Jiyyd Rumors

  • DM

Rumour has it that commoner Biswan a farmer in Jiyyd was killed by swamp creatures this day, the rumour is confirmed by Watchwoman Masdar, and Just'ene Bri'THankess if they are asked.

It was seen that a female elven warrior was seen fighitng the glowing creatures in town at around the same time.

A note is soon after left at the legion building stating that an elf by the name of Malina Dess writes in person saying that she will take all expenses to do with her burial claiming the blame for the incident.

  • Erugdish has been seen eating grass, trying to cast magic and talking about the "candy plane" and "candy tree" very much lately. He alkso has been seen looking for someone of great magical prowess to make the grass in Jiyyd taste like candy, which he has failed to do.

  • One calm day while Cyrian sits next to the fire, an elf with a strong curiousity gets Cyrian to tell a story, apparently she thought he was a bard, Cyrian retells the story of a vampire in Norwick, over 20 years ago that he was forced to fight in a duel to save the citizens of the town, though shortly after the story ended a Vampire appeared on the tower saying how it was an interesting story and wondered if it was true, the vampire then dissappeared and reappeared beside Cyrian and said he should try that before dissappearing again, wether this means the vampire wants to challenge Cyrian in a duel or if he wants to take a towns citizens is unsure, though the Vampire made it clear that he would not be trying anything in Jiyyd

  • Bryn is livid when hearing this." Who is pointing fingers, let us examine them first "

  • Erugdish decides to add his 2 cents about star

"Err….Star bes good fellow! Not bes rob or nasty, b helpses Erugdish, bes nice. Maybes think someone else?"

He then rambles on about something to do with worgs and eats some grass

    • Milla, who is also laughing at the accusations against Star, adds to what Jerr said : *

"Oh, by the way, Star is one of the reason why Jiyyd is not in ruin today, after the last undead attack."

  • Jerr is seen moving about the town delivering books and checking in on the towns students. When not doing that he is keeping a close vigil on the Sisterhood compound.

The strain is beginning to tell as the usually even tenpered skald is beginning to show edges of a temper that most have never seen before. Amith is even watching him a little closer but she is nodding and spending time making sure her own sword is in top condition.

  • Jerr laughs when anyone mentions the rumor about Star being seen robbing Miss Alora. "Oh come on, do anyone of you think Star would be SEEN?" I don't know whether Alora has been forced to give false testimony or whether a glamour was used but to accuse Star of that is just plain ludicrous.

  • _4 persons can be seen walking through the missing gates of Jiyyd. One man, clad in a silver and black armor can be seen carrying a dead elf over hsi left shoulder. The 4 waste no time as they head straight for The Healing Wonders. A good hour later the companions now 5 persons, can be seen standing in the infermary of the healing wonders, talking agitadet but hushed. They seems very attent on not letting the topic they are discussing out to anyone, but the names of Shar and Auril can be heard together with the word Alliance.. And an trained eye can even see that they have posted a guard by the door of the healing wonders.

A few hours later they leave Vroka's shop. Two of the men, heads towards the Helm temple in Jiyyd, making only one stop to a local store selling magical trinkets.

Under an hour later, one of the men, a man clad in a fine blue plate can be seen chasing a small boy about the hilltop of Jiyyd. though he seems friendly he has an intent look of getting a hold of the lad.. The lad on the other hand seems to have no intentions on letting the armored man catch up, running, dodging and clutching something wich at first glance is looking like a stick in one hand.

