Jiyyd Rumors
-
- The Lord Protector walks into town with a small detactment of his troops and heads to the council offices… smiling*
-
A grumpy looking dwarf who was eating roasted potatos sits up straight and speaks to be heard

An dat come strait' from an officer who defend dis town.
Folk start wonderin' aboot justice an law when justic an law begin ta pick an chose when it decide ta pick an chose whut evil to smite an whut evil ta welcome aboot town wit' open arms.
But den again, folk see who sides wit' who an et ain' a mystery where they real loyalties be.. an et ain the fairness of law.
snorts and goes back to eating potatoes

Oreth turns to Zyphlin, shrugs, and comments
The town needs questions like those. They keep everyone honest. When people stop questioning at all, things can get seriously out of hand.
At the same time, questioning the air is not particularly effective. People with issues should address people responsible for thos issues, rather than rumbling about ineffectively.
And asking the same question over and over once it's already been answered is foolishness.
-
Zyphlin laughs hearing the tavern talk of a town founded and inhabited originally mostly be paladins, talking down about evil people getting beaten down
-
Whispers around the tavern talk about the inconsistent nature of of the laws of Jiyyd and how people are beginning to question the flip-flop in deciding who has broken the law and who is above it.
Whispers about how a woman can be brutally beaten while being taken into custody, yet the perpetrator of the offense walks about freely in town as well as to the full pardon of murder by the self proclaimed necromancer who witnesses have seen slaughtering the animals with ice and freesing cold, yet the council sees fit to turn a blind eye to her wickedness.
People are talking in hushed tones about the obvious favoritism to some and the more perception of discrimination towards others. One dwarf is heard asking how can it be that the town retains any credibility at all in the light of recent events.
-
Word quickly gets around that the Council is looking to speak to Rando in connection to the death of Rolan while in Jiyyd jurisdiction. He is asked to turn himself in for questioning peacefully to the council.
-
Some rumors of a werecat being sighted outside Jiyyd filter around, though a few are quick to say that it must have been some crazy mage considering the creature was seen talking to a woman.
The Watchmen do not appear to be afraid of the beast when asked about it. Watchman Basha comments, "If da cat tries to come in, it will feel our blades, mage or nots. Jiyyd be safe wid us."

_When General Grag goes to check upon the house, he can find no trace of supposed ghosts.
Still, it would seem the house has clearly become inhabited once again, as in the following days, it appears to gain a more clean facade once again. The dust that was a blanket for years is removed, the windows cleaned, and regularly a fire burns. General rumor spreads that, under whatever circumstances, the owner has returned.
Those checking upon times at the Helmite temple, will find a recent addition to the Temple's roster:
"Shane Andryl - Reporting for duty."_
-
_Little splashes of pink can be seen here and there around Jiyyd: Ribbons tied around most everything that they fit around. Some of them have three letters written in black along the side: PtS.
Also, a number of people can be seen walking around with identical pink ribbons tied around their wrists._
-
It seems a few insults were passed between Rando of Norwick and Rolan just outside the town and it ended up with Rolan dead. Rolan is seen walking around town looking quite happy afterwards and proceeds to go back out and isnt seen for a few days.

Apparently the woman who accompanied the supposed Banite girl into town is the tall, red-haired woman known to some as Melody. When asked about it, she simply states with her common sheepish smile that a law that makes people threaten young girls at swordpoint is a silly law. When questioned about the girls faith, she states similar to Nicahh, that she doesn't ask people which gods they worship and which they don't.
-
_Nicahh is seen working upon the Sisterhood farm with the suspected banite girl, a young teenager whom seems to run if someone says "boo" too loud. She is also seen trying to help the youth find work. Stranglely enough, the girls name seems to be Nicka too.
When people question her about whether the very young girl is a banite or not, she simply replies: "I've not asked her what her faith is. In the long run it matters little. If you have valid reasons for thinking her a banite, I suggest you try and offer her a better path, then simply chase her with nasty words and swords." With that, she heads to the clothing shop to see if they need an apprentice to help them out._
-
Rumors spread about a possible banite trying to enter jiyyd earlier, two of her attempts foiled by a lower ranking legioneer. On a third attempt the suspected banite came with a woman of the scarlet sisterhood.
Rumors have it that the self proclaimed 'farmer' never denounced bane, and with the help of the sister, she was able to get a simple bottle of milk.
Noone is certain if the farmer was a banite or not, but two things are known. The farmer wore banes colors on an odd looking set of armor, and two, that the scarlet sisterhood will help anyone they think is being oppressed.
Be it a child, or a banite.
-
Rumor has it General Grag went to check on this supposed ghost after being harrased by the drunken man.
-
Through the early hours of the evening in Jiyyd, a curiousity can be seen. The woman known as Kara was seen almost dancing down the road in jiyyd with a bright grin on her face, when asked, she doesn't respond, save for a smile. There is only speculation in what has brought a long absent smile to the paladin's face
-
_The next evening, lights are again seen inside the old abandoned home, and a small whiff of smoke passes from the chimney. The fireplace shows lit, and the shape of a figure can be seen in a chair close to it, the back faced to the window, apparently asleep.
Looking through the window, one thing catches the eye… an old armorstand, up to now empty for as long as anyone can recall the door to this house having been closed, now holds an old suit of armor, with Helm's symbol proudly engraved on the chest.
Upon examining the door leading into this house, several marks show signs of it having been opened, and a mudded bootprint is left upon the doorway, leading in, though nothing can reveal any sign of forced entry.
An old man, having been laughed away at for either being senile or drunk, spoke of ghosts wandering amongst the living...._

While not working on expanding the dwarven temple, the Thorbrands and Notibly Hamish is seen around the regal whore, griping and complaining about the lack of space. Yells of ' SHUT DE FARK UP! YE' SOUR'N MEH ALE!' and 'Dem takin up drink'n space!' can be heard through most of the evening. Some hours later, the boyish loud singing begins for yet another night in a row, lasting into the early hours of the evening.
-
Many would have noticed that there seems to be a new influx of helmites in and around Jiyyd. Those that visit the temple can clearly see that there is a massive construction effort underway and many new faces running around the temple. It seems that the temple is getting a face lift.
Most venturing into the Regal Whore will also notice that it too has began construction on some renovations. Though most are closed to the public there seems to be a large structure being built right in the center of the common room.
Lens is seen walking around the town quite pleased with all the new changes taking place and commenting over and over on how proud he is.
-
_Rumors abound of a strange occuring in the dead of night in the Jiyyd area. One farmer solemnly swears to have seen faint lights in the old empty house standing next to Kert's store. To his tales, as he passed the fireplace glowed dimly, and looking through the window he could see a faint shape sitting in a chair next to it.
However, investigations the next day show no signs of any intrusions. The house remains as empty and cold as it has been for years, since it's owners vanished, with the dust of time still covering everything. The door remains locked…
The farmer decides to speak of it no more, especially after considering the ale that Drudo had poured him just before, and his friends make off with the story as a drunkard's tall tale._

Just'ene, Nathander, and a small group of adventurers were seen leaving the town of jiyyd in the direction of the the orcish fortress. Hours later they were seen running back into the town with an army of very angry looking orcs chasing after them, with a lifeless body of nathander in the arms of one of them. After fighting off the orcs, they were seen entering the healing house and Nathander was seen coming back out excitedly. Rumours have it that the group had invaded the fortress with just the few number and slaughtering and desecrating whatever is within hence incurring the violent retaliation.
