Jiyyd Rumors

  • _A old face has recently returned to Jiyyd, known as Herban Dunstil. While this man looks remarkibly unremarkible, one thing sticks out ; a large case of dyes he is dragging along with him. All around Jiyyd during the afternoons, shouts of 'Dyes available!' can be heard throughout the square for anyone listening.

He seems to have a limited selection of colours at the moment, but is quick to reassure any that more supplies are on the way with a warm smile._

  • Maya was seen packing a few precious belongings and heading north. Rumor has it that she sold the Bromley Estate.

  • Chaevre' was seen to have popped into Jiyyd the other day, she claims she was looking for her sword, and when no one had it for her she looked quite dissapointed and promised to return again.

  • _Several sightings of a large shadow taking shape of a dragon was seen in the East Road of Jiyyd, the valley of the hins and Jiyyd.

It was also noted that several battles had taken place by a group of warriors in attempt to stop the dragon in the East Road and the Valley but as always, the dragon seemed to vanished suddenly as it had appeared. The overall event ended with a death of a hin scribe and Mallis can be seen to be looking very flustered by the outcome.

Not long after the commotion in the Valley, the shadow dragon made its reappearance in Jiyyd though only for a brief moment with no attempt to attack. Following that, Amana was seen to be confronting Zoma concerning the subject of the matter. The core subject of the discussion was largely unknown as most of the commoners were dumbstrucked by the sight of the unexpected dragon.

As soon as Zoma had left the town of Jiyyd with a female hin, Cassie, the dragon made its appearance once more and attacked Shannon, a Defender of Peltarch who was following Zoma close behind. Once again, it disappeared into the shadows as soon as it was injured.

Where and how the dragon appeared was largely unknown though no doubt, whenever it made its appearance, Zoma is always present in the scene, by coincidence or by reason._

The gate towrads Ormpur opens and a group of Guardians and two others enter with an cart pulled by an ox, they seem somewhat cold and weary, after a short stop they mount up again and head off for Pelt with the cart

  • Lilin and Zoma have a long conversation, and Lilin kicks him in the shins several times. She goes off with Cike looking flustered. Anyone there noted that Zoma thought she was 40. which she's not.

  • People are talking about a late afternoon skirmish with a band of orcs at the west gate. Later that same night, the bravest of Jiyyd's defenders battled a shambling horde of undead in the plains. By dawn, the adventurers persevered, and brought their fallen to Vroka's for prayers.

  • … A limping trio comes stumbling through the Jiyyd gates from the road to Ormpur. All three look like they have taken a severe beating. Two of them, both males seems quite content on getting out of where ever they have been alive, but the Lady acompanying them smirks. To those who asks they tell a unlikely tale of Fire Giants on the cold road to Ormpur. The two males still seems glad to be alive as the lady seems more frustraited by the fact that the last giant fleed and got away. They meet up with friends inside the town walls of Jiyyd and are aided with their severe wounds. After some time they deside to head out again with more numbers to try and track the last of the giants down. Not more then six turns of the hourglass after they return..... with no news of the fleeing fire giant. //thank you dm. I for one was sure I was going to dye!

  • The Chatty women of Jiyyd Speak of the Red clad Pete having a dallance with the ever vigilant blue clad Lyte.

They also speak of Horbag and one Zoma Dumonte having a budding relationship as well.

  • Legion

*Word spreads like Wild fire of the women known as Cheavre now is The Dark Enchantress! it is heard grag is looking for anyone with information or history on the Dark Enchantress…

  • A few adventurers, lead by Amana and Nawen took care of some snipers who were trying to pick off anybody in the Jiyyd Archers tower. When challenged the snipers fell back ot the central plains where a larger force waited in ambush.

Fortunately the group was too experienced to fall for such a trap and, instead, turned their attention to undead gnolls who were beginning to boil out of the gypsy Camp.

One huge orc female (Jerr says she weighed more than he did, seeing as he was the one to lug her all the way back to Jiyyd) fell while the rest beat a retreat in the face of enemies immune to most of the weapons being used.

  • It is said that the Legion and other people in Jiyyd chased about an Orc Magi for hours in town. The magi was blessed with haste and steonskin spell making it hard to hit. Eventually it fled out the west gates after hours of chasing. Rumor has it that Major General Grag and Major Theaon of the Legion stole a body of a fallen Legionare in the first section of their fortress that the orcs wanted gold for.

  • For a day the happy hin Tiggles can be seen walking around Jiyyd with a large sack over her shoulder, the contents stuffed with candy as later discovered.

candy hangs from the trees and is left in little socks for all of the houses with children as well as left for the legion and most establishments within the town. It's clear to see enough candy was to be found for all.

Tiggles herself was heard to be exlaiming, "Happy Oackenbuckle day!" and was later joined by Bryn, both clad in their sisterhood robes as they made their way North, the sack still containing much candy.

  • After hearing the latest rumours of the myrkulites being nearby and in force, Kara can be heard to be commenting on her routine duties to the temple of Helm

I do not think the priests followers of Myrkul…if there were priests present, they would not have a god to call on...somewhat difficult when he has been dead for no short amount of time. Caution should be taken.

  • it is rumored a bard has recently visited Jiyyd, though not unusual, this bard was heard reciting some very odd poetry… then getting paid by the audiance for his recitation of a poem about a stalker.

  • *After the death of her friend Pete to evil Myrkulites, Lyte Bry'Gaede can be seen often praying at the lake for his safe return to life.

It is rumored she took the head of the head Priest who led the cultists against people on the plains, and was involved in the slaying of a score or more in a bloody massacre east of Jiyyd on the snowy road.

She seems somber and gloomy, and asks about details of these Myrkuls…where they might have originated, their customs and god.

All who talk to her on this subject get the feeling Myrkulites will have short life expectancies in the vicinity of this elfish practicer of bushido*

  • The Commons are alive with the story of a bleeding group of Major Lyte, Ria, and Cike, colapsing by the pool. Word spread that Lyte used every curse that came to mind about cultists on the east road. Ria kept talking about werewolves as well, as Cike just lay slumped and silent by the pool cradling his head looking pale and sickly.

  • Belade Galadon lets it be known that she has found out that the people who attacked them were not Banites, but followers of Myrkul pretending to be Banites.

  • A small group of people came in to Jiyyd badly wounded, and told those in the Jiyyd commons about how they had battled a large group of Banites in the dangerous orc lands. The body of one of them was recovered, and luckily there were no more casualties. It is believed that some of them escaped, but they left no trace.

  • Rumor circulates of Jiyyd being set upon by a horde of spiders. Although the vermin were exterminated with relative ease, a side story in the whole affair had the illustrious Senator of Peltarch and Magistrati of Azuth Evendur Mildsilver inadvertently setting a cornfield ablaze and wounding a fellow defender with a poorly-timed fireball. Evendur is reported to have been extraordinarily distraught over this error, begging forgiveness and understanding from those affected, and vowing penance to his Lord for his most unbecoming sin.
