Jiyyd Rumors
-
A man in blue can be heard commenting…
"They are just but a few, and with their passing let us hope new heroes rise to take their place, as is the natural order of life."
-
_General Lyte has been telling all around Jiyyd of the horrific casualty rate in the battle with the ghouls, the highest she has ever witnessed in any single fight, in her many years of battle.
She looks wretchedly unhappy, and when asked, she relates that as of yet, General Grag and Captain Silmathienia have not returned from death.
She vows to continue to pray for their safe return, and to attempt whatever needs to be done to see them back among her Legion brothers and sisters.
She asks that everyone who loves them to pray to their various gods and goddesses that these two warriors decide to return among the living, as the Legion and Jiyyd would sorely miss the big half orc's booming laugh, and Silmathenia's sweet voice.
And surely, she passionately states, the forces of good in these lands would be so much less, without them._
-
It seems that Legionnaires General GRAG and the bard Sil have not been seen for some days after the battle at Mintas.

A portal keeps opening in the centre of the gate, spewing forth outsiders. It is said that there is an area of Raw Magic there
A green-robed elf is seen often at the menhir South of Jiyyd, prodding about, casting minor spells, and occasionally meditating. He also spends time on the watch tower, presumably waiting for one of these occasions.

Drelan is seen lying by the water in jiyyd sometimes a small fire near by starring out as if no ones quite home. He rises if the town is attacked then returns to his spot in the same position. Some people think they may hear a yelp occaisionally when passing by the spot.

Vile battle, death, destruction!
After all the smoke has cleared and Mingal and his hordes of ghouls defeated, calm falls once more.
Once the evil of the orb was neutralized (temporarily?) the stalwart defenders and champions seemed to forget about its existence as they scoured the fallen Mingal's body for other items of interest.
The irrepressibly pretty elf, who successfully disabled the Orb from destroying the natural life in all of Jiyyd when others were determined to think with their sword arms, seems to have slipped away.

Rumours Spread that the War has begun… With a force of around a hundred Ghouls being fought back at the Eastern Gates.
A Ghoulish Ogre was reported to have told defenders that no more accursed were to be tolerated wandering the plains.

after bringing wolf down hedia was seen just watching the animals come take wolf away her eyes always on the two panthers that were there. comeing out of her daze once they were gone she is seen talking to somepeople in jiyyd commons.
if you see wolf while it is true that protection form evil spells stop the daggers hold on him. As the dagger told me while i was trying to force it from him that thoes spells wont work if he is holding the dagger. He has become too dangerus that is why we had to disable him untill we can get this mess fixed.

((I think there should be a seperate thread about any dagger info/events. Not to take up al the rumors thread. I dont know how to make a seperate thread and post all of the rumors and stuff about the daggers and Wolf, so please, someone do that))
-
It seems Hedia with a large audience brought wolf down when in one of his violent phases. Star cut his wrist and ankle tendons so that he could not shapeshift and escape and could be taken somewhere for his own safety before being healed. It seems Star then had to chastise one of the audience for hitting her repeatedly.
However, a white stag came and a group of other animals and dragged Wolf's body off into the woods. The Stag it seems whispered a message to Star before leaving.

Oreth is seen asking after the elf Caling, and warning anyone he sees to tell her not to lose sight of the second dagger or pass it on to anyone else. He seems quite frantic.
-
The witch Raisa makes it known that Protection from Evil and Circle of Protection spells disrupt the dagger's effects much more effectively than bloodshed. If Wolf can be brought to her, she can ward him for nearly a day. Unfortunately, he nearly strangled her the last time she tried after he had used his pot of sound on her and a spell resistance enchantment on himself.
She is also keen on seeing the second dagger.
-
A talkative and pretty City elf who goes by the name of Caling, is asking around town about the dagger, the druid and Chaevre.
She's more than happy to relate the tale of how she found a similar dagger but it appeared to have no hold over her. She posits that it affects those of weaker minds, like males and humans for preference.
Of all of them, she seems keenest to find Chaevre.
-
Remains calm when dealing with the druid….perhaps one of they few, or the only onw, that doesn't resort to direct insults and violence.
-
Wolf, growing more strange by the day, comes bounding through Jiyyd with what appear to be several orc hearts in his hand. He looks around and asks anyone if they have seen Penny and asks… or forces... them to point him in her direction.
-
Juster is seen frowing after hearing the rumour and shaking his head
"Did she intentionally forget to add the part where anyone that touches the dagger is forced under it's influence?"
-
It comes to Chaevre's attention that the cause of Wolf's instability is due to a dagger that is supposedly controlling his mind, the druid refuses to say where it is hidden, if anyone will find the dagger Chaevre' is offering a reward for its recovery. She claims she can convince the dagger to release its hold on Wolf.
-
For his part, Oreth agrees with them, and encourages them to try to keep him out if they can, nonfatally if possible

@c33063affd=Oreth:
In the wake of Wolf's tear through Jiyyd, Oreth is seen warning folk not to approach the rampaging druid, that he is dangerous, and not fully in control of his own mind
Some were seen to comment that the insane druid should not be allowed anywhere near Jiyyd for the safety of others.
