Jiyyd Rumors
-
Rumors of a flaming badger assaulting a few commoners gathered around the fire spread around the commonwealth; most notably a brown haired female elf defending herself with fierce kicks, a pink haired woman who grappled the then doused badger after an orange haired young man distracted it with a flashy red cape.

Under Sara's mentor, Zoma can be seen often practicing his swordplay as well as unique sitting posture taught by Sara often in Jiyyd while idling.
Recently, he can be seen practicing with a dwarven waraxe in his hand with a forlorn look, extremely frustrated with every swing he makes are carried with signs of clumsiness.
Otherwise, when sitted down in a cross legged posture, his back straighten in a steady and composed form, his face is often reflecting a peaceful look.
-
A snicker can be heard from the near the fire and in a deep dwarven voice
Tha lad disnae get tha par' whar it rises fae tha deed…anna it hid this grea' big cloak wi red velvi' linin'...an it wis nae ordinary spider!
great clouds of sweet smelling smoke surround the speaker as he pulls a long draw from a clay pipe
<d>There is always a critic</d>

Oreth squints in total noncomprehension at this story when it comes to him at the cook fires, where he is busily cooking some sort of garlic-hawk concoction
Umm….you guys do know that all spiders drink blood, right? Like, that's what they eat. Normally. Blood. And they all have fangs. Venom dripping is also pretty common, especially when they get all...huge, like you're talking. Also, bony, spindly legs. They pretty much have their skeletons on the outside. All pretty standard.
So where exactly did you figure this one was a "vampire"?
Oh wait....shite...did it have a cape?
-
Word spreads of a giant vampire spider from the depths of the abyss, dark veno dripping from its long, pointy, sharp fangs. Its dread spindly. boney, spikey legs spanning three houses. It is said a group of brave and fearsome adventures squashed the bug, only to see it rise again to feed on the blood of the living.

Her eyes puffy and rimmed in grief, a dispirited Eluriel walks into Jiyyd from the east. In the taylor's she exchanges her customary finely woven, many-hued cloak for one that is servicable, but drab. From there she walks to the swamp, emerging a little later with forked singes everywhere on the new cloak. In the days that follow, Eluriel wears this tattered garment with something akin to pride. It is not long before splattered acid burns join the singes. Eluriel adjusts the cloak often; pulling it a bit tighter around herself, fluffing it up a bit to shake off rainwater, or else drawing the hood up and shifting it continually lower over her face. She appears to derive comfort from these small things and is careful not to harm the chain of rose thorns holding the cloak in place.

@d4a931f889=Salsadoom:
Rumor has it that several locals have been buying rounds at the Inn for all. Apparently they have come into a sum of money of late. When asked of where the money came from they say a figure in dark clothes came to them and gave them a pouch of gold for a small vial of their blood and was gone with the letter and vial.
Some drink to the their health and new found wealth, some scowl at 'devils gold' and will have nothing to do with the drinks, while others sit back and think.
A random adventurer is heard to snipe:
"You sold a vial of your blood to an unknown man in dark clothes? Not very bright, is it? Don't blame me when a curse falls on your head."

Defender Mark Kelben, along with Alexi and a recently arrived dwarf, were seen escorting a messenger who came to Jiyyd towards the crossroads again.
It seems a group of traders got lost and needed a guide to Peltarch.
The night after they left, they could be seen in Jiyyd again, badly worn and escorting a young woman.
To hear them tell it, they were met with snipers, and all members of the caravan but the woman had died. Thanks to the bravery of the dwarf, baiting the snipers on his own accord, the young crossbowman was able to finish one off.
He warns others for travelling the pass, as at least one crossbowsniper is still out there.

After a battle between machines and a large group of adventurers and town defenders on the road to Ormpur, a small group of those who had fallen was carried away by a large construct. They returned hours later, each having a metal version of a limb or another.
-
A large group returned, stil slightly snow covered, from the mountains. They were a rescue mission for a goup of entertainers but they arrived too late. The return journey was arduous but did not result in any further deaths for the party. The same cannot be said for the giants who tried to oppose them.

Later in the day, it's rumoured that Kara got her hands on a powerful sixth circle scroll and would be willing to sell it to the highest bidder. There is no word on what the scroll or if there is any bidders so far.

_A large formiadable group of well armed warriors marches out of Jiyyd and was heard to be travelling into Nars Ridge to save a defactor of the 'Mechanist'.
After a day or so, everyone returned in a badly beaten and bruised state, some of them looking grumpy whereas some looking victoriously proud.
Nonetheless, all of them looks well in their bloodied state and no one noticed them bringing any body bags along._
-
After enquiring with the guard some days ago, Kara appears to be milling about jiyyd, seeming to be in a rather morose mood. She can be found sitting at the edge of the tower, watching out into the distance with a thoughtful, if sad expression.

Jerr has been seen looking very glum indeed. He has been asking any and all if they have seen his armor. It seems he removed it to do some cooking and laid it to one side and now does not know where it is.
Custom colors and special enchantements in it may make it a tempting prize for an enterprising thief but Jerr seems morre worried about what happens to such a person if . . . others . . .find out that the armor is in the possession of one to whom it does not belong.

A large pack of wolves recently came running through Jiyyd, causing a bit of a stir. Though seemingly benign, the pack surrounded a young woman clad in black and proceeded to lick her quite thoroughly. It is speculated that the unfortunate girl might have had bacon in her pockets, but regardless of the reason behind the canine attention, the woman was nowhere to be seen after the pack left town and headed out into the Nars. Only far later did she reappear, sitting in the Inn drinking some heavy duty liquor with a male companion.

A rag tag band made up of Horbag, Alba, Dentin and two others is seen setting of looking for a caravan that is delayed. They head for the Coldstone mountains. They return several days later looking anything from slightly annoyed to totally bashed into flour. As they talk to their employer about what happened, he is strucked downed and killed by an arrow. Talk spreads of the caravan being totally destroyed by mechanical things

@9b2341aa29=strepsiades:
Sir Roland is seen at the site of Talgris' grave, surrounded by a group of Defenders and Divine Shield knights. He examines the ground around the greatsword, frowning deeply. With a tired sigh, he turns to his guards and murmurs:
"Dig him up."
Jerr or some of the other sisters request that the Defenders refrain from grave robbing in braod daylight and at least have the courtesy to speak to the sisters before 'digging him up'. A proper funeral WAS given for the warrior and the ground IS consecrated. Is it the intention of the guard to defame this holy ground?
They are pointed in the direction of Nicahh, Amith (who officiated at the funeral) or Jerr.

Rumors spread like wildfire that the pink-haired bard, Penny, has recently undergone some sort of alarming transformation of appearance. What appears to be a brilliant prismatic tattoo now curves across her forehead, around her left eye, down her cheekbone, and spirals loosely around her neck before disappearing into her clothing. Several of her outfits reveal that this tattoo continues its spiral pattern across her torso and abdomen. The more unusual of these rumors seems to indicate that the pattern isn't a tattoo at all, but rather, a continuous patch of brightly reflective scales.
