Jiyyd Rumors
-
Word spreads that Penny is looking to purchase a flock of chickens, and one rooster, for Dwin's farm on the east road between Ormpur and Jiyyd.
-
Scratches his head a bit
So those dual-axe wielders that slammed up against the city, after thier drunken drumming revel, were just…figments of our immagination. I believe the Orcs have had a bit too much brew and are forgetting the fact that even thier own aren't fully keeping to a treaty.
Treaties work for short time peace. This thing was just waiting to be snapped
-
Treaty? HA! slaps his armour clad knee WHAt treety! we honored der ten day nae attack period then they attacked jiyyd the otha eve… They want to attack JIyyd again teeel umm ta git in line wit the rest O umm...
-
Theaon can be seen muttering about the message from the orcs
"We broke the treaty? I think those pig lovers forgot about all the treaties they dishonored and all the times they attacked Jiyyd. Now they're mad because they are sore losers. sighs Typical orcs…..."
-
Oreth glances at the brick, and then shrugs, and adds more garlic extract to the cookpot
They have a compelling point…
-
_After the defeat of their champion at the hands of the half orc Kull, then the following attack on the orc stronghold two tendays later, the orcs respond with this message on a piece of parchment wrapped around a brick. It is thrown into jiyyd, hoping to hit Grag.
It reads._
Yus attack us, wes attack yus. Legion pay in blood for dead warriors and ax-man in sky decide whu win.
Have stupid half breed head mounted on pike.
The messenger is gone before a 'welcoming party' shows.
(yeah, er. Whoops. Edited this  )

_This news spreads like wildfire;
It is said that a group of Knights performed something called 'Moruss' and that its result is that the Little Lady of Infernus is banished from Toril never to cause harm here again._
-
A man of white skin wearing white robes was seen walking Jiyyd. Some folks already seem to know him. A few others remark that he looks like a ghost that was once seen occasionally in the town.
-
_As the dawn rises on yet another fresh morning, tired wood artisans are seen leaving the southern hill just as you leave jiyyd, on the long road….they move straight past anyone and head to the whore for a large pint of ale. Behind them in the distance, a small camp appears to have been set up, along with a set of ladders and a small fence.
It is anyones guess what is going on, though, Kara, a familiar figure is seen regularly moving up the ladder, soon disappearing into the trees.
They didn't eat her whole, did they?_
-
a dark skinned priestess of Umberlee nods, pulling her hood down a bit lower against the wind.
-
2 dead women and their belongings (enough clothes for a whole village) were brought into Jiyyd by a Banite wizard in trollform, who then collapsed under the weight when Tolin dispelled him. After handing over the bodies and their belongings, and asking for a thank you (which he was refused), he left grumbling, determinded that no matter what you do, the good people of Jiyyd don't look past your skin.

As Melody utters her Troll-Death-Curse-of-Greater-Doom, Elor clutches his ears and drops to the ground, falling unconcious. In the gypsy camp.
-
Melody is more than happy to explain to everyone that if they should be attacked by a troll, in particular a red troll, they should try to Troll-Death-Curse-of-Greater-Doom. Those who don't run to get cover in time are then favored by a demonstration of a very long and very loud "AIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
-
A giant red troll appeared in Jiyyd, calling out the name of Peppy. It ignored everything in its way, even the townsfolk and headed west. Since it attacked no one, and seemed to be not dangerous, it was not killed on the spot. To be safe, Damian Colten and Steelfin followed the beast as far as the Nars Ridge. It called out Peppy's name repeatedly, even hollering it from the top of a hill. It then disappeared when a horde of Hobgoblins distracted the knights.
They spent the rest of the day searching for a sign of it, but since they have no experience in tracking, it was a rather futile attempt.

Lately, Genzir is sometimes seen standing on the road about ten yards inside the gate, watching it, waiting, and not really doing anything, just guarding. Those who approach him might notice, from time to time, a sad smile on his face. "The gate needs guarding. We have to be watchful. That's the Legion's job," he explains to those who inquire.

Some days after an apparant incident with a grenade in the inn, during a series of cage fights, Dentin delivers a new table and a set of chairs to the inn. He then leaves again before any questions can be asked, leaving Drudo in something of a confused state. Apparantly, Dentin burned the carpet.

Rumour has it two legionaires trying to catch and cook a certain very badly singing bird were assaulted recently by a paladin and had to be seperated by the full force of the town guard, thankfully things ended with a sizzle
-
Taria eagerly responds to the rumors that it was on public property, the pig had no identifying marks and was quite stronger than average so had a fair chance of being dangerous, and that if an owner had later claimed a pig to be missing then she would pay the cost of the pig without fuss.
After that she giggles.
-
Zach tries to find the authorities in down (or so it is said) he wishes to report an act of destruction of private property by the priestess Tairia on a pig in the commons despite it being pointed out to her it was not hers to destory.

The paladin of Sune, Caling, has further bad news to report regarding the marks of darkness.
It seems that some powerful demon may have been bound within the egg, or something. Despite the best efforts of Sir Shannon, Sabre, Genevieve and herself, the demon-thing escaped their attempts to destroy it and fled into the swampy night.
They plan an expedition to defeat it, better prepared to fight its skeleton and shadow minions.
