Jiyyd Rumors
-
That same night in the 'whore, Rumours spread of the legion's cowardice in the matter and their unbending desire to slaughter. It is said they ignored a possible avenue of peace because they were too busy wanting to kill and maim every orc in sight. The commoners also talk of how they abandoned Jiyydians to their deaths because they were too busy worrying for their own skins.
"See? I told ya' then farkin legion types were naught more than yella' bellied whelps! thinkin o' themselves afore t'town! I dun give two piles o' bat shite how them orcs are removed! if they jest leave…all t'better!"
One man is heard yeling, Another cuts in after drinking some of his ale
"The legion's done plenty for this town. I ain't goin t'believe they left citizens o' this town out there t'die. Not after tha' group tha' left had been seen talkin t'the council."
"Are y'blind?! I saw them legion types come back…an' then days later..tha' other group. Guess which 'ad dead?!"
The argument continues
"I dunno…it don' seem right...leavin members o' this town t'die...an it 'ent like 'em"
"It's t'truth"
"Fine...fine I believe y'..now siddown and drink y'ale.."
The farmer sighed and moved to his seat to settle down, lifting up his tankard to drain heavily
"S'how's the turnips Bob?"
"Oh, right fine they are.."
Meanwhile, Tolin's group is seen leaving the healing wonders with all the members alive, they are said to be battered, bruised and covered in blood when they leave. None of them look particularly happy with the events and this legion.

News of the day in the Regal Whore is of Kara and the Order of the Watchful Reprose allying themselves with the orc tribe south of Jiyyd. Most the people are saying that Kara wants to command the orcs as the Order's personal army. Others are saying that the deal is doomed by grey dwarves who would like nothing more than grinding both the orcs and Kara's group into the frozen ground of the plains. All agree that the duergar are capable of doing just that.

A woman with flame-red hair has been seen visiting Jiyyd with some frequency. Besides her hair, the silvery robe she wears is quite striking. It appears to shimmer even at night and it's material is unlike any that has ever been seen. The Seven Stars of Mystra are sewn onto the sleeves and front, suggesting her to be a holy person to Our Lady of Mysteries. She occasionally stops by the home of Kanen Hightower, with a bit of a sad smile on her face.

Sy'wyn is seen coming into Jiyyd late one night, half bloodied and travel worn, he is seen going into the Whore and renting a room, in the morning he is seen coming out, looking around furtively, sensing something wrong. As he tries and slides from town he finally realizes that all the women of Jiyyd are giving him cold cold looks. Finally, he speaks….
e: what?
and with that one word they proceed to tell him exactly what… the small elf ending up pinned back against a wall, he face blushing red, as the women continue to badger him about who he is with... and who was this elf that came in and shouted at them, and if he was with Jirka what was with the long conversations with Lyte... and what about that Nicahh girl, huh? and the druid... they knew he had a relationship with that druid! ....until finally in a total panic, Sy'wyn is seen to down a potion of invisibility. A few moments later and the pole near the wall is seen to rock, the snow on the top of the wall is suddenly brushed off, and a loud thump and retreating footsteps are heard going out onto the near east road.

Rumors spread through Jiyyd that the day has finally come. Rolan Benthur Dreadwarrior of Bane has denounced his god
Shortly after arriving in Jiyyd and talking with Kara alone several people came into town and told Rolan that Zanetar was outside waiting for him. He went immediately outside to face Zanetar and it ended with no bloodshed yet some still are talking about a possible Banite plot to gain trust and control in the town to further their own dark ends
Is it true that he has denounced Bane or is he still working for Zanetar and the church. People whisper about both possibilities

a young and very angry elven lass is seen entering jiyyd…..she reportedly spoke quite rudely with the ladies telling of sy'wyn's and jirkas engagement and it is told she kicked over all of thier belongings before she hurried from town.

The charming red headed Captain of the Troff Legion, usually attired in polished form-fitted Iron Plate Mail, is spotted coming into Jiyyd very early one morning garbed in an very exotic, fetching dress carrying flowers and grinning more than usual.
Mouths instantly began gabbling about different possible suitors. Many state firmly it is the borderline Banite Rolan, who is obviously goofy over her. Other tongues waggle of a secret liason with the amorous General Gragg, who has a sordid history with elven women, and they are quick to point out that the girl has rose in ranks awfully quickly.
Others pose other possible suitors…her new Sergeant Elrien is mentioned, and she seems chummy to many with noble Raryldor. Perhaps it is Elith Healinghands, or Sy'wyn or the dwarf Maythor or Pete Rione. Heads nod agreeably at this, and more names pour out as likely candidates.
Suddenly it seems to the local old hens that nearly every man has looked at this charming Miss with some measure of wanton desire, and they decide the matter must be carefully looked into for further details.
"Aha!" One old Jiyyd crone cackles. "I saw her looking awfully friendly with one of her newer Privates....a girl singer!!"
The little circle of tittering housewives and barmaids pauses and gives a collective gasp, and they continue with twice the level of chatter, commenting on the young Captain's aggressive bearing and her fine technique with her sword.

