest to that."

  • Although none of the malcontents with lavendar eyes ever approach Mecizq directly, as the townsfolk parrot his concern, the rumors take a turn to address it, citing how successful Dwin has been in making Norwick secure against threats from the outside, and gently suggesting that it wouldn't be so bad to have a singular leadership, forever uniting the two towns in everlasting peace.

Not to mention how advantagous it would be for Jiyyd to draw upon Norwick's formidable resources and economy, should the need arise.

  • Legion

General Grag instructs the helmites and the legion to keep a close eye on the Ex-Banite
