Jiyyd Rumors

  • The half orc/elf knwon to most as Wog was seen taking the elf Arikess to the east gate and through it onto the road beond. After a few words Wog drew his sword and knocking Arikess clean off his feat before stabbing him bringing him close to death, However the elf managed to ragain his footing and stunned the orc before blasting him with magic, then taking the sword from the bleeding Wogs hands. Two more people, Vine and Bryn, came at this point healing up Wog and then a large conversation started up, the halforc/elf and the two others claiming the mage elf was practicing animating corpses. After alot of argueing undead started spewing all over the place, The mage known as Tolin and the ranger Cotton along with the others took fight to the undead, leaving in a large long fight where more and more undead appeared and where killed. The elf Arikess seemed to sneak away. Towards the end of the fight Wog fell seeming not to back down from the hordes of undead evan when he was close to being killed. The elf Bryn took back to Jiyyd and the two where seen leving Healing Wonders, wog rubbing his head and murmering about "theiving, evil, necromantic elves" .. Ever since it is clear that Wog is out to kill Arikess blaming him for the undead.

  • Word that undead gnolls and a couple of demons at least attacked jiyyd after a party of people came running to the destroyed gates. no one seems to have died but much yelling back and forth was done.

Tala in particular yelled about holy water which was totally ignored by the defenders… save star.

Tala is later heard saying, "Don't blame me if they come back to life becuase you all were too stubborn to sprinkle holy water on them. What good is fighting them off if they don't stay dead?"

  • A couple of weeks ago, shadows attacked Jiyyd's west gate. They shadows were fought by a large group of townsfolk and visitors. Darkness blanketed the area just south of the road with many shadows creatures of various sizes spilling out to attack. The defenders bravely fought off the unnatural beings, eventually closing the portal from which the shadow creatures came.

The reason for the attack was clear. The shadows demanded a woman named "Sayla." Who this woman is and why she's wanted remains a mystery…

  • Some people mention of how two elves found a few weird things lingering in the orc plains. After a short investigation, led by the High Priestess of Sharess, they return, bringing news of strange undead that were apparently summoned through some blood drawn symbol. Upon queries, it turns out they destroyed the symbol and blessed the site with the powers of Sharess.

  • *katelynn is said to be asking around jiyyd about the recent killing of the livestock outside town.. *

  • Rumor has it that the murderer has been captured and Lens himself will be making sure his sentence is both severe and swift. Rumors are circulating that the man killed in the Regal Whore was a noble of some note. Others say it was Lens' long lost son. What is known though is that a young man who was recently taken into the Four Winds Monestary to study was found with the murder weapon in his possession. Lens is said to be getting ready to call a council meeting to discuss the punishment.

  • @a64d7b7d0b:

Alarm quickly spreads troughout Jiyyd that the bats cave is the new home of a huge cave bear.

After an examination of the cave by several members of the druid circle, no bear was found.

Furthermore, questions as to how a bear as big as this one is reputed to be could have GOTTEN into that cave without the town noticing are raised rather conspicuously by several people present.

Oreth makes it known that if there are any bear concerns, questions, or information, to contact him, Fadia, or another representative of the circle and not, repeat NOT to attempt action without first doing so.

  • A tall, muscular redhead can be seen telling a tale of how she wanted to help a wizard travel across some east road and they ran into ogres that were already dead and then some other creatures and more kept crawling out of the ground, all intent on devouring the two travelling women alive, but in a combined effort they destroyed all these unnatural things until a speaking one appeared that promised doom and destruction. But since er he um didn't er make er good er for um his er promise er to um defeat er her um he er gave um up er and er she um let er the er beast er walk er off um.

  • Many notice the farmhouse before you enter Jiyyd from the west, has been completly torn down. In its place are thousands of bricks and stacks and stacks of lumber. The foundation for a massive home seems to be going up quickly, while women in crimson and black robes stroll around the construction site, often lending a hand to the gentlemen working upon their home.

  • A few nights back, Genzir, looking uncharacteristically bewildered, bought a round of drinks for whoever was in the tavern. As they gathered around, he told a tale of a strange forest called the Forest of the Lost (or something like that). He and Ting were looking for traces of strange men who had attacked him, Ting and others in the Nars when they started seeing strange magical lights, and then, all of a sudden, they found themselves in this forest. Strange men and evil beasts walked around and talked to them, then they met a beautiful nymph who talked them into killing a 'bad man' who lived in the forest. They went through the wood, passing many strange beasts who informed them that they would die if they strayed from the path. The last of these was a huge demonic creature (a baalor?) that turned Genzir into a frost giant and Ting into a silver dragon, as per their requests. At the end of the path they came upon a white stag, which promptly turned them to stone, then cast them out of the forest back to the Nars Pass, and transformed them back to their original forms. Genzir periodically shakes his head in disbelief while telling the story. Long, strange day.

