Jiyyd Rumors

Up in the archers tower overlooking the gate of Jiyyd two elves talk.
"I tell you, we have got to find him someone."
The female makes a small moue and shakes her head. "Llach? you've seen how mercilessly he teased Py when she had a boyfriend."
"Fadien, I also have seen how he acts around other women lately. He got me to follow a elf sorceress named Lwyn, looking for the 'lair' of an aquaintance." I Know he knew there was something funny about it but he went right along like a sheep to the slaughter.
"And you followed too?" She asks dryly.
"Well, somebody had to look after Llach."
"And we do that, he IS family."
"So it is the usual trip along the east road to Ormpur. Lwyn gets hurt but says she is afflicted with 'wild magic' and stops Llach from healing her. We get to Ormpur and she is not even sure which cave she needs to go into. So we start to explore and what do we trip across but a pair of humans in a coughs delicate moment."
"Poor Llach."
"yeah well he didn't spend a lot of time there, but neither did we. Next cave just has some bodies in it and little else so we move to the third."
"Third is always lucky"
"Suppose it was, there was somethig in there. Looked like demeneted undead trees. They cast spells and charged us but Llach and I fought side by side and they fell swiftly."
"Side by side? Llach uses a bow . . . "
"I tell you he is getting strange when women are present. Then he pulls back as the slime off the walls gathers up into this huge glob of mucus and attacks. Lwyn and I are almost stuck in it when Llach touches the walls and lightning fills the air."
'Inside the cave?"
"I know. It hurt him some because he staggered up and had to lean against me as we moved forward again. There was a man, beyond the strange monsters. All dressed in dark with a black shield he applauded our efforts then brushed past and out of the cave. No thanks, just an 'Oh well done'"
"Was Llach all right?"
"He got his strength back and but there was nobody else in the cave, just a small chest. Llach took some things from it but we haven't done any division of things yet."
"So then you came home?"
"We were going to, but Llach heard somethign up in the hills and lead us back to where a wolf was trying to tell Cike something. Cike was one of the humans we had . . . .ahem . . .interupted earlier."
Fadien smiles. "humans…they are insatiable."
Alvar chuckles. "That is exactly what Lwyn said. So we follow him and the wolf, Lllach running to lead the way, and we find a pack of wolves in a cave gathered about a bitch about to give birth."
"Oh! How Cute!"
"No, it wasn't. I did not go well. In spite of everything Llach and Cike and the human female could do, the she wolf died."
"And the cubs?" Fadien asks, tearing up.
He snorts. "With Llach there? He sent ME running into town to buy milk. Then Cike took the four little cubs and we escorted hi all the way back to the Wolf lair. Cike hoped that one of the peope there might have a shewolf that could suckle the newborns. last i saw of Cike he was hanging about the front of their gate, in case they needed anything."
Fadien smiles. "He is fine. But maybe we should see about finding someone for him . . . ."
"What do you mean 'we'?"
Fadien chuckled so evilly that Alvar felt a chill run down his spine.

The white elf Rary was seen enjoying casting of various romantic cantrips on the Lake of Jiyyd and surrounding areas as two loving couples enjoyed each other's company. Elrien and Bryn near to the bridge, and Lyte with Pete near to the union hall.

A small hin introducing herself as Philomena Sureshot of the Wolves of Narfell has been making enquiries in the environs of Jiyyd as to recent reports of treant activity in the area.
Any useful information on this topic would be gratefully received, and, she suggests, may even be rewarded materially.

_…. A huge and ugly half orc (half human as he calls himself) with a gold and black armor namly Kronk the smarts of the Guardians, can be seen walking around in Jiyyd with the biggest grin ever.
He can even be heard singing horribly on his old favourite song "8 schools of magic". Often he is seen trying to pet the butterflies around the Jiyyd area. Rumor even has it, that he has grown his own rose garden somewhere.....
Now the reason for all this is of course the unconfirmed rumor, that was on everyones lips for a whole turn of the hourglass, that Queen Basha of the west gates of Jiyyd, kissed him....
For those living in Jiyyd they know that this particular halforc have been shyly aproaching Basha for years now, handing her small gifts and such. Finally it seems she has come to acknowlidge him!_

After an orc attack, a female elf paladin in red halfplate gave a long lesson about poison and diseases. There was a lot of interaction with her "students", and at most, eight other adventurers were listening to her //not sure about the commoners, but probably a couple
At around one hour past highmoon, she put her chair back in the inn, and set off for Peltarch in a hurry. She promised to hold further lessons later, including practical ones on swordfighting and archery.

A man in all red is seen entering and leaving the Legion halls after several hours he was also seen fighting off undeads with massive fireballs by the outer walls of Jiyyd

Rumors spread about the attack on Jiyyd by two treants. Many are puzzled at why the generally docile creatures would attack the citizens of Jiyyd. Unfortantly one creature had to be taken down to keep it from killing folks, while the other took the chance to retreat back into the woods.