The chase abruptsly comes to a halt, as the two are ingulfed in flame, followd by a loud BANG.. As the smoke clares the hill, only remains can be found of the boy..
As the blue clad man peers about, he spots a female spellcaster, heading for the eastern town gates towards the road to Ormpur, running with something looking as two scepters in her hands.
Again he starts the chase.. this time accompanied, by a well known female paladin, an elf allso clad in blue and the same man as earlier, wearing his black and silver armor. They follow out of town.
Hours later they can be seen returning from the road, once again the travelers are bloodied and beaten, a grim face on them all leading one to believe the spellcaster and now child murderer got away…._

((Note for those interested:! this happened yesterday rl, but been buisy and not able to post before now))

((Thank you DM Durandal, great fun! And I am looking forward to the rest of the plot. (Also think there is anothe DM involved, thank you you aswell)))

  • Word spreads of more attacks upon children at the Sisterhood. An offical announcenment by Nicahh goes out saying that classes to local children will be cancelled until the attacks upon the house have stopped. It seems the women are still taking in orphaned children, but the once open door policy has been disregarded as several guards are seen posted at the front door and at the gate leading into the farm. No one enters the house unless they live there or have been authorized by Nicahh, Nyda and Keira. A man in dark armor seems to be making the most patrols, directing people to stations and being the first to turn folks away.

  • After hearing of the assault and robbery of miss Alora, Damian Colten offers his support to the legion in bringing the accused to justice.

  • After hearing of the incident with Kull, Star and Alora, the large half-orc Legionnaire known as Erugdish has been looking for Kull and Star, not to condemn them, but to protect them. as he believes they are good people and won't let them come to any harm, espicially Star.

  • Rumors spread of a Umberhulk walked through Jiyyd into the east road followed by a number of curious adventurers then vanished as curious as its apearance was.

Also rumors float around that a messenger of Auril Goddess of Freezing everyone's butts in Narfell off appeared before a couple in front of the Sisterhood warning them to remember who brings the cold before hastly turning on its wings and flying away to spread the word of Auril.

  • A large half-oc in legion colors has been constantly seen entering the small cave in Jiyyd, then coming out, dragging a giant bag behind him. He can then been seen dragging the bag out of the gate and towards the crossroads, cursing as he goes along.

  • Word travels like wildfire about an offense in the Boarshead Inn, in Norwick, earlier. It seems the kind miss Alora, who has owned a shop and been a good citizen of the town for years, was attacked in a side room of the inn. A massive, naked orc halfbreed called Kull, who also seems to be a Legionair, was apparantly holding and squeezing the poor lass, with obvious bad intentions, when a small group of people cought him red-handed in the act. There is also mention of a young woodsy girl with a speech impairement, called Star, who seems to have taken the opportunity to rob the poor Alora of everything she owned, and dissapear into the woods.
What times are these, when civilised folk can no longer enjoy a drink in the inn?

  • Mard as seen chased by Zoma. Zoma apparently was trying to propose a merrige to mardf what made Few people fall in deep lough. All enden in front of jiyyd in when Tolin casted dispel on Zoma

"May Gods have mercy upon my enemies cos i won't"

  • Gurt can be overheard excitedly telling people at the Regal Whore that the Purple Bard Band may be performing in the area soon…

  • _The lifeless body of the mercenary known as the Raven was carried into Jiyyd not long ago by a group of adventurers. Reports would indicate that the man and his small entourage were attacked on the way to Ormpur by a mysterious mage, quite possibly belonging to the same group as the Ravens employer. In the aftermath of the event, a portal opened up in Jiyyd, spilling out worgs and dire wolves. The attack was dealt with swiftly, but the confusion about the intentions of the so called Natural Union still remains.

Local gossip mongerers might also whisper about blond battle maiden Ragnhild's sudden attraction to the drowish looking elf Braeth after the conclusion of the battle…though it would be strongly recommended not to mention any of it directly to the barbarian woman._

_An unnatural and sinister cold settled over Jiyyd just before the dawn. A group of friends sit peacefully around the fire, exchanging kind words to one another.

The dwarf Rugg'var was conversing with Private Erugdish of the Legion. Having spotted a lady standing a few steps back from over his shoulder, he kindly offered her a seat around the fire. Politely she declined, and was approached by another young woman in black and grey. The two began to speak about matters concerning the magic arts and the Spellweave.