  • Anyone sitting in the Regal Whore for long enough is sure to begin hearing rumors from the local farmers coming in to the village for a late night drink to end their day. Oddly enough all of the rumors seem to center around the loss of livestock to vicious attacks. Though most have written this off to wolves coming in from the mountains.

  • Peltarch Far Scouts

Alarm quickly spreads troughout Jiyyd that the bats cave is the new home of a huge cave bear. The ranger Aghila Thanhys was seen walking out from the cave badly wounded and barely alive saying…. @dafebf8c1c:

Look for a druid… we need a druid..

    then he fell unconscious.

  • Word quickly spreads troughout Jiyyd that the fallen city of Mintas Rhelgor is crawling with powerful undead. Investigating a rumour from Nathander about "the return of Rhelgor", a group of around 10 people set out to investigate teh ruins. Once there, powerful undead started rising from the ground, several of which were invulnerable to any weapons the group carried. In the confusion of the battle and frantic retreat, 3 people of the original group, and another of the people who had come to rescue the first group, was ripped apart by the undead. Travellers are to avoid the city and surrounding area.

  • erugdish beses hear, beses nasty nasty winking fish comses to jiyyd, magics be everywhere!!!! maybes show erugdish where be little goldie bes again

  • The mage Khyrill has been around Jiyyd asking for details of the gnolls emerging from the menhirs.

  • Rumors fly of a large party including the Paladins Kara and Belade, and Lyte and Grog of the Legion, traveling to Mintas, where they reputedly took a terrible beating at the hands of extremely numerous and powerful undead creatures. The party returned dragging bodies, with everyone very badly hurt.

Tongues wag of new dangers out there in what is already a deadly land, and of the windy plains being strangely empty. What could this mean? Why are these undead rising…gnolls, shadows, eastlanders, and now these terrible undead in Mintas.

It seems days of unrest for the dead are commonplace now, and people are seen burying their dying relatives extra deeply in the ground in the local cemetery.

    Creepy times are upon us.

  • The Halfling Defence League

A massive battle took place one night within jiyyd, that claimed rumoured to be half of the entire town. All the town guardsmen were slain on that night by an army of undead, including the profaned zombies, and other undead in the form of ogres, colossals and even minotaurs.

The tide of undead were eventually defeated by a small group of adventurers, rumoured to be led by a knight of the divine shield and two other skilled mages. The group searched for the source, and was eventually led to a small camp atop a hill at the roads to ompur, where a feast was laid out with a note, "You didn't kill the bad man, so i have laid out this feast to keep up your strength. You disappoint me."

Along with the feast were impaled bodies, which were all subsequently destroyed by a fireball. The bodies seemed to be undead cut up, the clothes upon them similar to those worn by performers.

  • @14876a898e=sciolist:

A comparatively mudane and lacklustre orc assault was repulsed by a variety of heroes including Grag and Lyte of the Legion. Rumors that the General left the gates open when nipping out for a few minutes are probably untrue and likely to get a sound hit form the Bopping Stick if overheard.

A much less famous party of a dark-skinned hin related to the Tealeafs, a wizard who is unimpressed with Spellweaver's more necromantic urges and a jovial, but thin elf archer held the West gate with hails of arrows. The Legion Private Erugdish was an unassailable wall of flesh, holding the orcs outside to be slain at the archer's leisure.

((Thanks to LD for a delightful swarm of tiny orcs to play with))

"Der dun be a gud Dwarf by da names of Crome helpin out in dat dere assault! Ye be dun forgettin bout me!!", Crome cries out from over by the cooking pot as the bard scribbles down the story being related….

  • _ALARM!

Gnoll forces seem somhow to have figured out how the mehir portal's work as they suddenly and with no warning streamed out of the portal near the dwarven temple. Normal gnolls at first, then as the onwatchers and defenders saw, the schene changed to that of a nightmarish quality. the undead had arrived. The brave defenders managed to hold them off, even as one of the big gnoll demons came through….Much helped by a half orcish general dressed in dark blue and black, screeming and swiningin a greataxe wildly.

An Idea was put forth to keg the hole portal.... No one noticed the small hin running, and getting the keg, and few took notice to what was happening before the good old words of -GET DOWN- were heard.

The portal blew... but with a chaotic effect, as most people well versed in lore and spellcraft would know, and bit by bit another portal opened.

This one though was not into the gypsy camp, oh no. It was far worse, slaadi came crawling out of it...

The fight with the slaadi was fierce, and miraculosly the towns defenders stood their ground.

After the fight only one defender was taken down by the vile and cunning magic using creatures. Wich was far better then one might expect during such dire times.

A strange transparent figure, rumored to be called Solari, managed to dispell the now vile and death bringing portal, with a dazzeling display of magical talents.

((thank you DM (no tsure who it was) good fun!))_
