Jiyyd Rumors
-
Jerr is seen more and more inside the town and on the run between Jiyyd and Norwick. Mention of the undead gets a 'cike' reaction, swift hand to the axe and darting eyes, looking for a target.
While he still flirts with the ladies and jokes with the men his attitude is a little sharper and ready for battle.
-
A crippled dwarven mage with one eye was seen limping hurriedly out of Jiyyd recently only to have members of the Watch searching town for him less than an hour later. Anyone seeing someone matching his discription in town should call the Watch or Legion for assistance.
-
Justene was seen stumbling out of the Regal Whore, and rumor spreads that an illusionist stole several things from people outside the sisterhood hall. He ultimately escaped, but the stolen items were found in the room.
-
General Grag is seen asking about this undead and tells many even his own cleaning crew has recently turned to undeads…."the truth shall be found and if she is innocent she will be freed immediatly"
-
A witch, new to the town, is heard talking in the inn:
_"The girl was an undead, who died to a spell called Heal. Undead are aberrations to the cycle of life, and thus deserve to die, each and everyone of them. This priestess should be praised, not jailed.
Yet another sign of the weaknesses of artificial laws made by humans. If the guards were something more intelligent than halforcs, they might have got the situation. But no.
People seem to see undead as "just another race". They should wake up from this stupid fantasy."_
-
Rumor has it and many witness agree that a Legionnaire by the name of Hedia was seen striking along time resident of Jiyyd down with magics. SHe peacefully surrendered to Basha and awaits trial. She was heard saying that the slain citizen was an undead.
-
_Word spreads that a horde of women in red and black robes leading sleepy eyed children are seen marching into Jiyyd and straight to the Legion hall. Seems the children have been moved there because the Sisterhood has yet again become a target for groups wishing to punish the innocent to get a reaction. Rumors circulate that undead are the reason for the move.
Many would notice that some Sisters now stand outside the legion, and per General Grag's approval, they are to screen people entering, only allowing Legionaires and other Sisters into the hall until the children are moved to a safe location.
Those seeking the leader of the Sisterhood find she is outside the Legion hall off and on, but tends to stay inside with the children, attempting to sooth them during this stressful situation._

_Mark spends an increased amount of time in and around Jiyyd, often asking people about the assassin that seems to be about.
He often stands on the archer's tower, huddled in a cloak and leaning against a pillar to stay from view a bit.
If not there, he stalks the plains and roads, wearing black clothing and a cloak, rather than his usual plate. He seems determined on taking the culprit down, whether it's a matter of compassion towards Jiyyd, of honour, or of a desire to get his hands on the weapon is anyone's guess._
-
After the absence of a few weeks, the tall and muscular red-head some called Melody is seen back in Jiyyd. However, she wears no longer any of her normal clothing, nor her armor, nor the robe of the sisterhood. She also seems to lack any memory of ever having met anyone, and even seems reluctant to react to any of her 'names'. People questioning where she came from merely are told that she set off from her foster parent's house a while back, and just arrived here. If people go on questioning why she doesn't move on, she points out, in her annoying speech pattern, that she tried, but all ways are blocked by monsters.

Rumor has it the Damaran count has attacked Jiyyd this time
-
Rumors spread of an assasin plaguing the happy citizens of Jiyyd. No one seem to be able to catch the man.
Then only a few blinks of time later after the assasin vanished into thin air, a weak attack from the orcs was attempted. If the two incidents are related the rumors are vague about. Some say yes and others seem not so sure.((thanks May, good fun!))
-
Rumor spreads that the Count from Damara was once again seen around Jiyyd, specificlly the Sisterhood. People also whisper about how he tried to burn the Sisterhood down and that Nicahh was heard commenting that she would pay atleast 3000 gold to the person who can bring her his head. Seems the half elven woman has grown tired of his games.
-
Whenever Mark hears people going on about how Nicahh's father is a Count of Damara and looking for her, he makes a point to tell people it was a girl named Nicha, not the crimson Sister we all know and love.

Rumors say that recently accused Grakk (who was found innocent quickly after) took a swift retreat to the Regal Whore inn, where he rooted himself to nearest table next to an ale keg. After few swigs of ale Grakk is heard complaining to the tavern patrons about the local authorities, their false accusations and lack of manners when they found Grakk innocent.
"Hmph, what a barbaric manners they have, when they found Grak not guilty, everyone except that female named Kara Dumonte refused to apologize for this unwanted attention. Graks reputation as a champion of Dowcher Trial, well supplied trader and mighty warrior is jeopardized with such false claims and accusations. Perhaps Grak needs to ask them some coin from this damage to Graks reputation, eh?"
After few hours, Grak is a little merrier and quite drunk
"Oi, that shorty female who runs the legion is actually quite a female. She showed some hospitality towards Grak when she offered some ale during the false accusations and those stinky interrigations. She and that female Kara got some manners at least, unlike the rest of that bunch. Grak drinks for their health: Cheers!"
Takes a long sip and with other hand, tries to grab Chesty Larue who is dancing near Graks table

After hearing of the count's recent threats against Jiyyd, Erugdish takes his axe off his back and stands at the gate, smiling, waiting….
-
Kitty will happily tell anyone that Count Analdoor of Damara who was a REAL AssHAT was looking for his daughter NICHA who wears spikey green and blakc armour BUT THAT NOONE should tell him ANYTHING because he was RUDE and MEAN and deserves to have all his INSIDE bits on the outSIDE!!!!!!
-
A Damaran count was in town recently looking for Nicahh. Patrons of the inn say he threatened Drudo and pushed people around before being confronted by a large, angry mob, some of whom insulted and threatened him back, while others, including some Legionnaires and Black Sails folk, spoke to him calmly. He threatened to raze the town and walked out the West gate, followed by the whole mob, some insulting him, some trying to talk to him, they all came back hours later looking quite beat up.

this is not a rumour, it -is- the truth
The half-orc known as Ugluk Rumgut as brought some orcs as back up. He was out side jyiid talking to 2 humans and 2 elfs. The other hal-orc that was with him and that goes by the name of Grakk was also with him when he called up on a small contigent of orcs to attack the 2 humans and elfs, forcing them to retreat to the safety of jyiid.
After a small interrogation session that took place in the legion hall, it was decided that in fact the half-orc named Grakk was inocent.

“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!”

Jiyyd is abuzz with rumours of giant spiders, driders and things even worse on the near road and further away in the Nars pass. Several fires are reported to have broken out in the woods, fortunately soon taken care of by the adventurers present. A huge demon spider apparantly chased noted ranger Cike Millant into town, forcing him to spend much time in the infirmary at Vrokas. Rumour has it that the reason behind all these attacks is a runaway dryad with some very nasty enemies.

_Word of Olivia's constant training in the Legion's training grounds continues to circuit around town. Her skill and determination rises with each day that passes and her focus clearly solid. It is said that she would not mind having company while training.
Not many days ago it is said that she challanged general Grag to a duel which was gladly taken up… the dwarven wizard known as Tolin was also included in the match that apparently took place in the Halls of the Legion building. The outcome of the battles is only known to those who participated.... but it would be safe to assume that Grag was victorious over Olivia._