Rugg'var overheard the shrouded woman speak of being banned from the township of Jiyyd. He promptly questioned her as to why. When she explained the circumstances, from her perspective, which led to her ban from town, the dwarf spoke softly to Erugdish that he remembered hearing about the incident which she was describing. The incident in question was the death of the town guard at this womans hands as well as a side-charge of summoned undead or some such.

The noble dwarf kindly asked for the mysterious woman to peacefully leave town, to which she declined.

The air continued to grow even more cold.

Rugg'var became visibly tensed while trying to peacefully resolve the womans trespass. Several of those present would later agree that her behavior was believed to be a direct provocation upon the town. At one point in time, he was overheard stating that he would, if necessary, use force to remove her from the town. The woman replied in a sinister laugh that to try to do so would result in a most gruesome death. Those present could see in the dwarfs expression that he was quite prepared to die if necessary. His companion, Erugdish, also was prepared to die in order to uphold the law.

Oddly enough, the guards refused to come an assist.

At the moment which seemed most dire, locked in an impasse of position, the woman made a request of those present in order to resolve with peace, the situation. She demanded that they travel into the Rawlins, to the old druid circle, and dispose of the creatures which would be lurking there.

Suddenly, the air drew deathly cold, and then there was darkness. The woman had vanished.

The companions were at odds over what should be done. The dwarfs voice of reason and wisdom prevailed, as he proposed that none should do the will of this witch. He was overheard asking a simple question, “Why play her game?” His logical reasoning was simple. This woman, who unabashedly claimed herself to be the Arch Necromancer and head of the Spellweaver, had requested that a modest band of companions should depart the warmth of their fire in order to travel deep into the woods and aggress an unknown foe at her behest? Why would someone with such a claim of absolute power need or require the aid of a small band of companions? Clearly, Rugg'var deduced, this was a trap and he would have no part in her game.

There was no shame in their collective decision. The snow had turned to ice, and the small fire outside oddly provided no warmth to them. So, they moved inside.

Those suspicions of the mysterious womans provocations would later be revealed as accurate after the womans mysterious disappearance and an immediate onset of a blanket of ice and snow. The cold seemed to clench the small town like a giant icy hand around ones throat. All exposed life outside of town was frozen to death. Crops and livestock, which had no shelter, perished in the extreme cold and ice.
A Hin named Tiggles was observed collecting all of the dead and frozen animals and storing their remains in the tavern. There were sketched reports of the woman returning and destroying the food stores of the town, though those reports could not be verified.

A deranged fellow claimed to have been cursed by the lady as well, though Rugg'var could not observe any symptoms of a curse upon the lad.

The witch did return, and stood atop the watch tower at the gate. Rugg'var and Erugdish did take up arms and charged up the tower along with others in the town, however there was another onset of darkness and then the witch was again gone.

The frigid air outside became most unbearable, and so all those present again retired to the inn to discuss the events which they had all bore witness to.

Many an ale was consumed within the tavern until at long last their tongues grew tired and the candles grew short.

Outside, an uneasy stillness settled upon Jiyyd and some swear their most sacred oath that they could hear faint, wicked laughter. Some say that even the darkness seemed to smile at the misfortune of the town… and on the frozen window pane licked the night._

    //With my appologies to T.S. Eliot. 😉

  • _The head of a half orc sits on a pike outside town. Some may recognize the face as a follower of Drelan and his crew.

He was warned a few weeks back about his behavior and banned from its gates.

But the half orc chose poorly. He continued to sneak inside the gates, to flaunt his problems with the Jiyyd watchmen.

But the final straw was the spitting in Watchman Dalron's face.

The coward fled, but nor for long.

The proof is the head of "Bathunk of Clan Oograa" sitting on a pike, attracting flies, an occasional quizzical look, and a more frequent stone thrown by a Jiyyd child._
