Jiyyd Rumors

The tavern is alight with the story of a man who stood about the cookfire only briefly, questioning a woman in flowing white robes glistening in the moonlight. This was about midnight or so….
It seems the woman was not forthcoming in her answers and without warning he was armed in both hands, blades flashing and tackling the woman.
Right then, so the tavern-goers say, some fellow came charging in through the gates as if he knew the woman in white were in distress and taking sword and shield attacked the attacker!
A short fight ensued in which the first attacker, the questioner, was driven to the ground and took several furious blows. The fight seemed over.
But the questioner got up again and quickly put the new arrival who attacked him into some sort of dreamy daze or haze, stuck him a few times in the gut and disappeared without a trace.
The entire story keeps the men of the tavern occupied and arguing trying to decide who was in the right, the questioner or the man new arriving.
The women are all happy for the survival of the woman dressed in flowing white but also are not sure who to side with among the men.
Meanwhile Drudo makes a healthy sale of beer and spirits as all of the above argue and fight, and later make up to go back to their normal lives, wondering when the next attack by ghouls or wolves or giants or machines will occur. Some even chuckle about how they miss the old days when orcs were their only fear. Then the whole chatter starts over again.

The Half-Orc prisoner of Jiyyd
Grag was seen ordering a half-orc in an orange set of clothing about Jiyyd earlier. Seems that Stone Skull a suspected thief, mugger and follower of Gruumsh, has been sentenced to many, many, hours of labor within the walls of the city.
Citizens are advised to ignore the prisoner while he works, and provide him no aid. Any problems concerning him are to be brought to the attention of the guards at once.

Dead dwarf found near the edge of the nars
The body of a dwarven female in veteran clothing, much slashed by the sword is recovered by a passing caravan. There is no clear identification of her. Among her possessions was a set of bagpipes with a gash crudely stitched closed and some roughly cut reeds.
Drudo recognizes her as one of his tenants that paid up on time most of the time and had a few drinks now and then.

Dentin goes around the town, asking for information regarding the Machinist and The Ghost. He seems interested in any new sightings of either, and seeks to speak with those involved.

It is said that Gurt's hot pants single handedly defeated an Orcish assualt on the gates of Jiyyd. The stories says that Gurt the Flaming hardly even lifted a finger while the Orcs fell dead around him. Some of the Orcs even apparently burst into flames. However, these are just rumors among the townsfolk.

Its message delivered, the crow flaps off to investigate a nice trash heap. It may be eyeing the dwarf suspiciously. But you're probably imagining it.

Damian Colten has been seen around town rushing to and fro. A looks of extreme anxiousness is on his face at all times.
It is rumored that information he had heard at the druids glenn had disturbed him greatly.

_There was a large orc attack on the southern gates of Jiyyd, recently. Only a small band of adventurers stood against them and came to victory. The southern gate looks badly damaged, due to siege weapons the orcs used. Though, the follower of Gond, Dentin, used Jiyyd's balistae to destroy most of the orcs and their siege weapons. The band of adventurers then charged to take out the remaining orcs.
Afterwards, the druid known as Wolf is seen wandering the plains for a day or two, putting out fires and blessing the landscape that suffered so much destruction. He would returned covered in soot and completely unrecognizeable._
((If the DMs could check the plains and make sure the fires get put out. Would be silly if the fires where still there after two RL days without a server reset.))

Rumour has Tolin had come to the gates of Jiyyd a day after he was seen around Norwick.
The Peltarch Defenders Dentin and Mark stood against him, though it was to little effect.
The cloth and leather of their armours burned, Mark mentions all he came to do, apparently, was demand that they bring the orbs to him, or they would perish.
Dentin took the defeat quite calmly, Mark seems irritated.

Late in the evening, a vampire is felled in Jiyyd. Rumors have it that the beast was not staked, and could remain on the loose.

After a conversation with Rolan, Lyte of the Legion, normally cheerful and upbeat, is seen looking contemplatively into the little lake in Jiyyd, seemingly troubled.

Rolan was seen dragging an unconcious half orc to the legion halls, he was also missing his ear it seems and wasnt seen for some time. After which he left the halls and proceeded to the Temple of Helm and didnt leave for many hours.

Early in the morning a battered group was seen rushing to the Healing Wonders from the direction of Ormpur carrying the body of an elf and a heavy pack. Later the same group is seen leaving carrying the still lifeless body out of the village carefully wrapped in the dark tattered cloak he never kept far from him.

Belade goes around telling people that the final date for their entries is fast approaching, and that even if they don't have any talent for art, why not give it a try? 4000 gold is a nice sum to win, along with a secret price by Lacey…

_All throughout the Tenday, Kara can be seen in Jiyyd with a strange badger that refuses to leave her side. Anyone attempting to draw the badger away from her by calming it would realise the badger just stares at the one responsible, as if wondering what they're trying to do.
It appears to have been the same badger that was there during the giant attack on Ormpur. It's reported that the badger killed several giants on it's own._

Rico Swift suffered a case of bizarre amnesia after taking a heavy blow to the head from one of the larger ghouls, causing his memory of everyone including himself to reset every few minutes or so. For a time, he insisted he was Peter the Protector, Bodyguard of Jandor.
((He's better now, but where's the fun in that? The rumor still stands!))

Star seem suninterested in the Challenge, but has been seen using the contents of the pot to coat her blades.