Rumors spread that those adventurers who went into the east with Lyte did not do a good enough job. Snow Goblins have been spoted wandering around with the Hobgoblins again to the west of Jiyyd, and now whenever it snow the people start to wonder if it is the work of the Snow Goblins or a sign that they still roam just outside the gates.
Errhanous can be seen stringing his shortbow quickly and quietly every time it snows looking to the east road then to the west. He dons his chain shirt and helmet and goes out to patrol.
-
_One stormy night a band of travellers enter Jiyyd from the east.
The popular young Legion Captain Lyte walks alongside one of her trainees. Behind them come another half dozen folk whose cloaks in the midnight gloom appear very similar under the dusting of snow that covers them.
Though all bear the signs of battle, they are in good spirits and jest that a tall, raven-haired man among them is the new goblin king on account of the crude, antlered helm he carries.
There is also talk of the old frost-goblin king having been slain by a pack of Wolves._

_Rumors spread of a group that faced off against the elf Sy'wyn in Jiyyd, questioning his faith…
Some of the rumors say he slaughtered half the druidic circle when confronted about being a Banite...
Some say he gave no answers at all, and was killed for suspicions...
Others gave tell of him asking a truth spell laid on him, before asking what it would take for him to be believed...
Every rumor agreed that he was not pleased with being confronted in the fashion he was, and all rumors give tell of him being insulted and derided by at least one young female druid...
A few of the women in town, smile knowingly and say the entire ruckus was caused by a former love of Sy'wyn's who he spurned in favor of Jirka..._

Strange sensations pulsed across the land of Narfell. Feelings of deja vu and time coming to brief stand stills. As abruptly as it came, the phenomenon passed.
-
A blue and grey robed man comes one day asking for a hin named Talyna Felf. He locates her easily enough and hands her a letter. Upon reading the letter, the normally happy-go-lucky halfling turns frantic and worried. She runs off to the Silver Valley as fast as she can. "We leave in the morning," the robed man shouts to her, hoping she heard.
-
And a letter is sent to Kara…
@588d16e77c:
Yo yeller!
I hear you're in need of an artist. I'll be in touch,
-Pinky.
-
Word spreads from the 'Whore and around the town that Kara and the Guardians is looking for an artist for a special commision they have in mind. No details are spread, just that anyone with the needed abilities is to get in contact with Kara when they can.
-
_Word spreads quickly that a small group searching the area for supplies for the old woman in the gypsy tree, found not only the missing supplies, but also a missing girl from Jiyyd. Though no one has yet straightened the matter out as to what happened, the few that were there tell tale of a Cyric priest trying to consecrate a new shrine with the blood of the girl, and the elf Sy'wyn saying, "kill me instead" there was a brief scuffle as the priest tried to do just that, as Sy'wyn calmly told the others to get the supplies, and the girl and to get out…. before the Cyrist died finally. Sy'wyn immediately set to cleansing the area, and then assured the girls safety back to Jiyyd.
If any hearing the rumor ask why the normally self centered elf did such a selfless thing, the women smile knowingly and say the girl was favored by Jirka, and obviously Sy'wyn is making one last effort to save the relationship with his love._
-
Rumors spread that a very very old dwarf wearing a robe entered Jiyyd with a escort. The escort all wore the same armor as Jirka. The old dwarf walked straight into the batcave and magic sparks were seen. Some say he was there to enchant the temple, others say he is Jirkas new lover and that the relationship she had with Sy might be in jeopardy now.
-
There are rumours in town that local woodcutters spoke with the strange grey goblins in the woods east of Jiyyd. There was no mention of hobgoblins in that area.
-
Rumors tell that Goblins have been seen and working with Hobgoblins to harm travelers in the Near east pass.
<edit>They were blue, some think they came from another tribe far to the north … SNOW GOBLINS</edit>
-
Rumors of some cult murmur amongst the regular attendants in the Regal Whore. Two humans, speaking with a strange accent and both dressed the same with similar style swords.
"They're called katanas!" one man shouts.
Preparing for a ritual of sorts it seemed, one knelt as if he was praying. A young legion man interrupted the proceedings to be yelled at by one of the men, the one who wasn't kneeling. Next thing you know there's blood everywhere. One of them stabbed the other right through. The Legion lad tried patching him up, and when that didn't work, he forced a bottle of healing potion down the dying man's throat. Then, the legionnaire..
"His name is Wing or Ving or something!"
Well.. Wing or Ving goes running out after the murderer/cultist.

(this poem was inspired by an annonymously authored Holocaust poem, which I think is titled "I Said Nothing".)
Tacked to the doors and walls of the city, the following poem is scattered throughout all districts of Peltarch and the Town of Jiyyd.
_The Price of Nothing
They arrived in the city and gathered disciples together to pray
A cathedral of domination and standing just inside the lines
Their hearts black we knew it only boded things of evil
Suspecting their plots and plans they made from cover of shadowsBut we said nothing
They sought and acted to create dissention amongst ourselves
The city heart filling with growing doubt along the lake shores
And infighting arose and we knew where the roots of it lay
The source of the black poison that filled the hearts of the foundationBut still we said nothing
Then they began to seek out the attackers of our chosen leaders
In strange curiosity and growing interest in the violent actions
Wishing maybe to aid and remove our lawmakers and protectors
Exchanging them for a chosen of their pack of abusive handsAnd yet still we said nothing
They gather power through disciples
They create dissention amongst us
They act to replace what is ours with theirsThey do this from the shadows
We know the truth
But have no proof of itAre our hands truly bound from action?
All we do is wait
And still we say nothing
Tomorrow
They will force us
To serve
To fear
To submitWith their wills in mind and not our own
For this is what we waitThe price of nothing
Soon we will be unable to say anything at all