Jerr and his son are seen walking out of the town with large packs and grins on their faces. "Off to camp!" Jerr is heard to almost sing. Amith is seen standing at the entrance to the Silver Valley waving and seeing them off before turning back to get her armor.
The following morning some get to sleep in as jerr does NOT return to sing up the sun.

_All throughout the nights, sounds of hard work , grunting and construction emanate from the bat cave. While some speculate that dying frogs and other sickly animals have moved into the cave, others suggest that it is just singing dwarves with ale, working on Horbag's restaraunt.
Kegs of ale appear to be slowly disappearing from the inn and empty barrels piling up outside the cave and every once in a while, a drunken ginger dwarf stumbles from the cave to get another keg…it would seem the Thorbrands are putting themselves to use._

Another orc attack on Jiyyd was stopped by citizens of Jiyyd and others. The orcs sent several waves of crushers, destroyers and the odd Magi. At the end of the battle several of the dead orcs became undead and first attacked Jiyyd then turned on their former kin.

_Rumors abound of a large scale attack on the eastlander bandit's compound by a combined force under the auspices of General Grag.
Supposedly hundreds upon hundreds of "band-oos"….archers, priests, officers and more, were crushed by the heroes in response to the increased ambushes of caravans and deaths of innocent travelers on the road twixt Norwick, Jiyyd and Peltarch.
Such goodly notables as Lady Kara, the Priest Raryldor and the lovely Bard of the Legion Silmathienia are said to have participated in this mighty battle, and it is rumored they breached the bandit's gates, and were on the verge of collapsing eastlander morale altogether when a dragon's presence was felt in the skies, with flames shooting about, and a great eastlander Chief showed up, saving the miserable bandits hides from further indignities._

Rumors spread of a couple individuals who remain unnamed beating Hobgoblins to death outside of Jiyyd with large fish. Remains of splattered fish guts and remains can be found on various carcasses of Hobgoblin all around the outskirts of Jiyyd.

_A old face has recently returned to Jiyyd, known as Herban Dunstil. While this man looks remarkibly unremarkible, one thing sticks out ; a large case of dyes he is dragging along with him. All around Jiyyd during the afternoons, shouts of 'Dyes available!' can be heard throughout the square for anyone listening.
He seems to have a limited selection of colours at the moment, but is quick to reassure any that more supplies are on the way with a warm smile._

Maya was seen packing a few precious belongings and heading north. Rumor has it that she sold the Bromley Estate.

Chaevre' was seen to have popped into Jiyyd the other day, she claims she was looking for her sword, and when no one had it for her she looked quite dissapointed and promised to return again.

_Several sightings of a large shadow taking shape of a dragon was seen in the East Road of Jiyyd, the valley of the hins and Jiyyd.
It was also noted that several battles had taken place by a group of warriors in attempt to stop the dragon in the East Road and the Valley but as always, the dragon seemed to vanished suddenly as it had appeared. The overall event ended with a death of a hin scribe and Mallis can be seen to be looking very flustered by the outcome.
Not long after the commotion in the Valley, the shadow dragon made its reappearance in Jiyyd though only for a brief moment with no attempt to attack. Following that, Amana was seen to be confronting Zoma concerning the subject of the matter. The core subject of the discussion was largely unknown as most of the commoners were dumbstrucked by the sight of the unexpected dragon.
As soon as Zoma had left the town of Jiyyd with a female hin, Cassie, the dragon made its appearance once more and attacked Shannon, a Defender of Peltarch who was following Zoma close behind. Once again, it disappeared into the shadows as soon as it was injured.
Where and how the dragon appeared was largely unknown though no doubt, whenever it made its appearance, Zoma is always present in the scene, by coincidence or by reason._

The gate towrads Ormpur opens and a group of Guardians and two others enter with an cart pulled by an ox, they seem somewhat cold and weary, after a short stop they mount up again and head off for Pelt with the cart

Lilin and Zoma have a long conversation, and Lilin kicks him in the shins several times. She goes off with Cike looking flustered. Anyone there noted that Zoma thought she was 40. which she's not.

People are talking about a late afternoon skirmish with a band of orcs at the west gate. Later that same night, the bravest of Jiyyd's defenders battled a shambling horde of undead in the plains. By dawn, the adventurers persevered, and brought their fallen to Vroka's for prayers.

… A limping trio comes stumbling through the Jiyyd gates from the road to Ormpur. All three look like they have taken a severe beating. Two of them, both males seems quite content on getting out of where ever they have been alive, but the Lady acompanying them smirks. To those who asks they tell a unlikely tale of Fire Giants on the cold road to Ormpur. The two males still seems glad to be alive as the lady seems more frustraited by the fact that the last giant fleed and got away. They meet up with friends inside the town walls of Jiyyd and are aided with their severe wounds. After some time they deside to head out again with more numbers to try and track the last of the giants down. Not more then six turns of the hourglass after they return..... with no news of the fleeing fire giant. //thank you dm. I for one was sure I was going to dye!
